Hey, for legal reasons, it makes sense. I watched an older lady fall in zero degree weather outside of my gas station a few years ago. I was only allowed to give her coats and a fire blanket for warmth, as the operator instructed me not to move or touch her.
It makes sense because you aren't able to know if the person who fell down has damaged their spine, in which case moving them would make it worse. Especially with an older person, they could luxate their hip. If unsure, always call an ambulance or a first aid responder

Are there no Good Samaritan laws around you? They’re not absolute and I’m sure you can go far enough that they won’t protect you, but they’re there exactly for that: to protect people from the potential legal repercussions of helping an injured person that could end up later trying to sue you. It makes perfect sense, it’s so people aren’t sitting there while someone is dying trying to consider if they should help because they might get sued. You shouldn’t leave someone in pain or dying just because of that. Ik it’s especially relevant with CPR. (And yea, I get that they could sometimes make things worse, it really depends on how far they try to go in medically helping them).

if she is claiming extreme pain from the fall then yeah, dont make it worse. if she just needs a hand , say f u boss
