    I appreciate this video, i'm thinking of going into the reserves/NG as they have opportunities to pick up assignments at cooler missions rather than active duty where you're stuck at a duty station for 3-4 years. About to reach my ETS date so contemplating the reserves heavily.

    Do you have a deep dive video on recycling? What does it look like on a deeper level? The incidence, prevalence, percent of recruits that recycle, etc? What does it look like if say, you get really sick during training or it fail some sort of testing etc. You touch on it several places but what video goes the *most in depth? Love your channel!
    Just a thought: have you ever thought about selling what to pack for basic training items on YOUR site? Your video is great on explaining what to pack and just to support the channel I bet people would buy everything from moleskin and cough drops to book bags and religious medallions. I would. Just an idea. Same thing for parents and items to send to recruits -sell em! ❤

      Thank you so very much for watching this video and I hope you stay blessed! 🇺🇸🙏🏼
      Interesting idea. The video wouldn’t be that detailed honestly without DOD Data. You can be recycled in general for failing to complete any portions of one’s mandatory graduation requirements. Sometimes company commanders can do a waiver but not typical. Recycling to an earlier phase is optimal for a trainee but depending on the details and circumstances… one will get recycled to day zero. Which really sucks and takes a lot of self motivation and drive to redo portions of BCT. I’d say a good percentage are very apprehensive of redoing training but for the ones that stick it out… excel.
      As for the packing list idea… I love it and will look into it for sure! Thank you for the idea.

      If you’re not contracting within 6mo of discharge from AD, last I checked you could avoid MEPS with a valid PHA. I believe we got a new update that if I recall correctly, may have been extended to 12mo from discharge from AD but I’d have to look that up. US ARMY MEPS MEDICAL WAIVER GUIDE & BEST TIPS | WHAT IS THE US ARMY MEDICAL WAIVER PROCESS? ua-cam.com/video/P02k-kCmTio/v-deo.html
      You’ll need to be off medications for at least 6-8 weeks and you’re more than likely need to wait 6mo before you can apply depending on how they discharge you. After the 6mo you can reapply and my recommendation is monthly go to the doctor to get your blood pressure checked and this will show proof or evident that you’re stable for a period of time and significantly help with your medical waiver. Good luck and best wishes!

    What’s up big SFC. Question from active duty guy who wants to go Guard after contract. If I have a VA rating of 70%, can I transition into Guard still ?

    • @TEAMSWARTZ
      @TEAMSWARTZ  9 місяців тому +1

      Unfortunately, the cut off percentage is 30% for the Guard but Reserve might still be able to take you. Work a direct transfer from AD to Reserve and if it all works out, be sure to get you pay situated with the difference in VAD and your normal pay or be prepared to pay back in taxes at the end of the year.

    • @TEAMSWARTZ
      @TEAMSWARTZ  Рік тому

      Unless you do 20yrs on federal active duty service, you’ll retire as a part time soldier instead combining all your active duty time and reserve/guard time.
      Active Duty Retirement: minimum of 20yrs of active service (full time)
      Reserve Retirement: Combination of Active and Reserve/Guard time to equate to 20 + years of service.
      Hope this helps clear it up and thank you for your kind words!

      That’s not what this video is about but def make sure your PHA is less than a year old and begin the process 30-60 days prior to your ETS Date. Keep in mind your only options based on your line scores and other eligibility standards are based on their Prior Service Business Rules:
