George only knows Marty as a good friend, not knowing what he's done, but Marty understands perfectly; his future family existence is secured. All in all, a beautiful scene from one of the greatest sci-fi films of the 80s.
My only minor complaint about this scene is where Marty uses what he thought might be his last breath to call for “George” to kiss his mom. It would seem more likely that if he really thought this might be it, he’d call out for “Dad” to kiss his mom. Still gives me chills nonetheless.

Gurdev Suwali so your saying we all need to go back in time, mess up the future, and have the future fixed but have it dangle on the edge of risk, and fix it at a dance with our parents?

Born in 1999. I'm 18 now and I've been enjoying this movie for almost my entire life! My parents generation had this fresh, but regardless of age, this movie is a TIMELESS CLASSIC that one day it'll be the next Wizard Of Oz in terms of legacy!
Reminds me of the first time my wife (of 27 years) and I kissed, July of 1988. Always chokes me up, the moment you fall in love with that perfect partner.... awww....
The timing of everything in these scene is just phenomenal but what makes this scene the best movie scene in cinema history is that godamn wave that hits so hard! George grew some balls inadvertly changing his life but saving Marty's aswell while not even knowing the power of his actions! He didn't do it for any reason other than pure love and love is that one thing, that one emotion that can change anything! That wave for me is a sign of a man who is simply in love and thanking a guy who helped push him in that direction! It works on so many lvls it is insane how a story so simple can be executed in such an emotionally deep detailed thoughtful way! Bravo🧡
To me, there is not a bad scene in this movie, this one included! Still very touching even after all these years! I've loved it since I was young and is in my top 5 all time favorite movies!
I love the little easter egg in this song, which is that the original version of the song sings, 'love you all the time', but just as fate is sealed, once again, the lyrics got changed to, 'love you for all time'. I quite like that little twist!
A rare slice of cinema perfection. ;) Just a great use of music as Silvestri's theme mixed with the Starlighters... and nice work from Fox, Waters Jr, Thompson and Glover. Talk about predestined romance(!)
Marty nearly fading away to then seeing his parents kiss and he and his siblings return to existence puts one of the biggest smiles on my face every time I watch this scene.

