- This week is all about color palletes, swatches and color managed support in gradients. A whole bunch of fixes since the last video, and a lot of testing of various features that were theoretically supported but turned out to not be.
Thank you everyone who supports my work on Patreon, please see / doctormo if you are interested in helping my work.

Getting excited about 1.3!
Now, to the real question (apart of moms being moms): what's up with the birds? SO MANY BIRDS.
Yeah, I might have missed most of the updates trying to identify them ;)
Looks like Inkscape 1.3 will be massive 😮
more window screen time please... the birds moving in the background looks nice... ^_^
lol I can't be the only one who was expecting "Can't touch this" (MC Hammer) in the intro lol
Thanks developers 🚀🚀🚀
In this birdwatching episode... ;)
I just went to try the new build and discovered the context menu in the dockable dialogues offers to insert emojis. I found it in the RGBA field trying to pin colours, but it's there for all the fields. Can't find it anywhere where it would be useful, as in Text tool 🧐
I'd find it useful to pin the colours that aren''t in the palette. I tend to use Bootstrap since it only has pretty colours but sometimes still need white and black. Could save a custom palette for this I guess.
Thank you for your great work and all the improvements coming our way. Recently I however encountered a PDF export problem, which I did not have before (in Inkscape 0,92.5) but now have in the latest version. When I have pattern fill, the objects turn out empty when exported. As I still also have the older version, I tried it there, but it crashes each time I am trying to export.
I am drawing sewing instructions and need the pattern fill to represent right side of fabric. For the time being I used bitmap copy of those pieces, but it was pretty cumbersome and it looks kind of muddy. So, what could cause that?
That's a bug and I think I've heard of that before. You should report it to inkscape.org/report to make sure though. Try the latest developer version to see if it's fixed and if not, go to the reporting link and say what you've said here and if you are allowed to share, you can post the file that would be helpful,.
The current development version doesn't seem to have this feature yet.
Mom's comment: Reason #283 why I'm not on camera for my videos yet lol
Hi martin, thanks for the update. Can you add "color wheel" for CMYK option. i see only sliders to set the CMYK value. You can see the color wheel when you use HSL tab but not in cmyk or others
I'm not sure what a CMYK color wheel would look like, those wheels were all added recently by Mike and Rafael. Could you add an issue at inkscape.org/report for me and if you know of an example post that too.
Hi. Martin Owens! When does it come out?1.3?
April or May 2023
It would be great to have tighter Inkscape integration with the sk1 project.
But the sk1 project community(the project) is dying. Unfortunately. : (
@@alvesr.1989 I agree. It was very sad when the original developer died.
But this is why building your own format is always such a difficulty. People say to us why we should abandon svg, but honestly it provides a backbone that sk1 for example can't have in comparison.
