Fact: In April 1987 when 'Married with Children' first aired on the FOX TV network, critics everywhere where shocked by the Bundy family's viciousness as well as the show's obsession with the topic of sex. But audiences (after a slow start) awarded the series with high ratings and it ran for 11 seasons over ten years until 1997.
also the show still holds up. some references are out dated but the show as a whole is still freaking funny
I love Al Bundy and I’m a woman. People these days are too sensitive. I miss those shows. Oh Jenny Craig is a weight lost program.
This show, "Married with Children", was one of the 1st shows that ran
on the FOX Network when FOX was just starting out ... it was so
popular, it won multiple Emmy awards and was in the Top 10 ratings for
the 11yrs it was on TV, it shot FOX Network to one of the TOP New
networks in the late 80's. Unfortunately, in today's "SNOWFLAKE"
society, (as Clint Eastwood calls it), everyone is too serious and
offended about EVERYTHING for a show like this to be on Now.
People get to easily offended now days.

Know know what true woke is? You are watching it. Not only the creators of this show was a white man and a black man, but most of the script writers were female. Marcy is a lesbian in real life. She played a big role in the show behind the scenes.
But the big difference is she wasnt a hom. in the series promoting something very wrong (if it would be normal nature wouldnt exist, its not good nor beneficial for nature), so what she did in her private life is not my business as long she isnt promoting it like its today with "MODERN Family" or "MODERN Audiences".
"MODERN Family" promoting 2 men having a child (should never be allowed, a child always needs a mother and father figure in life. Because of their selfishness that child wont have a real mother in life and thats great ?). Then of course the wife is the boss and the father in that show is a moron even his kids are making fun of ...

Al Bundy, the hero from my childhood. He is relentless with fat, chicken and feminist jokes. Indeed many of them require knowledge of pop culture of the time and location, but it's well worth figuring out. Priceless.
