When Ray passed a couple weeks ago it hit me really really hard and I'm afraid I made it personal: when we were young, it was mine and my sister's favorite movie; we used to quote it at each other all the time. "Hmm, an aristocrat!" "To-DAY. To-DAY. To-DAY." "Get your shinebox!" Paid a little visit to her grave, got a sixer of Bud, and drank it all while re-watching this movie for the 100th time. RIP Ray Liotta. And A.W., too.
Much love to you and the memory of your sibling. When I or my sister dies, the other one is going to be the keeper of alllllll the quotes from Strange Brew.
Henry and Karen's daughters when they were little and going to the prison with Karen were Lorraine Bracco's real life daughters. One of them is Stella Keitel, whose father is Harvey Keitel. The prosecutor who was offering Henry and Karen the witness protection deal was the same prosecutor who offered that deal to Henry Hill in real life, playing himself in the movie.
He does that in casino too with Tommy's lawyer being the actual lawyer of the person that character is based on and they even recreate the shot that was broadcast on the news of him leaving the court house with the lawyer whole reporters are chasing him down
In the book Wiseguy "goodfellas book" they go a little further and talk about the Boston College Basketball point shaving scheme they had going on with a few players, and the prosecutor had gone to the same college at the same time on the same team and knew nothing about it. He came across the table at Henry almost hitting him in disbelief. Wish they had included that in the film but probably would of made the movie over 3 hours long
I laughed so hard at the "he gonna beat the alligator off your shirt" lol Also, it's funny you mentioned Pesci in Home Alone, he chose to do that specifically because he never gets to work for the kids. He really liked the script too, and was friends with the guy that played Marv.

"Never rat on your friends. And ALWAYS keep your mouth shut..." Great reaction JL! Loved it. Will rewatch it and enjoy it as much as your Pulp Fiction reaction. Belly rubs to the copilots! Many blessings.
"Why they turning that lady into a Smurf?" I woke up the rest of the house because I was howling with laughter when I heard that! Great video again, JL! Goodfellas is a phenomenal film, and I laugh a lot at it,. However, watching along with you I realized why it's been awhile since I've seen it: for me the film. A lot of relatives on my mother's side of the family lived in Nassau County just across the line from Queens, where a lot of this film was set, at approximately the same time as the events in the film. They had the same houses, furniture, accents, and yes, more than a few hostess parties that my mom dragged us kids to. (Shudder) Terrible food, too. I remember one of my mom's cousins used to be so proud of her baked tuna casserole with marshmallows in it. (Shudder again) Simply awful. Also at the same time, much further east on Long Island where my family lived, my dad was a cop assigned to an area lousy with gangsters, and gangster-wannabes, who had moved out from New York City because they thought it would be easier to do what they did and not get caught. My dad would tell me stories when I was growing up, and he described people just like all the guys you see in this film. Fast forward several years and I'm now going to high school in the very same area: the only Irish kid in a school that was 99.9% Italian. And I got grief from dozens of kids when word got out that my dad had been a cop in the area. These kids were all whining or complaining about how my dad locked up their dads/uncles/brothers/grandfathers. A couple even got stupid and tried to get revenge. My dad tell me even more stories, and provide more detail, as I got older because he figured I was old enough to understand. After he passed away I found even more about what he dealt with in his old cases files, with some details that actually chilled me. So yeah, gangsters can be entertaining in their way. But it's good to keep in mind why they are actually criminals. Other than that, shout out to Drogo and Romulus! You're one lucky guy to have co-pilots like them, JL! And keep up the good work!
@@EOMReacts Cool history fact the FBI agent interrogating him near the end was the real life Agent the interrogated the real life Henry Hill. Also Karen and Paulie were having an affair and the reason he tried whacking off Karen was because he tried having his way with her when she was saying no. Also hate to tell you this, but Henry hill was kicked out of witness because he kept getting into trouble and eventually he became more trouble than he was worth. So ever since than the only way he can make any real money was be constatly reliving his life in the Mafia, so it's no surprise he became an alcholic. Also the reason they had such priviliege in jail was because they BRIBED Guards to look the other way and get such nice things. BUT they had to pay almost $2000 a month and they couldn't earn it from the outside, and that's when Henry started dealing.
