😂😂😂 Jean you certainly know how to make someone smile “ Am I puffy, do I look fat, well it doesn’t matter you guys love me “ love the way you can make viewers smile, and yes love you for all that you are. Wishes you lot of restful nighttime sleeps, bountiful supply to energy and non-existing cough. Thanks for caring and sharing, again wishing you well. 👍❤️🙂
Jean, it's always so good to see your beautiful face. I got COVID at the end of June, and am still coughing as well. My doctor said this summer strain has a cough that lasts around three months. I hope you are feeling better soon. Can't wait to see you standing next to your beautiful quilts. Splitting up the show over two days is a fantastic idea. Take care and get lots of rest.
Jean, make-up or not, your inner beauty always shines through. I am looking forward to future videos, but continue to watch and rewatch your videos from the past
Dear, dear Jean. You truly are a gem! I'm sorry you are still struggling with this wretched illness. I've loved that you still gave us a video update with such cheerfulness and courage. I hope you gain more strength by the time you go to the Quilt Show. Blessings to you and your family!!
Jean you are a beautiful person inside and out! I wish I could look that good and I’m in good health 😆. Wishing you well, bless you, you always have a lovely smile and you lift my spirits. You have such a beautiful family. Love watching your videos, take care and hope you enjoy the quilt show 😊
Hi, Jean! Instead of a wheelchair, a rollator might be a solution. It's a walker with a seat, so when you tire of walking, you can sit. I use one when I have to walk a distance, God bless you and your family!!!!!
We are happy to see you, Jean. Praying for you & your family. Please don’t think that you have to wear makeup for us. As long as you are feeling better little by little. We are still wearing masks when we go out where we will be near others. Covid & flu are out there. Rest & take care. 💕🧵
I have been to that quilt show a few years ago. It's huge & wonderful! I strongly suggest that you borrow a wheelchair or transport chair so you can see as much as possible. Sending prayers for your complete recovery.
Im happy to hear that you decided to go to the show. I think a wheelchair is a great idea. Please don’t look at it that have to be an invalid to use one. Wish you all the best! ❤️
This might help, get a rollator ( 4 wheel walker with a seat!!) that way if you need to sit to recoup, you have a built in seat... please remember to lock the brakes!! It might give you the extra umph to continue your walks outside too. I have had back surgery, and I used one. It's a great tool
Hi Jean! I'm sorry you're still I'll. You are just a natural beauty! You don't need any makeup. I had long Covid last year. I'm 69 and suffer with asthma and Copd. I could hardly walk from one room to another I was so weak. I pray you recover completely with no lingering side effects so that you can enjoy the quilt show and your beautiful family.
Hi Jean!! I was thrilled to hear my comment read 😊😊 And you look great without makeup, too! I laughed when you said, "I like my children"!!! Don't feel bad about maybe using a wheelchair for the show. If it helps you enjoy the day better-do so. I see many comments about getting a walker with a seat. That might be an idea as well. Then you'll have one if ever the need arises for anyone else to need it. I can't wait to see pics & maybe a video of the quilt show! Enjoy yourselves 😊😊
Good to see you, no you aren’t showing signs of the round face attributed to steroids. You indeed are Blessed with a lovely family, continued prayers for your full recovery to good health .
Jean, please consider a wheelchair. It will just be so much better for you. Ian, Maxwell and even Jen won’t mind pushing you around I’m sure. Pleas take care and get well.
It's so nice to see you, thanks for a quick update. So many people it seems going through this, you hear it, but I dont think we understand it until someone we know ( you ) kind of explains it. Including comments is interesting to know and sounds so so awful Jean. If anyone can beat this you can! We'll be here whatever the future holds my friend. Hugs from Yorkshire 😊
Dear Jean, what a lovely surprise to see your video this morning. Nice to see you laughing. Remember that beauty comes from within and you are blessed with lots of it. Please enjoy the quilt show. We will be travelling to the US next week but unfortunately not near Oaks so I won’t get to say Hello. I will not be taking my iPad so I will have to wait until my return to catch up with you. Stay safe, love to the Trueloves 🏴
Consider renting a riding scooter. They are usually available to rent. I have MS and can't walk very far or very long but I LOVE a quilt show. Good luck!
My husband Ian!!! has to use an inhaler for his pulmonary fibrosis and for the first few months he suffered from coughing fits and a really sore throat until he saw a specialist nurse who explained that he should be using a "spacer" like the one they give little ones who have asthma. This stops the medication hitting the throat and helps it getting to the lungs where it can do some good. It made a huge difference. As others have said small steps and go with what your body is telling you. Continues prayers from Wales for all your family Blessings, Fran
I did get one of those spacers. It helps thanks!! I'm only taking a puff now and then when I get winded. Don't want to be using it all the time. And I was told to wash out my mouth as it can be prone to getting thrush. Yuck. thanks so much:) Your prayers have helped:)
Your two quilts are just lovely! Don't hesitate to use a wheelchair. It will conserve your energy level. They have rollator chair with 4 wheels and a seat if you need to sit down.
