AGS has basically pissed all over the people who now apparently have been beta testing the game for console players and for their next game.

Honestly, I don't think there is going to be huge amount of console players who will be drawn to New World(: Aeternum) even if they don't read or check UA-cam about it. This is because most of the console gamers who would be drawn to it most likely have a PC and have tried New World on PC. I believe there is an overlap on these, regarding genres. The people who play games only on consoles aren't likely to play New World. I stand by this hypothesis until they prove me wrong.
I will never play something made by Amazon again. Already uninstalled new world and I'm never coming back. Lord of the Rings will be another joke, another miss managed game from Amazon and I won't be part of it. I feel like an idiot waiting for this announcement for so long...
As a BDO console player, all I can say is I'm sorry for your loss. If its anything like BDO it will be two entirely seperate products, with staggering releases. PC will always be ahead and Console will always be an afterthought. This leads to both playerbases suffering. It will also mean PC version will be constrained by the restrictions of the consoles NW is released on
I dont think you guys were necessarily playing an "early access" but I do think they took a ton of resources away from ongoing development to focus on releasing a console version. It may mean they will finally be able to shift their focus back to PC but you would have thought if they intended to release on consoles they would have started out with cross platform to begin with.
AGS isn't an indie studio so all I can guess is they never intended to release on console, but their PC playerbase was so small that they determined they needed to shift resources to bring in players that way.
Instead of working on improving the game and bringing back laods of players (Like FFXIV ARE) they decided to just release on console and hope that fixes things

If Lord of the Rings is made by this same team, I will avoid this game, even though I really like the LotR franchise. I can't trust these guys anymore.

very well said, such a sad time for us all but made some amazing friends now called family, had some amazing times in NW. So sad what they have done to this once amazing game.

The original team on NW created a combat system that was so good, but this team didn't understand it. They don't get how good their combat system is, and ignored it as the foundation of all content. They clearly don't love gaming,not really, they obviously don't love NW. They migh thinks it's cool or something, but the core of it, the combat system, they don't love it like we do
They made my decision between going hard on tarisland and keep playing new world easy at least
We don't even need entirely new pvp modes, just cross-server Arena, OPR raid queue and custom wars.

I'm not sure how they expect Lord of the Rings fans and players of Lotro to be optimistic about their attempt at making a Lord of the Rings MMO given their track record with New World.
They are oblivious to what gamers expect and want from something they decide to spend time and money on.

After season 1 leaderboard done with it, remember when kept messing deadline on leaderboard? Weeks went on disrespectful of the devs.
I see this event horizon for all new players where, they cap out all weapons to 20, and theyre like now what. I wanted like 3 new weapons EVERY YEAR and i wouldnt care how bad its been, the one thing they needed to do they didnt. THEY ARE LAZY. GET TO WORK MAKING WEAPONS AND CONTENT, FIX WORTHLESS UI AND SCREWY AUCTION FRAME AND YOULL BE FINE.
This being said. I was NOT willing to stick around enshrouded when i realized it was a single player game like NW. I AM willing to stick around NW, it has the best farming and crafting and best mmo combat by far. Dont know when single player mmorpgs became okay but i believe it was this week. You wont like this! I dont like this!... but i BET they get away with it, cuz well, they DO have the best graphics, combat, farming, and gameplay. The poor console children need another MMORPG THAT IS JUST FACT! THeyve been stuck on 14 and ESO forever! I have some sympathy to them, for this! I was one of them! GIVE THEM SOMETHING NEW I BELIEVE IN YOU AGS. SAME THEM FROM 20 YEARS AGO >.>
This is an example of when a triple anus company IS NOT griftonomics, their game is ACTUALLY playable and fun and id be truly sad to see it go. So many other companies just dont have a real game they live on HYPE THIS IS A REAL GAME AND IT SHOULD SURVIVE. It has meat at its core so many of these are empty. Ill use another example. It doesnt MATTER what epic does to Fortnite I will play it til it dies cuz at its core its still an amazing mmo-like action rpg shooter like new world. They screw up zero build more every season, JUST LIKE AGS AND NW! BUT IT DOESNT MATTER THE GAME IS FUN AT ITS TRUE CORE ITS GOT MEAT WE SMOKE THE MEAT LIKE ZUCC AND WE LOVE IT. NW IS THE SAME. STOP BITCHING.
