    i went to my first nursery today! i got my first chinese elm along with some pots for some of my pre-existing bonsai!

      @@tacocheif429 nice! Chinese Elm are great because they grow super fast and you can take cuttings from them super easy.

    Seen it sometimes for sale but quite rare here in Sweden and maybe it because it not good for having as houseplant? Be nice to see what you going to do with it 😀

      Thanks! I haven't really figured them out yet. The few I've had died within 6 months or so. But then this cutting has lasted 2+ years and I've barely looked at it!? Maybe that's the key

    I've not grown this species yet. Ive been looking for a dwarf caltivar.

      @@jameswalker3416 I found one randomly at Albertsons about 7 years ago. But found the one(s) this came from at Franz Witte a couple years ago. They had those big ones for like $30 each!

    I had two Podocarpus plants for almost a year and then they just started dying and I couldn't keep the aphids off of them and sprained them everyday would have killed them eventually anyway so I have two more cuttings and we'll see how they do haven't had a problem with Aphids this time

      I don't know if that's what got mine or not? I don't recall seeing any aphids on them but who knows.