1:07 His laughing is so random in that it makes it even more hysterical because in context it makes no real sense outside of him playing to us the audience and he is really selling it . LOL makes me laugh all the time.
ikr💀💀💀 he sounds like a nerdy supervillain
Someone spiked the punch lol
Was watching a reaction video to the movie and when redhead guy cuts in the reactors were like “Who the fuck is THIS Guy!?!?
Ever timr he recovers and stands up, it gets me in the feels.
I always love how marty jumps up back into existence and I love how his dad waves to him ❤❤❤
1:46 goosebumps every fcking time.
ablazedark I love how Marty gets the life shot back into him and jumps up, and Marvin looks over at him and sings “please be miiine”
you're right on! Always get shivers at that part of such a moving scene
And the piano player's face when he jumps :D
more like tears
ablazedark every time watch this scene I find this comment so I can skip to that part constantly 😂
Love when they kiss and he gets back up on his feet, something that we all need sometime.
Gurdev Suwali YES
Gurdev Suwali so your saying we all need to go back in time, mess up the future, and have the future fixed but have it dangle on the edge of risk, and fix it at a dance with our parents?
Who's watching this in 1955?
SCE2AUX2 I'm stuck in the year 1885
SCE2AUX2 me.
Not me because the internet didn't exist lol
me
SCE2AUX2 me
In my opinion this has got to be one of the most memorable scenes in Cinema!
I love when they bring the song back in with a string section underneath,so powerful
Love when Marvins like "unless you know somebody else who can play the guitar..." and it cuts right to Marty
The look on Marvin's face is priceless
YourLockerzPal also Marvin’s face after he notices Marty can actually play well, he’s like “Hm. Not bad.”
Marty McFly yeah but then you start fucking up and the singer was noticing.
Ryan1980 Yeah LoL he gives him that disgusted look like “what the hell?”
I love the part where they kiss and he rises up. I keep on going back to it all the time 😂
Suzzyxx8 s me too!
It’s the resolve, this scene was BEAUTIFULLY set up
Same
Damm i am from small village in third world country and i do the same thing u said. We are not that different. Wow!!!
But the message here is also that we have to fight for love. People will try to cut in and take it away. When u stand up to bully. Thats when we truly live.
One of the best movie scenes of all time. Our ancestors will watch this.
Andrew Spice u mean descendants....
Or maybe ancestors because of...TIME TRAVEL?!?!?!??!!!!
*descendants
Andrew Spice
With your current President there will be no ancestors, all things considered.
I agree no matter what era or time this will be in this movie will still remain a classic
greatest film in history. every single thing about it is perfect
This is honestly one of the best and well made movies of all time
Agreed
Born in 1999. I'm 18 now and I've been enjoying this movie for almost my entire life! My parents generation had this fresh, but regardless of age, this movie is a TIMELESS CLASSIC that one day it'll be the next Wizard Of Oz in terms of legacy!
Almost exact same situation here, except I was born in '98.
I'm 95 and I feel the same way.
Sickstories we're born in the same year and I also enjoy this movie as much as you are!!
Sickstories born in 98. This movie is timeless, I’ll definitely show my kids
The moment you fall in love forever....a very touching scene.
Whenever I see the scene with this wonderful song, I always get teary-eyed on how romantic it is! #SlowJams
(Comfort hug)
Reminds me of the first time my wife (of 27 years) and I kissed, July of 1988. Always chokes me up, the moment you fall in love with that perfect partner.... awww....
Mike Slomski Awww That's cute.
I'm a grown man that crys to this everytime . it's beautiful best seen in cinematic history
we're in 2019. July. I still cry at 1:44. I remember the clapping and cheering of the audiences every time i saw this in theaters in 1985.
Wow. How much I envy you. I was born way after this film so there was no way I could watch it in theaters.
Wrong! We are in 2022 now!
Bravo🧡
Best movie of all time
Anthony Paule Tru
What a combo
This and Terminator 2 are my favorites
Marcos Imperial They should make "Terminator vs. Marty McFly"
Anthony Paule there's several "best movies of all time" and i agree.
I like how George waves at Marty on stage. He’s like thanking him for making it all happen
Maybe im getting old, because this scene makes me cry like a little boy now.... Is so beautiful!
yes, this is one of the GREATEST sequences in film history
Michael J Fox will always be one of my favourite people ever. Outside of acting, he's accomplished so much.
Dear future wife, if you can see this, we will be dancing to this at our wedding as our first dance
This is an idea for sure! May I copy you? Or I have to marry you? :P
Go ahead and copy me. I doubt my future wife is seeing this now and no thank you. I'm too young to be married now.
I'd like to dance with my future wife to this too... I'm a step closer since I have a girlfriend. ^_^
TayoEXE Good for you man... (No sarcasm)
Datman N I’ll have this song playing when I get engaged 💍
Crispin Glover is so handsome in this movie, I had the biggest crush on him when I was a kid. 😊
I prefer Calvin Klein.
It’s amazing no matter how many times this is watched there are chills and goosebumps
A rare slice of cinema perfection. ;)
Just a great use of music as Silvestri's theme mixed with the Starlighters... and nice work from Fox, Waters Jr, Thompson and Glover. Talk about predestined romance(!)
Agreed. For me, the BTTF theme swelling up right before the kiss and then switching back to Earth Angel is nothing short of pure genius. @ 1:34
I’ve watched this 20 times over and it still gives me goosebumps
I was born in 1985.......no wonder it’s one of my favorite movies. A true pop culture phenomenon!
Marty nearly fading away to then seeing his parents kiss and he and his siblings return to existence puts one of the biggest smiles on my face every time I watch this scene.
this song, earth angel, is one of my favourites from the whole movie, and this scene is also my favourite, lorraines dress is so beautiful, her hair is gorgeous and that kiss is the best kiss of all cinema
The chills, when they kiss and the music plays 😍😍😍
This has to be the most perfect kiss in movie history. Passionate and powerful without being over the top. Was shot beautifully.
This version of the song is always gonna be the best because it's the first version I heard I guess and the tremendous feeling and emotion from the movie mixed made it a burnable memory in my brain of classic music
From the moment before the kiss to the wave- hits me the same way today as it did whenever I first saw this as a kid. I may have seen this movie more than any other.
Marty hitting the strings as he recuperates is one of the best transition edits in cinema history 🎸
Not only one of my favourite scenes in one of my favourite movies, but I think it's one of the most uplifting and feel good scenes ever!
Marty never thought at that table that her mom's boring Enchantment Under The Sea was going to be such a thing
The way that chorus comes in , with that string section..... It makes me cry
Few moments in cinema history capture perfection like this one does.
I just love the little touches, like the way the photo lights back up, IN ORDER, to the beats of the music. FLAWLESS.
Violins at 1:52 - Awwww so nice. Tears me up every time!
+RAG1060 Yes!
goosebumps everytime
Pat Mongan yes!!
Totally in sync with the siblings appearing back
RAG1060 Same here
I was born in 1999, but my parents were teens during the 80s, and I've been watching this movie for my whole life. I remember watching it on tube TVs and projectors during the early 2000s. Easily one of if not my favorite movie of all time! I'm 19 now and I still love it and plan on showing it to my future children one day! I hope the next generation is being shown this film still
Finally, at 44 years of age.. I've had this type of kiss.. and I fell in absolute LOVE 💕
I was, literally, working day and night in the summer of 1985. Friend talked about seeing this movie and how great it was. By the time my situation worked out, it was too late to see on big screen. Would've loved to have seen it with crowd for scenes just like this.
A scene I still cry a bit watch. Love how they get together again. It wasn't automatic after Biff. George HAD to prove his love 2x and loved that he thanked his SON (unknown to him) for bringing them together ❤️.
1:20 Doc, I don't feel so good...
Oddly enough, the composer for the Back to the Future movies, Alan Silvestri is the same man who composed the Avengers movies (except AoU)
@OOFER GANG Alan Silvestri has usually done music for movies directed by Robert Zemeckis (but Joss Whedon directed The Avengers).
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Also, Tom Holland based his Spidey performance off Marty McFly.
@@bruhmomento6691 Wait, he's that old? Never mind. He is.
I want to walk into a random high school where nobody knows me, and pick out a random guy, and a random girl, and just try so hard to get the guy to go out with her, and every time he screws up, I'll act really weak
good luck getting in lol
Max the mind
that's a good point...
I'll wear a shirt that says "not a terrorist" to assure them. lol
Jordan73101 lol
😄💗🌹
Jordan73101 that’s hilarious
The way the music surges when he kisses her. *chills*
I watched the musical and it stayed true to the film it was one of my favourite scenes 😍😍😍
One of the greatest scenes in movie history