Regarding your intro: 1.) Your dog is FANTASTIC. 2.) I'm actually not surprised your mom loved it! My mom loved it, too! And my aunts love it, too, they're big mob movie fans! My buddy has a girlfriend in her early 30s and even SHE loves it.....which shocked me! / GREAT reaction!!!! One of the best "Goodfellas" reactions!!!! Now, after a break, when you're ready for more of this, you have to see "Casino" which is basically "Goodfellas Goes To Vegas"! Again: De Niro, Pesci and Scorsese. Almost as good (some like it better, most like it less, virtually everyone considers the two movies matching set!).
Casino will 110% be done. It’ll be done regardless but it’ll be in the “Crime movies” poll on our patreon in a free weeks, so it may end up being done sooner rather than later. Appreciate the support!

Two observations: 1. Jay will call at least one character a "bitch" in every reaction. 2. Jay said, "My mom thought that the more people who die in a movie, the better it is. But, I wasn't cut from that cloth." Yet, Jay spends a lot of this movie saying, "He should kill him" and "I'd take him out." So, maybe he got at least a PIECE of that cloth? Haha

Comedy “My Blue Heaven” Steve Martin and Rick Moranis. Based loosely off the witness protection life of Henry. My favorite Steve Martin movie. Quotables for days.
Real wiseguys were in several scenes like Tommy and Henry's exchange in "I'm a clown?" And when Henry was walking Karen through the back way into the nightclub.
“Billy Batts”, real name was William Bentvena, he actually got a worst fate, it included a tire iron. But that dude put his dues in. He was “made” for a reason. I suggest you watch the true story of the documentary. Then compile the two reaction vids together. In “goodfellas film and fact”.
Unfortunately for Batts, even being made isn’t enough protection to keep poking at a psycho like Tommy. It would have been wise for that guy to realize when to stop.
@@0okamino , that’s fair. But none of these guys were particularly wise nor smart despite how the movie portrays them. They were thugs, they were dumb, and they were bad with money. It was inevitable they got the fate they did. Every last one of them. I agree he should have known when to stop… on the other hand, I would have never been there. I’ve bounced and worked the door at a bar for a while some times back. I knew when I needed to call the cops because the person was too unhinged. Criminals don’t have that option.
@@0okamino , haha, my man. Exactly right. If they were smart they would gone legit. Criminals like that lifestyle, they get stuck, etc. many reasons to stay. But even Henry Hill and Sonny the bull Gravano returned to criminal activity after being in witness protection. They’re just criminals, they should’ve gone into politics.
That guy on stage telling dad jokes is Henny Youngman, and he pioneered dad jokes, lol. He also wasn't being played by an actor, that was the real guy. He passed away in 1998. He was a really interesting guy. Look his entry on wikipedia up sometime. XD
We need a Goodfellas 2 with drunk Henry Hill calling The Howard Stern show and whining about killing people. (The real Henry Hill was a frequent Stern Show caller)
Just a little trivia: the little old lady who played Tommy's mom is actually Martin Scorcese's mother. She also has an appearance in Casino playing another gangster's mother. I would guess all of her lines are completely unwritten; just improvised.
@Extraordinarily Ordinary Media I watch former mobster Michael Franzese he says that the real life story of this is that the reason Henry also switched out on paulie is because paulie was sleeping with his wife & was gonna attempt to kill Henry. Not sure if Jimmy & paulie were in kahoots to kill Henry, but it more than likely was since Jimmy was trying to kill Henry's wife.

@@EOMReacts You're very welcome. Thank you! RIP Ray Liotta.
@@EOMReacts A lot of Sopranos stars were in this film. R.I.P Tommy Vercetti.
'you only gotta learn 3 names?' AHHAHAHHAH great review bro and you're funny as hell
My life was nothing but sunshine and rainbows once I got a Morrie's wig.
Your conversation to Karen while she was holding the gun had me ROLLING! You, sir, are a riot!
