As a very big fan of Warframe, this was a great introduction to your content and sense of humor. Glad UA-cam gave me this recommendation. Little bit of advice, despite what other people may try to tell you, you can play the game your own way. As long as you find ways to make it fun for you, you will enjoy the game for a long while. Additionally, you don't have to rush through the story missions. I expect a fair number of people will try to get you to run the New War questline as soon as you can due to it being a high quality cinematic quest that changes a bit of the outlook on some aspects of the game, but the more you take your time to enjoy the content and play at your own pace, the more fun you will have playing this game.
I picked Mag as a starter and it’s kinda funny how many people say not to pick her. I’ve never regretted it. Welcome to Warframe. The storylines are some of my favorites in games ever.

The systems in Warframe will feel familiar to you if you've played TFD because TFD basically lifted almost every system they have straight from Warframe.
15:55 Tip from a long time player. E is fine for melee since it's now hold to spam melee attacks. Back in the day putting it on M1 is better with the toggle to put it on, not bind but toggle it by using 'Melee with Fire Weapon Input' because you actively had to press the melee button to melee and that will kill your fingers and hand if it was left on E. But it does screw you over with weapon changing if you care about quick weapon switching since you'd have to always use E then F to cycle through all 3 weapons now instead of just primary and secondary with F.

Ancient warframe player here probably have about 10,000 hours no joke ( original closed beta tester ) always nice to see a new player join the game hope you enjoy it and have fun. Story missions are dope and the gameplay is pretty fun and addicting and the game runs buttery smooth so as long as your computer is decent you shouldn't have any issues. You at the very least should play till you are able to get to the second dream quest and play it because that's when the game really starts and don't worry about spoilers no warframe player will spoil that quest it's sort of a unspoken rule for us. And one thing to note about warframes is they are actual one man armies in lore being straight out of myths and legends and it feels like that when you play as one once you have them upgraded. It is very much a power fantasy game. And if you love fashion then you'll love this game everything is customizable and I do mean everything. And the skins aren't really that expensive most are around 6-7 dollars but deluxe skins and such are a bit more expensive but you can actually grind for weapon parts, blue prints and the like and sell them on the market for the premium currency instead of buying it and the developers actually give you discounts on the premium currency every so often which makes it pretty cheap so you can do both. If you like doing the floating in the air trick there are actually mods in the game that will let you stay in the air longer when you do that and fall slower. Also excalibur main since the original closed beta so over a decade.

PLEASE keep in mind that this game DOES have a story, an incredible one. but it takes a bit to actually get to. On Uranus with "natah" and "the second dream" is where it all begins. if the world is confusing and lore doesn't make sense, just keep playing. the more story you play the more the game explains about this strange world you've woken up in

Fun fact: Titania has razor fly companions because she's not just *any* fairy queen, she's the Ruler of the UnSeelie Court and her little winged form is a Moth! Similarly Oberon is a warframe, the Bright Lord of the Seelie Court, and this is emphasized with his Deluxe Skin which is themed after the Monarch butterfly! You can see the skin by typing "[Oberon Feyarch" into the Chat box in the game and hitting enter once an auto-complete shows up.

As anyone will tell, you the start of the game isn't the best story wise, and it admittedly takes a bit for it to shine, but it's actually one of my favorite things about the game. I think the gameplay does a great job of keeping people hooked until then, though. I've been on a binge of watching streamers try out warframe for the first time and no lie that "go upgrade your gear with mods" section is absolutely horrible. I have over 5k hours in the game and I was honestly surprised there isn't even the most basic tutorial button at the bottom that they have with most other systems, I mean the mod terminal has a tutorial setup that would be infinetly better put to use in the upgrade section as a band-aid solution for now. Considering how important THAT section of the game is for progression, this is one of those cases where DE really should go full hand-hold: Grey out the screen, highlight and show ONLY the important bits with text prompts showing an action being taken and then FORCING the player to do it before going on to the next step. I know that taking controls away from players is not something to be tried lightly, but in this case, considering how information dense the upgrading screens are, a solid "Sit down, shut up, look and listen." tutorial section might be in order. Just because I had to go through learning the game through forum workshop posts and trial-and-error over my decade in the game does not mean that new players have to go through it.
Welcome to the game. The first few in-game hours can feel like a drag, but if you want to get more missions, side or main, just keep going to planets and completing junctions, but dont feel rushed for it, more important to have fun than get to the end content immediately. On another note, Id recommend getting ranked up with the Deimos to get the Helminth segment. You can put basic warframes you don't wish to keep or have an extra of into it and can get an ability off that frame you can put on others. Its just better than selling them.

Love that you at the start had problem with "how do i mele" and you said "oh i have to read tips". And then you proceed to ignore every next tutorial tip. About this melee setting with M1. This is some abhorent mistake. And i have no idea why your chat suggest this. It lower your reaction time bc every time when you want to shoot when you are at mele mode you have to AIM first. And meleing with M1 will confuse you every time when you try to activate mele mode. If you dont wanna use E to mele swap this into some side button mouse(bc i'm asuming you have at least one), and if you have two then set this other button into heavy mele. But M1 should always be shooty shoot. And mele should only be mele. And not "button to mele stance, and then other button to do mele". Its like console pad seting.

