After running the 4K benchmarks I couldn't NOT try 8K, so I set Nvidia DSR up to run at 8K, and tried out a bunch of different games.

Thanks for the video, Sean! It was very cool seeing so many games running at 8K without issue. I think at 8K rendering games will just look incredibly clean, with very little aliasing. The only aliasing that would be there would be subpixel aliasing, and other motion related things (or stuff like really low res shadow maps).

Thanks! The older A1000G was in a good spot on the PSU tier list, and it says they use all Japanese capacitors so it should be a pretty good one. The PCIE5 cable will make cable management way easier compared to the 4x 8pin cables, too. But yeah, mine has still been doing well so far and hasn’t done anything wonky yet 👍
I just came out of watching Bryan build a PC for $300 and here I am on a GPU that MSRPs for $1600.
That’s the cool thing about PC gaming, there’s something for everyone - from budget builds that get the best price to performance all the way to high end custom watercooled rigs.
Lot of games run on consoles under 30fps with maybe scaled 4k, imagine 8k, close to 60, dan. Also, gaming oc is what I can get and afford in my region, thanks, great vids.

quick question, did you two DP connect with 4090? I've did two DP cable connected with 4090, but can't power on. The matherboard shows LOAD VGA BIOS. I must disconnect one DP, only one DP connect with 4090 can logon system.

30 FPS is more than enough for me as a Switch player at 720P...PC gamers are very different species
it shouldnt look the same, 8K DSR looks better than native 4k on my 42" C2, maybe on a smaller monitor its harder to notice.
its should be easier to notice due to the excess of pixels being use to sharpen the image
How do you enable 8k DSR?
8k is overrated. 4k all day yeah! good for a tech demo for future I guess.
You need to be consistent between tests. This was honestly terrible.
How so? I was seeing how playable games are at 8K, if you just want to watch GPU benchmarks there are plenty of other videos about the 4090 out there.
@@TechWithSean If you want to answer the question of Can a game run at 8k? Sure, any game can run at 8k with all settings slammed to lowest. You don't get to pick and choose what settings you turn on before you call a game playable, that isn't reproducible.
That's the point,no 8k monitor 🤦
