Interior on the new one I really like. Exterior is.. ok? 100% agree on the comparisons. It's giving me major Escalade vibes. Missed opportunity to just sell a fully equipped patrol as a pro-4x (again) is disappointing.
There is still hope, there’s no information on the diffs themselves yet, only that the rear has a locker. If they are the larger/stronger Patrol diffs, that would be a huge deal. Well have to wait and see
Hey just discovered your channel! Been interested in getting an Armada. The 2025 Pro-4X looks cool but I really want the V8. How difficult is it to turn an Armada into a Patrol? Is it possible to add rear E-lockers to an Armada?
The main difference between the armada and patrol is the hbmc system and the larger front and rear differentials with lockers. The hbmc isn’t something you can really swap over but I believe some QX80s come with it. As for the diffs, it’s not too big of a deal to swap them but the main issue is getting ahold of them as shipping two very large diffs from Australia is very cost prohibitive.
@Garage23 thanks for the info! Have you done any videos comparing the Armada with the Patrol? So far your channel is the best I've found on turning an Armada into an off road beast. I've read that there are aftermarket air lockers you can install. Don't know much about those though. Thanks!!!
i felt the same way about the air suspension. would it be possible to change the suspension even thought its electronic? if so would it be good to do it?
It’s 0.7” longer, 3.4” wider, and 2” taller. Not huge differences but I feel like more 3rd row leg/cargo room would have been more useful than the added width.
I disagree with the design direction. I have hated how the past decade+ everything has been so round. I love the boxy look is coming back tough. The new lexus GX is a great example. I want my SUV to be drawable by a toddler. Bring back that 90's rover disco look.

Once I hit 100k miles in my '21 Armada, I'll definitely look into the Pro 4x but I have a feeling my bank account will said no lol
Yeah my guess is most likely it will start around 65k

What are the benefits of doing that, since your car lacks the off-roading capabilities of the Patrol?

It should still be possible and if not it’s only a matter of time till someone develops shocks for it.
@Garage23 ty I appreciate the reply. And I subscribed to u. U got some good stuff here
How do you feel about the new size?

I agree, the early 90s pathfinder was peak. Those box flare fenders 👌