Also i can tell the LORE is Huge and has very good wats to tell you the story ..... If you would continue playing , you will path almost all shades of greatness to sadness . I really love it . Also like some little remark: This game is actually a sequel to a game Darksector which was made by the same Defs and lore frome Warframe connects to the Darksector . I could say . This is not necessary you need to start playing Darksector in first . Cause the time line gab is HUGE . But i would say is good to consider to play if you wanna to see how is came to this . small tip, just play the game,chill out and dnt rush things,take your time and trust me the story of this game is phenomenal,just give it a bit time and you will be rewarded
I swear, the statistics on who picked mag as a starter would probably just show me and one other guy. Please DE, just replace her as a starter instead of having her be the child that doesn't get picked for all eternity. 😭 And Mag is an amazing starter, btw. No idea why people keep telling new players that she isn't. She has the vacuum effect built in, pull is great for early melee, magnetize is great for bigger threats, polarize is survivability, and crush is an amazing room clear. Her whole kit can be used offensively or defensively. Built in shield and armor strip and shield regen. The only downside is that she is more nuanced and thus a bit harder to learn than the other two, but let's not pretend like chat isn't gonna help.
Well i have to agree with the change of starters peopels who join warframe now can't even read, can't compare and match two symbols it's good if we got new tenno's but not any means necessary some gatekeeping needed. I watched a lot of new peopels start warframe some 20 episodes in don't used more than the first ability not put any mod in the frame except one loot radar on the wrong slot. That's how bright some are you can't expect them to use mag properly i jsut got amg recently and i'm palying since late 2015 but at least i can use them. Even those who i don't own i recently played Duviri steel path curcuit with a basic modded saryn still lasted up to the 1200 level enemeis with a good team but we got abysmal weapons the bes ti had is the shiv and an unmodded tigris prime...
Just think of the game as an "if you THINK you can do it, you probably can" type of game, dont get lost in the systems and ask the community any question you might have, you will always have someone to help you.

turn your motion blur off if your having trouble with the look sensitivity its not nearly as bad

Love that you at the start had problem with "how do i mele" and you said "oh i have to read tips". And then you proceed to ignore every next tutorial tip.
About this melee setting with M1. This is some abhorent mistake. And i have no idea why your chat suggest this. It lower your reaction time bc every time when you want to shoot when you are at mele mode you have to AIM first. And meleing with M1 will confuse you every time when you try to activate mele mode.
If you dont wanna use E to mele swap this into some side button mouse(bc i'm asuming you have at least one), and if you have two then set this other button into heavy mele. But M1 should always be shooty shoot. And mele should only be mele. And not "button to mele stance, and then other button to do mele". Its like console pad seting.

Nice to see new players trying this masterpiece out . This game came through a long path . From 2013 to 2024 . It had more then 5 massive expansions Lore wise and Gameplay wise . Also i can tell the LORE is Huge and has very good wats to tell you the story ..... If you would continue playing , you will path almost all shades of greatness to sadness . I really love it . Also like some little remark: This game is actually a sequel to a game Darksector which was made by the same Defs and lore frome Warframe connects to the Darksector . I could say . This is not necessary you need to start playing Darksector in first . Cause the time line gab is HUGE . But i would say is good to consider to play if you wanna to see how is came to this . I didn't have sensitivity issues when I played and never turned as fast as you did. Maybe it's your mouse DPI made things faster?
I think that the sensitivity being high may be more related to your mouse DPI settings than the actual in game sensitivity
I swear, the statistics on who picked mag as a starter would probably just show me and one other guy. Please DE, just replace her as a starter instead of having her be the child that doesn't get picked for all eternity. 😭
And Mag is an amazing starter, btw. No idea why people keep telling new players that she isn't. She has the vacuum effect built in, pull is great for early melee, magnetize is great for bigger threats, polarize is survivability, and crush is an amazing room clear.
Her whole kit can be used offensively or defensively. Built in shield and armor strip and shield regen.
The only downside is that she is more nuanced and thus a bit harder to learn than the other two, but let's not pretend like chat isn't gonna help.
Well i have to agree with the change of starters peopels who join warframe now can't even read, can't compare and match two symbols it's good if we got new tenno's but not any means necessary some gatekeeping needed. I watched a lot of new peopels start warframe some 20 episodes in don't used more than the first ability not put any mod in the frame except one loot radar on the wrong slot. That's how bright some are you can't expect them to use mag properly i jsut got amg recently and i'm palying since late 2015 but at least i can use them. Even those who i don't own i recently played Duviri steel path curcuit with a basic modded saryn still lasted up to the 1200 level enemeis with a good team but we got abysmal weapons the bes ti had is the shiv and an unmodded tigris prime...
