Hi Shawn, hey just notice Michael Flying V it Dean Guitar and Dean not making any more Flying V because of Gibson lawsuit against Dean Guitars and I just wonder if Michael go back to Gibson? Gibson should give Michael a Gibson Endorsement and Michael start off playing Gibson Flying Vs anyway.
@@ShawnStaplesFreeGuitarLessons Could be, back in the 80s there were a few different off shaped Vs made by Charvel, Jackson, Kramer, Etc. I remember Randy Rhoads played one.
@@1Phepsi So I checked for fun to see what people are asking for the Dean Schenker V's and this is the least expensive one at 2K and they go up to 6K. www.ebay.com/itm/175368109936?hash=item28d4c0ff70:g:PdoAAOSwBkdi5YGD&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAA8AkhVwGzMikgChshBoXWXZe8xaglxhY09YfViMQb54JcHwljiTc445qraK3sHPl7aDCGYEFK4A2HyVWgtqKRXshY8AAQIIrEhRrnpEBxVmmwmVDkFzYobxnhTrjZZB52XiEZEg8GmO7U5rx1HM89fo%2FYQLDwtxU09ED1UJWjyLb5o6zblqSf6CJPn04b6cTmC%2FiqwwUUHTDKFcAMPhcBhi7mY8ZlatZv%2FCO09wh1KgwobIYBxWu5iz53R1auhJ3Efi1pjXr%2F1BDR276tOcDZHtXOABSMbbJy03bhML3voVHNSMHKy2v4qRRyplKfSs54yg%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABFBMrqCSyvZg
I have always been a huge fan of Michael and his style.. but not a fan of much after UFO.. it's not his playing I haven't cared for but the composition of the songs laid down aside of it.. With UFO it seemed like the songs were structured around his awesome riffs to highlight them.. everything since jas seemed to pretty much hide it.. Not sure if im explaining my thoughts correctly or clearly in a way others can understand.. 🤔 He's just a kickass player and one of a few musicians I've always wanted to meet and just jam with but haven't.
I get it and at first thought the same. I changed on some songs though. Captain Nemo and Into the Arena are great songs. I am 65 and saw UFO with Michael 4 times as a teenager young 20's and was upset when he left. I boycotted his new band for a long time. Pete Way was also a main songwriter in UFO and Michael lost that when he went on his own.
Y'all try not to take this the wrong way I grew up around roughly 15 to 20 guitarists shared Lex and tricks with each other the one thing that really sticks with me about Michael Schenker was that you should take one songs and once you got it down you did make another 10 or 12 songs out of at the time I wasn't quite sure why that was I just thought it was cool because yeah one song opens the door to all bunch of different songs yeah I'm not saying all his songs sound the same because they don't it's just a very few guitars actually open that type of door
A LEGEND! Nobody like him - Phrasing and feeling unmatched.
I agree, the most melodic guitarist in my book and can shred if he needs to.
.. and he has always just come up with it all on the fly.. effortlessly.. it just flows from him
My son is actually wanting to hear more of my ancient stuff we called music.....there is hope for the younger generation after all.....Who knew?????
Get him a guitar.
@@chrisbell5032 I loaned him a strat and a bass.......he likes the bass better....he thinks it will be easier.....ha.

Underrated song .. fantastic. Especially loved the Schenker Raymond symbo ❤️
Michael in Top Form ..gandios 👍
Fantastic playing from Michael UFO from the 70,s rules
I agree Magnus, what a joy it was for me as a teenager driving around and cranking up that Lights Out album. Good times.
Saw him on with UFO twice at the Music Hall both times back in the 70's, in Houston, always been one of my favorite guitarists 2:52 2:54
Did you see that famous Rush/UFO tour?
Great video.
I completely forgot about UFO. Adding to my playlist. Thanks
Come on man!give me 20.😂😂
Love when he hits the pinch harmonics - sounds so natural like at 1:40
awesome footage Shawn!
sounds great too, Michael didn't miss a note.
Yeah, I only shot Michael and I was right in front of his rig as to get more Marshall and less P.A.
Micch😊😊🎉
Great video
Thanks.
Perfection
I was fortunate to get close and right in front of his Marshalls for great sound.
Man...I remember UFO fron Don Kirshner's, back in the day! I couldn't ever forget Michael's awesome talent!

My favourite line up was McAuley Schenker Group
I saw that tour in Santa Monica and when my band was part of the Hollywood scene I got invited to a party and hung out with Robin McAuley, cool guy.
@@ShawnStaplesFreeGuitarLessons I saw them in Tempe with Spinal Tap. HA! Sounds like a massively cool event to hang with them all. : )

So many great licks in this song! You going to do a lesson on this song Shawn?
I was thinking about it, thanks for mentioning it.
I also remember his bro Rudolph...from you know who!
Yep, those 2 go back and forth from fighting to being best buddies. I think they are fighting right now, LOL. Both great musicians.

That's V shaped, but not a V. lol