"Why they turning that lady into a Smurf?"
I woke up the rest of the house because I was howling with laughter when I heard that!
Much appreciated, buddy.
As far back as I remember...I always wanted to be a Goodfeather. IF U KNO U KNO!!!
“Stay toxic my friends.”
Spit out my drink from laughing bro
@@EOMReacts Nice!!!! Really great time watching this with you! I wish I wrote down all the great moments, but I was caught up in the video! lol. See you on the next one! :D
First time ever watching you! Good job! So many good moments, you calling out Karen’s toxicity and predicting spiders demise lol. Paulie was 💯 was the whole movie
Thank you. I’m glad you enjoyed
RIP to Paul Sorvino. The great ones are moving on from us too quickly :(
- *I CAN WATCH THIS MOVIE 100 TIMES!!! AN ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE!!!* 😂😎
I have watched it a hundred times! At least! It’s always good!
This is one of my all-time favorites, as well. To one that I have always watched if it was on television and I watch every reaction to it.
Your mom sounds awesome and has great taste.
She is really awesome
You should add The Departed to the list. Love the reaction as always
Thank you and I’ve already seen The Departed. That movie is amazing.
This is one of best gangster movies ever. The guy in the movie talking to Henry about witness protection is Edward Mcdonald who was the real life prosecutor who took them down.
Havent seen this movie in about 20 years. Very enjoyable to rewatch it again and watching your reaction was just a bonus. Romulus was really posing this video. LOL Another great video. Cant wait for the next one.
Lol I promise I think Romulus knows when the camera on. It’s been times I sat there for 20 mins with him laying there and as soon as I turn the camera on he stands up lol. Glad you been enjoying the videos
3:58 Sheriff Meeker from Halloween 4 and 5
Best censor yet! But then again, I’ve said that to myself a few times.
You keep nailing it.
Some of this movie was filmed in my Hometown in New Rochelle, New York. Although I was a kid I do remember when they filmed. As far as “Billy Bats” goes he was a made guy (Basically Untouchable) You would need a good reason, and permission from the Boss otherwise you’re DEAD! 💀😂 Great stuff man! 👊
“Nah bruh, he gonna beat that alligator 🐊 off your shirt” 😂💀
That was Scorsese’s mom who made them the big meal in the middle of the night.
For real!?!
Yup that’s his Mom! 💯
@@peteyn.y.7960 wow! One of my favorite scenes in any movie!
Haha
🤣🤣🤣 since I got older I have been refabricated a little.
"Is that Samuel L Jackson?" Yes, most definitely it's Samuel L!
Lol he’s in everything.
I love how he shows up randomly in so many movies. This one, Kill Bill, Coming To America. He’s great whether he’s starring or has a bit part!
RIP RAY, 🙏 Fantastic Actor
Watching DeNero, made me think of a movie
Midnight Run...with DeNero...young DeNero
Action, Funny, He is So Good in this movie...Action
Chase...Charles Groden also stars...RIP
Enjoying your Channel 🤗
Make me laugh.
Yesss a true classic
I just watched your Casino review and came straight here.
RIP Ray Liota and Paul Sorvino we lost both legends this past month
It’s sad as hell too
You answering all of Karen's questions when she had the gun on Henry had me in stitches lol.🤣🤣
19:20 this part had me dying, so true!
🤣🤣🤣 he was great in it but man I would been scared to act next to him
Love your interactions with your dog.
Thank you
I had to restart your video twice.. I was laughing at your furry friend
Ray was a great actor and Goodfellas is one of my all time favorite movies. RIP
My all time favorite movie. Everything from the story line to the acting, cinematography, crude humour and the fact that the story is so interesting there is never a boring part with this movie. It's perfect.
20:35 dog strikes a pose lol 😂
Yo lemme tell you, you are the funniest reaction guy I follow and I follow quite a few
Thank you. That means a lot to me to hear that
@@J_EOMReacts I mean it as a compliment too. You should react to Get Shorty. It's a good movie
I love that you used the painting from Tommy’s mum’s house to cover the swears!
