Welcome back guys! Today we'll address a common issue with the '95 to '98 Nissan 240SX stereo system, where a separate audio amplifier often burns out over time, interrupting the sound circuit. I drove the Lexus Rc f and the Gto like 2 Weeks ago and it was nuts. So cheap too. Saw that somebody fucked up the Rims of the Rx8 big time.
I got to 2:07 of video and noticed no jack stands, talk about living on the edge lol. I like the work you are showing us drive way mechanics though.
Yeah laziness won out on that one. 😅 If I was gonna be getting under the truck I would for sure be using jack stands though.
If I could get an awesome discount on one, do you think it’s a better platform for a family overland rig than, say, the Land Cruiser 250 / GX 550? The weaker front differential does worry me a little. That said, I bet the Pro-4x could get me to 99% of the places I’d like to go in the remote Western USA.
I guess it depends how much time you plan on spending on road vs off road. The solid rear axle on the land cruiser is still a more rugged design better suited for off roading. While the Armadas IRS provides better comfort and handling on road. But now more than ever I believe the Armada is considerable competition for Toyota especially considering the price differences there will be in the used market.
Yaaaay! another junkyard walkthrough!! I miss these
Lmfaoooo you still have the Altima?!?!?! The inflection in your voice on that find!
Yeah still have it! 😅 gonna be going through a whole refresh with it this year on the channel.
😂😂😂❤❤❤
Those celica supra diffs are solid pretty much bolt in upgrades for ae86 so no surprises it was missing. The 20r motors where decent too with a w55 or 58 5speed trans, really good find for someone.
Ahhh that makes sense, I was like theres a lot taken for being such an obscure car.
Shit fuel man 91 octane that’s bad for your engine. In Australia we have 98 octane at the pump 91 octane we use for washing parts in
Yup pretty much all down to crap fuel 🫠
Great video dude! About to order the bulbs and do this asap.
What supporting mods are needed to use this turbo on a stock rb25det?
If you keep it around 10psi of boost you don’t need any supporting mods. If you go to 15psi it runs into fuel cut so will need bigger pump and injectors for sure and along with that goes engine management of some kind.
Wow looks nice! Congrats. For the screen, i d go for the Grid Racing MFD and the Crank Motorsport Vspec2 seats
Yeah definitely looking at the grid MFD and was looking at the Crank seats but ended up picking up some knock off Nismo seats locally that turned out pretty nice.
Seeing the rear control arms almost tempts me to armada swap the rear of my r51 pathfinder.
There was someone that was making similar arms for the R51 but haven’t heard anything recently about it.
@Garage23 I haven't seen anything on that, would be nice, but thinking either swapping in a solid axle out of an Xterra or Armada swapping the rear suspension.
Hello and thank you for the videos. Trans off my 2008 g37s is stuck in neutral, i have the trans off. It allows travel to the left like if you were to go into 1st or 2nd but it does not avtually go in. Going to the right to 5th it does not move at all, stuck in nuetral. Any input as to what could be the issue?
Hard to say, could just be the lock out plate on the shifter adjusted incorrectly. Other than that you’d need to get the case off at least and inspect the forks and rods for binding.
I ended 2024 with this video, and started 2025 continuing this video. Thanks for all the content throughout the years!
BOOM BABY! Great video brotha!
@@EYE_SPIDER It sure did! Thank you 😁
Cool. Now I’m buying an armada and these control arms because of this video. You run a locking rear differential, larger trans oil pan, any intake/exhaust modifications?
Awesome! Nope all stock except for an air filter.
Is replacing the radiator as easy as it looks? The neck on my 93 with 310,000 miles has broken. Definitely an underrated vehicle.
It is pretty easy, the only part that can really give you a hard time is the clutch fan and shroud. Once you get those off it’s pretty straightforward
Awesome vid man! I'm currently adding a turbo kit to my GT and I went with this turbo. I'm surprised your turbo has their name stamped on the housing. Mine didn't have anything stamped on it other than a serial number, and it came in a plane brown box with no paperwork or anything that says their name so I'm kind of confused. But anyways, what can you expect from a $150 ish turbo lol.
I have also heard some varying reports of the look of the turbo but thankfully fitment and performance has been pretty consistent. Like you said it’s kind of hard to criticize a turbo in this price range 😅
Do you make this for never models only or is there a range... I have a 2013 Armada... do you make anything for these years as well?? thanks in advance...
Believe it or not Nissan didn’t change anything suspension design related on armadas until this years 2025 model. So they will fit all Armada and Q suvs
@Garage23 Nice 👌 good to know.. I got some off road light on the way. I will start looking into this from you guys soon.. also, it's this a full kit front and back or just the front only. Thanks in advance.
You recommended a BFH but used a SFH
I was looking to turn my 2017 Nissan Armada intern off-roader I've seen many Australian videos how much does this cost as a build
The 4WD models are very capable out of the box so the basics are just 35”s a suspension lift and control arms which on the cheaper end will set you back around 3500$
@Garage23 thank you
Nice built! Do you know whether the oem bnr34 rear bumper fits on the gtt with stock rear fenders?
I don’t think it does as the GTR rear bumper is wider but I can verify that later today.
Looks nice, but i d choose the crank motorsport vspec2 seats with the whole interior for my gtt
That was my plan also until I came across this deal.
knock knock engine........... Vengeance :D
Please tell me this car has a crackle tune so It can keep blowing up.
