Dear dakara, the policeman who came in that was sort of blonde was my cousin Robert Blanche. He has since passed away but one of the most enjoyable jobs he had in his career was interacting with the cast and crew of the show you're watching Grimm. I miss him dearly. He was one of those kind of actors who was good at his job and had many roles but somehow remained basically still in the background. But he was real well respected by his peers. He did indie films he wrote and directed and really loved the industry of filmmaking and television. But he said his greatest role was being a father to his five girls. I miss him dearly. With respect always, Brant Heavner
I think the language and subtitles was a deliberate choice based on which character we were following. In the beginning it was from Nick's POV and he doesn't know Spanish, but later it's Juliette's POV then we get subtitles because she knows what he's saying
Dude, I literally forgot Kate del Castillo was in this. She's a very famous Mexican actress. Her father, Eric del Castillo, was a very well known and respectable actor. A legend. She took after her father when it came to acting. She began doing telenovelas at a young age. I remember seeing a couple of them growing up. Eventually she went from the small screen to the big screen. But she's back to the small screen in a popular show called Reina Del Sur (Queen of the south) about a young woman from Mexico who becomes the most powerful drug trafficker in southern Spain. And Bitsie Tulloch is a very good spanish speaker. She was born in San Diego but grew up in Spain, Argentina and Uruguay. That's how spanish was her first language but not fluent in it.
Great reaction to a great Halloween themed ep with a terrifying adversaryand I appreciate that Grimm does explore some legends from other cultures... and it gave Bitsie Tulloch a chance to show off her excellent spanish. Thanks for sharing your "book of lore" with us as well, D! a Halloweeny CTU for you today, and keep em coming!
I watched Grimm when it originally aired, and I loved when Hank finally knew what was going on because I felt that he couldn't be as involved with the episodes when he didn't know. I mean, why have Nick have a partner if he was being kept in the dark?
Great content as always! I think Hank finding out was very important, especially in light of the Juliette amnesia storyline. They needed to shake up the status quo a bit, and show they were willing to do that. And I feel like that's even more important because Juliette lost her memories. A lot of shows would wait until season 3 or 4 before shaking up the status quo. It was a bold and important move for the show.
fun fact: if you remember WAY back to the spn pilot, they were playing on the la llorona story for that ghost! they also used the terms "weeping woman" and "woman in white" EDIT: ope, you remembered! lol
I forgot to add Dakara, that to this day, the legend of La Llorona still exists in the Hispanic culture. There are scary vids out there of people recording/capturing the wails, cries and moans of a woman. The most creepiest unnerving thing you could ever hear. Don't matter if you think it's real or fake, it's the fact that someone had to make those sounds and it's put out there in the universe for all to hear. Gives me the heebie jeebies. Adults pass the story along to their children usually to scare them when they misbehave but my and I being Mexican, we don't mess with shit like that. We take it seriously and we don't make fun of the dead. I thank my lucky stars I have never had a paranormal incident. Can't say the same for my late mother, my niece, my sister and her boyfriend. They've had their own paranormal encounters like shadow people/spirits, elves/little people, and possibly a ghost encounter.
This episode should not have been a Halloween episode. It should be in May and it should be something that happens every 5 years. The woman provides an actual detailed story of the legend of the crying woman. Juliet working around Sean on the case intensifies the obsession between the two. Nick and Hank find a reference to the crying woman in the journals. One of Nick's ancestors witnessed the crying woman lead 3 children into a river towards the spirits of her children. The children she was leading disappeared beneath the water before she could reach the spirits of her children and the spirits of her children disappeared. the crying woman screams in anguish before she disappears as well. The detective from Arizona that shows up with information to help was fired for her obsession over these incidents. The FBI insists on placing her under arrest for impersonating an officer. Sean keeps her on the case realizing she is a valuable resource. After the children are rescued Sean contacts her precinct in Arizona. Sean gets her firing reversed in exchange for sharing credit with them in the success of recovering the children. I personally don't like the mystically sensitive woman. Sean is met at his house by Adalind who has a red wig offering to help take the edge off caused by his obsession.

Wesen should just walk around Woged for Halloween they would have the best costumes.
Takes a certain mental state to remain woged to the extant were regular people can see you.
@@DaDunge Yes true just a funny idea

If she ever watched a la llorona movie she'd have a heart attack 😂. I love horror movies🍿
More Grimm please 🥰
Based on this, Supernatural and La Llorona stories growing up, I will never trust a woman in a white gown in public. 😁
Comments of the episode 10 of good place is turned off. I just wanted to say that we need more of you Jane 😍🥳😍🥳
La Llorona is interesting because while it's still a modern ghost story even my mother told me as a kid it's based on the Lamia of ancient mythology.
No. Tas mal.
Keep up the good work, love the reactions, hope the youtube algorithm becomes less and less problematic for ya.
Random reminder:
You haven't created a playlist for Season 2.