Tommy: there’s a leg!!!! There’s a wing!!!! Waddya want the leg or the wing Henry?!?? Or wouldya go for the ol’ hearts & lungs 🫁 🖤…” Tommy was hilarious & sick at the same time….🤣🤣🤣🤣….great reaction bro 😎
Lol glad you enjoyed
@@J_EOMReacts yessir!!!!! RIP Ray Liotta 😨
"Oh thats child abuse". Thank you for not minimizing it. A lot of people do, esp who've been through it themselves. And i do get it, but we gotta break the cycle.
New sub, loving the reactions so far :)
Welcome to the family!
Welcome to the family. Glad to have you here
Comedy “My Blue Heaven” Steve Martin and Rick Moranis. Based loosely off the witness protection life of Henry. My favorite Steve Martin movie. Quotables for days.
I love My Blue Heaven
You probably know but the old lady is Martin Scorceses actual Mother. He puts her in some of his films. I always thought that was funny.
Real wiseguys were in several scenes like Tommy and Henry's exchange in "I'm a clown?" And when Henry was walking Karen through the back way into the nightclub.
Henry never got wacked. He eventually came out of Witness protection and appeared publicly.
I seen a couple his interviews after this
When Henry Hill went into the Witness Protection Program after Karen and the kids, he asked that a whole lot of his mistresses be in WPA with him.
“Billy Batts”, real name was William Bentvena, he actually got a worst fate, it included a tire iron. But that dude put his dues in. He was “made” for a reason. I suggest you watch the true story of the documentary. Then compile the two reaction vids together. In “goodfellas film and fact”.
He was actually MUCH taller than Joe Pesci, and way more violent.
@@notmyrealname8282 Very true. They might have been savvy about their "business", but that doesn't always translate to smart.
This is such a masterpiece, such a masterpiece
That guy on stage telling dad jokes is Henny Youngman, and he pioneered dad jokes, lol. He also wasn't being played by an actor, that was the real guy. He passed away in 1998. He was a really interesting guy. Look his entry on wikipedia up sometime. XD
This is a classic movie. Also, your dog acts just like mine.
"He gonna beat that alligator off your shirt". (How'd you know? LOL)
My brother you are too funny. 😂I just love your reviews
LOL your dog at 20:34. 😂😂😂
Lol he don’t like when I’m not paying him attention
Awe shit! Don't know how I missed this pop?! Will have 2 check & c if ur algorithm's being fukd with? Awesome flick!
✌😎❤
My first watch of your video and I gotta say, it was funny as hell. Great reaction man. You got yourself a new sub. Thanks and keep it up.
Welcome to the family!
Glad you enjoyed and welcome to the family
great reaction mate. i really hope you get 50k subscribers by the end of the year!
Appreciate the support. We’re just hoping to keep it growing while everybody keeps enjoying.
Damn I loved you and your reaction to this! Glad to have found your page and I look forward to the next one brother!
I truly appreciate and happy you enjoyed. Welcome to the family
I FEEL you my brother from a very similar mother!
My mom was INTO the worst of the “B-Movie” horror stuff , just awful not just in content but terrible excuses for movies, lol.
She was a very bright woman, it was actually a bit frightening, like, “.uhh, anything I should be aware of in our family HISTORY.. or r curses or black magic lol.
I couldn’t ever figure out the attraction
(Okay, there were a few really really good ones mixed in-
One I highly recommended for your Halloween Month - it’s an 80’s horror film called “Phantasam”
It’s creeepy man!
My Blue Heaven is basically the story of what happens after this movie except as a comedy with Steve Martin. A good follow up.
Both movies were sourced from the same tell-all book Henry Hill wrote.
You’re one of my favorite reactors. Thank you for watching movies I love. Peace and Love. 🐶🐶
You cut out my favorite scene. Deniro at the bar smoking the cig when he starts contemplating killing Maury. Absolutely brilliant acting. No one said more with saying a word than Deniro
Great Reaction, check out Heat, Empire, a Bronx Tale, Casino, Carlito’s Way, Donnie Brasco and Men of Honor 🎉
I love your videos. Just discovered you and have binged ever since