Thanks for the sweet video, Jean. Just wanted to share that Prednisone is very addictive and if you've been on it for awhile, you will need to wean off slowly, and don't be surprised if you have severe joint pain for awhile once you've weaned off (ask me how I know). :(
I am happy that you are feeling better and I wish I could go to the Quilting show to meet you all. But I can't 😞 I want you to know I don't talk a lot and I have been praying for you and your doctor. Jehovah's help is better than anything else. I hope and pray your breathing will get better soon. Love you and your family 💖😊
You must be a great Mom, as your children are so loving and caring, and all successful in they're endeavors, and true in their faith. Congratulations on grandbaby #20. I promise, you will get better, in small steps and be able to enjoy your family. 🙏❤️🤗
I pray you do well at the show. We had a wheelchair for my mom. I took care of her for 9 1/2 years. I kept it and I’m glad I did. We use it for Heather who just turned 39 because of having chemotherapy in 2012. We also bought her a scooter for when we go to parks or shows. She doesn’t know where she’ll be without them. Hope you have a great time at the show.
Praying that you feel better each day! The fatigue is so hard. I am right there with you as I just had Covid, but I am still coughing and feeling so tired. Enjoy the quilt show, but don't overdo it. ❤
Hi Jean! I am really praying that your fatigue lifts soon. I know it’s a different scenario but I’ve been suffering with extreme fatigue for about three months now ever since I broke my foot and had to have surgery. I’m assuming it’s because my body is trying to heal the bones in my foot. So if I’m tired I go lie down and sleep as long as my body wants to. My fatigue is lifting thank goodness! I am praying the same for you❤️
Take good care of yourself. Looking forward to pictures of you and your quilts at the show. I know you and Jen will enjoy your time together. And by the way, you are so very lovely without makeup....you never need to apologize.
Hi Jean. I had scheduling issues so I went to the quilt show today instead of tomorrow. I saw both your lovely quilts. I will be interested in hearing how you and Jen feel about this year’s quilt show overall. I hope you are feeling better.
I think u should absolutely rent the scooter. I needed a hip replacement and chose to try one of those. It was actually fun. I can image you, Ian and Maxwell being silly together while using it
I have fibromyalgia and basically the symptoms of long COVID are the same if I’m going anywhere where I would be walking I uses electric scooter it’s made such a difference I can stay out for longer it’s a small one that isn’t too heavy so easy to get out the boot. Enjoy the quilt show and good luck with your quilts ❤
Oh Jean, I'm glad to hear that you'll be wearing a mask. In your state, your immune system is lowered and you could catch anything. Even a simple cold on top of your long Covid, it would be like having the worst case of mononucleosis. I had long Covid and it took about 9 months. When I was able to get outside and sit, I began to feel a little better. I tried sewing, and things I've done hundreds of times, I would get confused. So frustrating. I tried knitting. I got 3 bags full of wash clothes/dish clothes. Again, ohad some, I was so tired, I fell asleep with my needles in hand, mid-stitch 😅. I kept the strange dish clothes for myself, and sold the others. The fatigue is unbelievable. I feel so bad for you. You're always chatty, upbeat, and laughing. It breaks my heart to see you do worn down. Like you, used to being neck deep in children, we know tired. But this... it's like having 8 babies at the same time. The affects of this "respiratory" virus are so odd. One thing you could try is Vicks vaporub on you back and chest. It relaxes your muscles and bronchial tubes. If you do cough, it will be productive. You do want to cough occasionally, or you may get pneumonia. I know the smell, but if it helps you get a deeper breath, your body will heal faster. We need our sweet Jean back, with your beautiful smile, sparkling eyes, chatting, and laughing, and full of life. My prayers are with you. 🙏❤️🤗
Get the scooter! Everyone can use it and helps you as well💕💕 yep, I sleep??? like you do, can’t shut my brain off! Hubby on the other hand closes his eyes and sleeps…snores?
I am sorry you are still feeling poorly, It will be my first time at a quilt show My husband Lu will be driving us from north jersey Hope to see you there ! Please rest so you can enjoy the quilt show!!❤❤❤
My mom didn’t have covid, she passed in 2019 before it happened. But what I wanted to suggest is that we purchased a foldable wheelchair for her. It had all small wheels, not like the wheelchairs with big wheels. It was so helpful to be able to take her out when she had rough days and was not able to stand or walk long distances. The folding transport wheelchair was fairly inexpensive, lightweight and easy to take along in most cars. If she was up to it, she would put her purse in the seat and walk behind like a walker. Pushing it was easy and not a bother at all for family members.
