Sorry about the spelling of Wildtrak at the start of the video - IT'S LITERALLY WRITTEN ON THE SCREEN 😂 - Sean is now living peacefully at the bottom of the river crossing we used at the end of the video.

This is my favorite car review video.
I love your format, you give me so much information and so much detail and I'm so engaged throughout.
I love the cruise control test, love the reverse test and I love the outside B - roll footage and how well it is synced.
Keep innovating and introducing more stuff and you honestly have the best off-road segment in the industry.
I would recommend a night time drive to teat out the lights, the ambient lighting and the interior usability at night.
I would also recommend you get some copyright free music to test out the audio system cause I believe we are able to discern the difference from one car to another.

Hey mate, thank you so much for your amazing reviews. Just got my Wildtrack in Luxe yellow and I’m over the moon. This is my first Ute ever and honestly I’m enjoying every bit of it. Opted for 4 cylinders and honestly no issues, a decent engine and drives beautifully on highway and in town (knowing Canberra is not really ‘urban’. Had to wait 6 months for mine; would have been another 9-12 months for a V6, which is another factor behind my choice of a 4 cylinders. As you say in your review, the engine is very very good. Highly recommended. Cheers, Marwan

Just a quick public service announcement: DON'T put disposable cups with hot liquids in the dash mounted cup holders!!! Unless you want some scalding liquid in your leg in case of a sudden stop, sharp turn, or an accident of any kind, that is xD
Those cup holders are better suited for bottles with caps. Keep the disposable cups in the center cup holders for safety and to avoid any spills (it's still be a nuisance to deal with a spilled cup of Coca-Cola all over your jeans, seats, and carpet/mats).

The factory speedometer will most likely not be accurate and when you start to compare vehicles it will not be fair giving sly manufacturers an advantage (like on my Hilux which has a 9% difference between GPS and true speed!)

Good as usaul Paul. I've had my V6 with touring pack for 1 1/2 months now replacing a Px2. The Px2 was a great but this is something else, I love it. Boy is it tall compared to the Px2
    There are dissapointments:
    - Your have to prop up the reasonably heavy bonnet with a stick. i.e no struts.
    - For minimal cost the cup holders could have been there.
    - The reversing camera screen portion is too small, the screen being taken up with the 360 degree view.
    - The bar graph taco is useless.
    There are safety concerns:
    - You have to take your eyes off the road often, cancelling the auto stop or using the auto sports shift buttons.
    - This vehicle is crazy noisey (unacceptable) in rainy conditions from the windscreen right through the roof area. I'm not sure that theres any insulation in the roof. If you pass under trees after rains its like sticking your head in a tin bucket and hitting it with a stick. The saftey issue being you cant make any handsfree phone calls, the noise on the roof overrides any commands or conversation. This is a real concern for me. Paul, have you experienced this? Maybe they didn't insulated my particular vehicle.
What is an exceptionally quiet vehicle normally is the other end of the scale in rain.
    Cheers

The road noise is helpful. Is there any chance of also putting both results on the screen at the same time as well?

Great addition of the cruise control and lane keeping assist segments, they are one of the most important factors in modern vehicles in my opinion, great great addition to the vid

Does it still have the 220v outlet of previous generations? I use that function in my wildtrak all the time.

Ordered mine, do you think the windows need tinting? Dealer wants to sting an extra 600 for tint. Looks like it’s already got it

The second row is fine - it’s dark enough. You could do the front but it didn’t feel like it got too hot in the sun. Keep in mind it’s -30 in Melbourne at the moment 😂

Thank you for the much detailed review of this truck. I am now definitely going to my local Ford dealer to ask about the Raptor. It has everything I need and the guys from Ford have thought about every little stuff you might need. Great car, great review. Thanks Paul!

On review and hearing some news, how does one answer your phone while driving? Noticed there is no "phone button" on the steering wheel. Cheers

I have a 6 month wait ahead of me for my Wildtrak V6, Thanks for making me want it soo much more! Fantastic video, and im really glad to see how much of a beast Ford have made this over previous Generations and other manufacturers! The wait is gonna be worth it

What about spot lights and a canopy can we fit those in the ford ranger wildtrack and remove the roll shatter

Love the new look of the Ranger. It now follows the design style of Fords other trucks. Looks like a bigger Maverick! I think the antenna should be down on the hood in the old school location.

Hi Paul. So what is the go with the Lang Lang proving ground? Like is it open to the public or are you just very lucky that you can use it for your road tests?

I love the new styling. and is definitely a class leading ute. Amorok will be a interesting comparison. But the raptor is going to be very exciting.

    • @vaughanlynch145
      @vaughanlynch145 2 роки тому +1

Agree. I'd go the Raptor if it had a decent tow rating. I know the rear coils etc de-rate it however I'm sure Ford could have got it a bit higher. Would certainly give the Y62 a bit of competition for those who want a ute vs wagon.

    • @432wheels
      @432wheels 2 роки тому

@@vaughanlynch145 yeah. Really torn. Want to get the Raptor but just not sure if I’m going to regret the tow rating. Don’t really do any towing now and want to later but small trailers and caravans might be all I want. Some small vans can push the 2.5t limit though

Hi Paul, I’ve ordered a new wildtrak back in early march,my question are ,are the mirrors good enough for towing a caravan, because of all the gadgets on them ,cost of after market ones I think would be up there in price, and also could you provide more info on the auxiliary switches and how you hook up to them.
