“I’m kinda terrible at it” (looking at people suspiciously 👀). This tickled me. 😂 Me too, my friend. I just go along for the ride and am rarely right in those kinds of stories!
I actually prefer your wrap up videos to the TBR. I love hearing your thoughts after you've read the books so I have a better idea if I will enjoy them. Also, I like knowing if you found triggers, or concerns to be aware of.
I really enjoyed this video and your recommendations . Thank you for talking about books that are maybe not as known ! I added a few of them to my TBR ❤
So many books. To add. To my tbr. Aaaahhhh!!!!! 😂😍 I just got myself a Kindle for Christmas, it's only been a day since it arrived and I am already nearly 100 pages into a book!! That's faster than I have ever read! 😮 I'm so glad I got one, I'm hoping to read a lot of books on it! 😊
You have really changed my reading life lol! I am now completely obsessed with Kate Stradling. I have finished read three of her books within 24 hours each. I completely devoured them. I was never really a fantasy reader, and this has definitely changed now. Still not a huge fan of magic systems, and that is why The Heir and the Spare is definitely my favorite book closely followed by The Legendary Inge. Thank you for your work here. I am so grateful that I found your channel a couple years ago. My reading has really expanded, and I have been really encouraged to read more. I just finished A Voice in the Wind (book 1 of the Mark of the Lion series) by Francine Rivers. It was such a beautiful story and had me crying.
If you enjoyed The Heir and the Spare I think you'll enjoy Heart of Red, Blood of Blue! Not that they are overly similar based on plot, but they feel similar, if that makes any sense.
The Light Between Worlds also made my top favorite books for 2024! Glad you enjoyed it. The Forgotten Book is on my list of books to read this year. I previously read The Book Jumper by that author and remember really enjoying it.
So happy to see The Forgotten Book made it onto your top books list! The Light Between Worlds sounds really good too! I've always thought about what life had to be like for the Pevensie children after returning from Narnia, and that sounds like a very similar story so I'll have to see if I can find a copy of it. I also think Sleeping Murder is going to have to be my next Miss Marple now!
I’ll read the Mrs. Pollifax series as I find them at the thrift stores, libraries or sales. I’ve enjoyed the couple that I’ve read. I’m reading all the Miss Marple in 2025. Really looking forward to it.
Mrs. Pollifax is a fun one to find at thrift stores! Lately I just keep coming across copies of the ones I already own and still have a few gaps to fill.
I definitely want to hear more about your Kobo. I have been considering one for a while. I want to try and wean off relying on amazon so much and was on the fence with the new kindle paperwhite and the kobo but am leaning towards the kobo. Im in the states so most people i know have a kindle and dont know much about kobo's.
I've enjoyed several of these and plan on reading several more this year. The Clouds Ye So Much Dread ended up being my favorite book of the year. Volition by Chautona Havig and Kingdom of Ruins by D C Marino were close seconds
Have you read Agatha Christie's Five Little Pigs? What you were describing about Electra's backstory in One Final Turn sounds kind of like the mystery in that one. I'll add the Electra series to my TBR.
I read it many years ago! At this point I can't remember much but I do remember it was one I didn't really enjoy because the mystery was more historical and not in the moment. But my reading tastes have changed since then, I'll definitely have to re-read it at some point.
@ChantelReadsAllDay Yes, I don't remember if the book was a fave, but I do count the Poirot TV episode as a fave, maybe because I really liked the actors in that one and they brought the story from 20 yrs ago to life.
I read Heart of Red on your recommendation and loved every second if it. With that said, who do you get your recommendations from? I dont read the smut that seems to be the most recommended, so i find it hard to find channels with relatable recommendations.
I love how your favorites from this past year are so different and uniquely you!
I’m currently reading The Heir and the Spare right now because of your recommendation. I am early on, but so far I’m intrigued. 😊
Yay!
The Light Between Worlds was my favorite read of 2024! Your recommendations are always spot on.
Yay, I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
“I’m kinda terrible at it” (looking at people suspiciously 👀). This tickled me. 😂 Me too, my friend. I just go along for the ride and am rarely right in those kinds of stories!
Lol, glad I'm not the only one!

Fair enough, I'll definitely be covering all the books I read in my bi- monthly wrap ups!
The Lost Bookshop by Evil Woods was my favorite book of 2024. A story about a bookshop might be one you would enjoy.💜🇱🇷
I usually enjoy books about bookshops, I'll have to check that one out, thanks!
Jessica R. Patch is at the top of my list to try, I think I would really enjoy her books.
I really enjoyed this video and your recommendations . Thank you for talking about books that are maybe not as known ! I added a few of them to my TBR ❤
Yay, I'm so glad you found some new titles to add to your TBR, I hope you enjoy them!

Wahoo! I love that you found that you can read faster with your Kindle!
I have really enjoyed the Ashley Weaver series! Looking forward to the next/last installment. 😊
Yay, I hope you enjoy how it wraps up!
oh no I love having the wrap up each month!
Sorry!

I read it just after and it was beautiful!!
The Light Between Worlds also made my top favorite books for 2024! Glad you enjoyed it.
The Forgotten Book is on my list of books to read this year. I previously read The Book Jumper by that author and remember really enjoying it.
I still need to read The Book Jumper, glad to hear you enjoyed it!
I have recently fallen in love with a very thin line pen! I like your plan for the bi-monthly wrap-up in order to still have lots of other content.
😊

Thank you for another great list!!! 🥰

I can't wait to share what I all love about it!
I think I'm the only one who hasn't read Heart of Red Blood of Blue. I need to get on that!
Haha, that's how I felt!
You have me interested in the Heir and the Spare!
I _think_ you would like it, but I can't usually guess which ones you'll like.
@ haha, right? I can’t either 🤦🏼♀️🫣😂
I LOVED Heart of Red Blood of Blue! ❤
It's so good!
Agree!
Heart of red blue of blood 🥳
Walled City and also Ashley Weaver’s series are on the priority list for 2025. Hope I love them too!
Oh yes, I hope you do!
I just added mort of these to my TBR
I'm putting The Walled City on hold! I love Ryan Graudin too.
So glad you loved Speak! I read it in one or two days and absolutely couldn't put it down. Incredible book.
I hope you enjoy The Walled City!
I've enjoyed several of these and plan on reading several more this year. The Clouds Ye So Much Dread ended up being my favorite book of the year. Volition by Chautona Havig and Kingdom of Ruins by D C Marino were close seconds
I love that you have picked out your top three!

Yay! 😊

I don't get my recs from any one person, it's a little bit here and there and lots of research!
I really enjoyed Deathmark. I agree about the cover though, it could be better.
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
❤

Sometimes UA-cam seems to eat comments, not sure where they go!