It does ! 😬 🤣
@@Garage23 broccoli head culture strikes again, most people don't know the tiniest bit about EFI to realize that intentionally causing combustion in the exhaust is very bad.
Taking da vq for a walk 🤣 the damage from that rod was insane.
Never seen so much collateral damage 🫠
wooooooooow its coming together really well!!!
Let’s hope it stays that way 🥲
@@Garage23 but... its content lol
🤣
That’s wild 😂 rod came out with a vengence😅
First time I’ve seen the entire rod exit the block 😅
Hi mines stuck in third im struggling to get housing off both snap rings afr off 10mm off and rest of housing bolts been going at it with hammer for hours
One of the bolts for the case is inside the shifter access panel, that’s the only thing I can think of.
So how did u determine it wasn’t the headgasket
Hopes and prayers 😅 usually with a blown headgasket you get a mixture of oil into the coolant, combustion pressure into coolant or combustion pressure into crank case, it wasn’t exhibiting any of these issues so we just fixed the hose. The fact that it no longer overheated after the repair also reassured us that the heads were fine.
You are sooooo very lucky........you got to meet the most lovely person from Trust Kikaku staff!!!!!💖 🦘❤🗾
💯 she was a pleasure to work with start to finish 🙌
Dude! You guys are a God send. We've been dealing with this for months in our 2017 Armada. The dealership and the local mechanic had no idea what to do.
Glad it helped you out 🙌
what rear overfenders are those? looks good
Thanks! They’re actually duraflex circuit flares but I modified them quite a bit.
@@Garage23 what is your instagram? any shots of the car from the back?
Coolest car project, my dream.
Great job
If Nissan thinks this is their savior as they go bankrupt they’re probably going bankrupt… let’s get rid of the affordable sedans and go for the 60k+ suv
Yeah I agree not the direction I would have gone but it is what it is. There’s great improvements but gonna have to wait for it to depreciate 60%
I am a big toyota fan and got 4 of their 4x4's. since they screw up with newer versions, I am considering an armada. Question is 2024 or 2025! iI love the V8 and simplicity in it as opposed to V6 TT on 2025 with air suspension. I keep cars for a lifetime so V8 2024 would last longer due to it been low on tech stuff and suspension. What do you think?
The 2024 generation seem to have a lot of electrical gremlins, particularly with the infotainment system. But other than that it's a good option. The 2025 looks very promising just with the mechanical upgrades over previous years. The turbo V6 also should be pretty solid as Nissan has had great success with the GTR, Q50RS and new Z, i still prefer a V8 in a truck but many automakers are moving to turbo 6s. The only drawback i see is the air suspension but that should be fairly simple to upgrade down the line.
I have a 2023 Armada and I have crazy electrical gremlins in the infotainment system.
Hey man!, I have an 08 with rack pinion leaking, is this brand Detroit Axle, still been good after this time? Any issues? Thanks! Thinking about buying replacement.
Yes this was the Detroit Axle brand. Been great so far, only thing I’ve noticed is the steering is a bit heavier than before. Not sure if due to rack being set up tight, or possibly new tie rods with less give. But overall very happy with it.
Nice Job!
Thanks!!
The door handle clips on my 95 have been replaced by zip ties. Zip ties are the best. 👍
Same on my Altima 😅
I just did this hope it fixes it
Is it BR-RS modèle ?
Yes RS model (rubber bushings)
Wow, been a while since I've checked in, I think the prototype was just being made last time I looked. I've forgotten everything I ever looked up about lifting these things. I have two armadas now and would like to make one of them a decent trail machine. From your website it looks like the rear uppers pretty much fit everything and correct the crap camber when you lift them, but do you have an opinion on what lift components are going to work the best with the new arms?
Hey thanks for checking in! Any suspension lift that lands you around 39” of ride height at the rear fender on 35s would probably be best as that’s what ours happens to be and that’s what they were designed around. A bit under or over is fine as I tried to allow the oem eccentric bolts to have a usable range again as opposed to just being maxed out.
31s and took the steps off of my 09 Pathfinder. It is fine, minus the fact that it needs an LSD.
I really want to remove my steps also but I’ve noticed a strong correlation between that and seat cushion longevity 😅 really need to work on some rock rails
@Garage23 my seat already had a tear.
More off road videos on Armadas please!
On the schedule for winter now that it’s not a million degrees outside in Arizona 🙌
First step to doing auto electrical correctly: Bang head against wall for 2 days 😂
Pretty much 😅 still have no clue why my ecu won’t start the same engine
Great video. Do an uprev ecu swap with EVT working. Also a write up making fans work like stock. I know its a minor thing but it would complete the oem feel.
Yeah there’s definitely still some things to iron out but we’ll figure it out. As for the EVT, currently it doesn’t seem worth the amount of work for a single digit gain but we’re gonna look into using a 7gen harness/ecu and see if that’s feasible.
@Garage23 that's what I'm planning for my 4th gen maxima 😅
Nice! I’m going the G37 route with my Altima 😶
Would you sell ready to go harnesses?? If so hm?
The problem is the dash harness has to be modified as well for the newer style gauge cluster and that’s not easily removable. So you’d be left with no gauges.
@ i dont mind repinning the dash harness as ive done it before for the i35 speedo.
If you feel comfortable addressing the cluster then we can definitely build you the engine harness.
oh man what a game changer!
For sure!
You just saved my daily 🥹 I got to find some UCA like yours though, mine are done for. Also like those wheels, got me looking for some already😂
Yeah those wheels looked a lot better than I thought
