DANGEROUS TREE ~ MAKING OUR HOME SAFE

  • Recent high wind storms have wreaked havoc on our old Maple tree out front of our home, losing TWO huge limbs recently. We couldn't risk another fall, so have called on #4 son, Dominic, to the rescue:)
    Join me for Truelove Family stories (which I have many, as a mother of 10 kids), Mothering Autism, with our Maxwell on our many fun car rides, and Free quilting class and sewing lessons! And as in a 'classroom' setting, my tutorials are approximately 1/2 hour+ long....So Join me in my home sewing room, out and about and trying to make all sorts of quilted goodies! Be aware ~ I like to chat and probably repeat myself over and over, (and stutter sometimes), and if this annoys you, then view elsewhere - but, if patient, you hopefully will learn a new method or technique and get an insight into a very large family and their crazy fun:)
    And as always: Love From The Trueloves;)

    Hi Jean! You are truly blessed, ps. 127 vs 3 tells us that children are a blessing from God!
    You and Ian have obviously done an exemplary job raising your children!
    Enjoy your family!

    Tree cutting is scary to me! I think it takes a lot of bravery to attempt it. I enjoy seeing family members working together! Thanks!

      Oh I know. I was so sad to see it being cut down, but our safety and that of others is priority over the tree.

    Sorry for the loss of the greenery but the retention of the tree is fantastic news. I pray that it provides safe shade in the future.

    Dear Jean, such a shame about the tree but your safety comes first, the tree will grow back but you wouldn’t. Good job well done by the boys. Love to the Trueloves 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

    We also learned the power company will only cut the branches hanging over their lines. Sometimes, they trim a hole around them. Your sons are very handy to have around.

    HI Jean & guys! I literally laughed out loud at the "Maxwell in his tree cutting outfit" 🤣🤣 While I LOVE your house, the one across the street is gorgeous as well! And your side road looks so peaceful 😊😊 You'll get used to the no shade part just knowing you have peace of mind.

    Great job. Hard work. It will pay off. I understand how you feel about losing the nice shade on the house. Of course, it is better to be safe. Perhaps put a nice stencil on the sewing room window of have the grandkids paint something using stained glass paint. (Kids - paint -fabric = Abort, abort!) lol. Love to the Trueloves.

    Oh my! That poor tree is just a skeleton of its formal self. But I guess it must have been necessary. I’m still not sure what the danger was (because the large branch that was not cut is hanging over communication lines. And you said that the power lines are much higher. So was it a matter of the tree possibly falling on the house?

    • @jeantruelovetruelovequiltsfory
      @jeantruelovetruelovequiltsfory  Місяць тому

      Yes, the two huge limbs that broke off recently in two separate wind storms just nearly hit our porch. The remaining one would most certainly hit it, so off it goes. It is too dangerous for us to try and get the limb over the cable lines. There is no chance of that falling and hitting our home, just landing in the yard.

    Your men are definitely not wimpy guys! Great job on a tough tree. I was curious about the house across the street. It's quaint like your's. Is it old also?

    • @jeantruelovetruelovequiltsfory
      @jeantruelovetruelovequiltsfory  Місяць тому +1

      Thanks 👍 The house across the street is a bit older than our home. Ours is an American Four Square built in 1910. The one across the street is what is known as Second Empire/Mansard Style built around 1885

    • @jeantruelovetruelovequiltsfory
      @jeantruelovetruelovequiltsfory  Місяць тому +1

      We asked the same!!! And 'someone' came when we weren't home, left a note on the door, saying they weren't responsible. But on the phone (when Ian called several times, not realizing the power cables were up higher) they didn't say a thing!!!
