I haven't played Warframe much after Whispers, but the 1999 section was the highlight, because it was so out of place and felt like a Dark Sector reference, however, it was too well done to just be a reference. I haven't even really kept up with teasers and devstreams much since Failja- Railjack's release. I immediately became interested in 1999 when I heard it's actually going to be content beyond a few minutes in a quest, though.. I still didn't really pay much attention to the development notes, so I missed some bits, ahem Eleanor's tongue. The whole romance system was probably the least interesting part and figured I wouldn't even care about it, since from what I've seen the Hex seemed like.. just skins on existing frames, ended up joking how I'd go for Eleanor. Started the quest, realized it's mandatory to be Drifter, hated the idea... Saw that we got a new home place, figured it looks cool, but a bit empty, but I hate decorating things, not my type of activity. never touched player housing in MMOs. On day 2 of the update I spent over an hour working on my Drifter to look cool, because I no longer want to play as my Operator and since the update I spent about 5 hours decorating the new area and now I'm actively working on getting decor to make it better. The Hex is one of my favorite quests now, because the characters I wasn't interested in actually grew on me. I was so upset at the end of the quest that we reset the time and then.. quest done. The last time I was upset was when the Sacrifice pulled that level of cliffhanger. Finished the quest for good and now I'm hoping that the 1999 setting as a whole stays and gets more content, because it's legit an interesting setting. Oh, and the romance system ended up becoming one of the most interesting parts, the amount lore dump is awesome. The horny texts are a bonus.
Such a shame we can barely hear the boy band's singing as Amir fights for the last remaining minutes of their lives. Sadly, Background music was too low
there is a second quest - called the hex finale - i havent played it - i will record it in the next few days - you need to be friendly with all members and at least rank 3 with the hex syndicate to unlock it - so be prepared ^^
