Miku Hatsune is Japanese for " Tune of the Future". The girl on the video is the Mascot you can say although he often wears a skirt with 2 ponytails and tie as you can see on the right side of the screen. She is similar to the game Guitar hero you can say.
Hatsune Miku (the girl depicted) is basically a voice-set for Vocaloid. Vocaloid is a singing synthesizer, basic voices and pronunciations are recorded and made into voice-sets, that can be later used on and tweaked for all kind of music. So Miku is technically a singer that does not exist. In concerts they use projectors to set her up on stage. Her voice is used by a lot of musicians. So Miku technically doesn't have an own style of music.
I have listened to this song countless times, and I think I've discovered all of the different sounds in this song... I've memorized every beat, every synthesized sound, and all of the little things that make this song amazing. I will lie in bed listening to it with my eyes shut and my ears and mind focused solely on this song. I suggest the same for all of you, get the best headphones you can and focus on this song, when you do it's really breathtaking, the art and how many sounds there are.
