As prime-time's # 1 half-hour variety show for five years, The Ford Show featured all the ingredients of the top variety shows of the day; Hollywood's greatest guest stars, top-of-the-line production, and terrific music. But one simple element separated it from all others...Ernie closed virtually every show with a hymn, a spiritual or a song of faith. For the time, it was a bold and powerful statement for a popular entertainer of Ford's stature to be making on live television, especially in the face of the initial objections from Madison Avenue and the network. But it was a statement that would become the trademark of his career, and in many ways, the mark of his life. It would earn him the distinction of almost single-handedly bringing inspirational music into the mainstream of American entertainment...an enduring legacy of the lasting impact that one man's expression of faith can have on millions of people.

When TV had class and wasn’t afraid to show humility and thanks to God. How things have changed. Not for the better.
But they will change. He is coming back. Either he will come or alot of Hearts will turn. And as much as i would like to see my Lord early i would be just as happy seeing the people rejoice and this world to heal. And i see that minds are shifting. People get tired of what this world has become. We have seen what immorality gives us. I was a "progressive" assining all the diffrent labels you could give yourself because you have no personality. Fair to say i realized i have a choice. Either i submit to lust and become it's slave or i give my life to jesus and be free. And yes it is a daily fight. And yes it is hard but it is worth it.

Fun fact- NBC originally opposed Ernie singing a hymn to close his show. Ernie Ford insisted and was dead set on doing a hymn, so they let him. NBC’s fears were proven wrong because the people loved it. Ernie was a beacon of God’s light through that moment in his show.

He is a voice we still love and miss.
This was the Music we listen to when I was a little girl, Sunday Afternoon in South Africa was a program on the English Radio Station called "From the Bell Tower" I will always remeber that. My Dad left us 50years ago, my Mom 8yrs and two of my Brothers and both my Sisters have passed already. Only two of us is still alive but I will never forget those Sunday afternoons, I was such a small little girl.