Jean, in 2022 we got COVID. On day 9, I was rushed to the hospital with sepsis, and spent 8 days there. When my husband got it again, I was fearful as I watched him suffer. Of course, I got it, but my Lyme disease MD gave me Ivermectin. All I experienced was just being incredibly snotty (hope I didn't gross you out). I definitely want to keep Ivermectin on hand, you might want to, too. 🙏PS We hope to be at the quilt show Saturday.

I like your approach. I am trying the same. Have cancer diagnosis added to the mix .Weakness. fatigue. And sometimes I go into a fog to try to alleviate the pain and the fatality of my condition . But I must stay strong for my grandchildren. I am raising them and paying for everything they need. That makes me determined to get better. .
P.S. It’s Laura again. My dear brother has the same thing going on with his throat and voice. He isn’t on any inhaler. It comes and goes. Oy. Hi Jean! I have collapsed discs at my spine which causes me severe pain when I walk and as a result I can't walk very far. I get worse as the years go by. I am 68. I hate ! Hate! Hate! Using a cane, walker or wheelchair!!! Makes me feel so old and unattractive to my husband although he doesn't say anything like that and is very kind. He is also 8 years younger than me and I can't do so many things with him that we used to do. Anyway, what I wanted to tell you is don't feel ashamed because you need some help at the quilt show. You'd be surprised at how kind people are! I was thinking about something that may help you as it does assist me.... a walker with a seat! You can walk as far as you can and when you stop to look at a quilt you can sit down for a bit! You can even hang your purse on it or maybe have a place to put some goodies you buy! If you stop to speak with someone you can sit! Just remember you are so lucky that this is only temporary . Hope you feel better soon and you will get stronger as the days go by just don't push yourself to prove you can do it as us women usually do! LoL! Luv to the Truelove's Jeanie
Nice to see you Jean! You look great without make-up! But I know how you feel. Steroids are anti-inflammatory drugs of the first order, as in VERY STRONG. Your docbis trying to reduce the inflammation so your lungs can work better. The puffy face comes in folks who take steroids on an ongoing basis. It's called being "moon-faced". You are not in that situation. ❤ I love your smiling face and the stories and pics of your beautiful family. (Jean and Ian "done good"!)
Jean the wheel chair is a nuisance but I think a necessary one don’t wear yourself out even more and just wanted to say a retired nurse the blood sugar levels can rise when on steroids inhalers and or oral aldo the steroid inhalers can cause laryngitis l once had to change brands no voice 😅 11:06
PS Steroids can make people “puffy”. You do not look puffy at all by the way. But if you do start to look puffy don’t worry because as soon as you stop taking the steroids the puffiness goes away. It is not permanent👍🏼
😂😂😂 Jean you certainly know how to make someone smile “ Am I puffy, do I look fat, well it doesn’t matter you guys love me “ love the way you can make viewers smile, and yes love you for all that you are. I have one of those after I had hip replacements. It was so helpful!
Jean listen to your body, if you need a push in a wheelchair please do it. ❤Love & Blessings to Truelove's!! 😊
Jean , hope you start feeling better soon. Is that your special big bowl I can see on the shelf behind you?
Yes. I love my bowl❤️
You’re beautiful, makeup or non.🥰

Hi dearest Jean. You are beautiful in and out.makeup or not. Yes inhalers do make you loose your voice. It might help if you get a special mouth piece (from the chemist) to help you use the inhaler better as when you inhale directly from the inhaler it goes straight to your vocal cords. I don't know what it's called exactly but it's like a tube you attach to the inhaler and put it over your mouth.im sure the pharmacist will explain to you how to use it properly. Hope this will help you in some ways. Sending hugs and ❤
Maybe they have the electric wheelchairs you can rent. It would really help you.
I had a huge problems with the inhalers so got put on nebulizer treatments that really helped me!!
Some of the treatments were just saline nebulizer.
I was also put on 40mg pepcid, NAC supplement, Claritin, quercetin, black cumin seed oil....I was on that all for about 6 months and nearly completely recovered.
Combine the naturalpathic and the traditional medicine with a dose of common sense. See what works for you and for your lifestyle. I know it is hard to be patient.

I hope you don't overdo it. I was going to say borrow a wheelchair. That way you don't have to leave sooner than you would want to.
You should use a wheelchair too much walking. Prayers for all of you.
PS Steroids can make people “puffy”. You do not look puffy at all by the way. But if you do start to look puffy don’t worry because as soon as you stop taking the steroids the puffiness goes away. It is not permanent👍🏼
Steroids in the inhaler will affect your voice.
You better get a scooter. It is there for people that need it .
Rinse after using the inhaler.
