There’s a mod that lets sharpshooters and grenadiers keep using assault rifles. I find it to be useful esp. with the Republic Armoury mod since it treats the DC-15A rifle like the Grenadier’s cannon but keeps it as an assault rifle.
Tracer rounds. Gun modifications that improve aim. High elevation. These are crucial to be good with snipers. If you just half ass it and put your sniper anywhere they will be useless.
I send my best sniper on covert ops that give +aim, and also gave him aim PCS. With a default aim of 125 ish and high ground, he has guaranteed hit even with deadeye. Add AP/talon rounds and the sniper becomes a killing machine.
Some defense stats make no sense. I forgot its name, but you know, which i mean, the psyonic ball with tons of armor. For some reason, when shooting at this thing, you suddenly lose your glasses because they lose the ability to aim and constantly miss
@@goofygoober779 He was saying if you overwatch while concealed and you break concealement (for example by throwing a grenade), these overwatch shots have no aim penalty
this is the most xcom thing ive xcomed
It's over Chryssalid i have the high ground
YOU UNDERESTIMATE MY POWER!
It can jump better than Anakin and it does not need the force lol
Snipers are OP at higher levels. I remember getting the "Lone Wolf" achievement in the first XCOM using a single max level sniper
I would say that PSI ops are stronger but tbh they're not practical as by the time you get one max promotions the game is already over
Snipers would actually be much better, if you could use the damn rifle after moving.
(spoilers ig?) hunter's sniper rifle allows you to shoot after moving
I might be wrong though, but my main sniper has been using it and has been able to move around and shoot
if u get run and gun, u can do just that.
or reload and then shoot...u basically get 3 actions as long as one is stationary.

@@crawllingchaosno it literally says on the hunters rifle description that after using one action point you can still use the sniper rifle
I've missed so many shots with Kill Zone that without aiming mods I don't bother anymore and go straight to Gunslinger.

Why you should have EVERY soldier using AIM bonuses from equipment and addons.
Snipers have the best aim out of all classes, and an easier time using high ground.
*THAT'S XCOM BABY*

Wasn't it luck? Anyways, sounds similar

hey was that grenadier armor a mod or a dlc please le me know it looked cool
doesn't look like anything in the DLC to me but I'm not sure
Do you mean at 0:10? Cause that's a mod. It's Titanfall 2 Cloak pilot armor. The hat is also a mod I think, but I don't remember which one.
@@roulace3229 nah, that hat is on the Xbox version base game So they can at least get that easy.
I bring templar, skirmisher and ranger lol the sniper support from afar with kill zone
I continuously destroy the enemy through Overwatch, literally.
Isn't there a special aim debuff on all Sharpshooter overwatch shots?
There is a debuff on all overwatch shots. That's the reason they miss so frequently. Unless you do the shot while still concealed.
@@Ultrabuu85 Overwatch shots only trigger when you are revealed. There are no concealed overwatch shots.
