Whenever I hear this original Ordis, I am reminded he is actually one of the most dangerous people in the entire universe being imprisoned in a cephalon
well it depends on what you consider the original, when dream Ordis triggered his emergency purge precept that was Ordan Karris talking, and the one trying to intentionally miss you was Ordis. see the reason Ordis was originally installed into our orbiter wasn't to keep us company or to manage our ship operations, but to keep a very close eye on us. if we strayed from our Orokin sanctioned duties, if we committed any crime against the Orokin, or if we became unfit to command the warframes in any way, we would be swiftly purged by the cephalon Ordan Karris. why? because he was the perfect candidate for the job. see in his life Ordan Karris was once the most skilled, infamous, and top notch mercenary in the Orokin Empire, known originally as the Beast of Bones Ordan Karris. He won accolades after accolades in hopes of being granted an audience with the Seven Emperors, and when his wish was fulfilled he took the opportunity to☠them. He succeeded, but only to be mocked by those he took down, for they were immortal. As a reward for his audacity he was turned into a Cephalon, cursed to serve those who had the same Oro essence as the Seven Emperors, the Tenno themselves. Why would they save us? simple, because we had Oro, the same stuff the Emperors had, and the Seven were fascinated by us because of it. This is why the empire tolerated Margulis for so long, but when she crossed the line by insulting the Empire in front of the Seven and Council, her fate was sealed. normally this would have also meant the "extradition" of all relations up to 3 generations, but we were spared simply by the Sevens will. It wasnt until later that Ballas would use Margulis' research on transference that he would then develop the Somatic Link. (funfact: the seven were so fascinated with us that when we started developing the great tenno schools and developed our own culture and practices, instead of shunning it the emperors embraced it, and so our culture became incredibly prevalent and popular in the empire, all of the asian themed stuff in orokin architecture, food culture, interior design, music, etc. that was our influence, when you go inside an orokin derelict or tower and see bamboo's and zen gardens and ponds, thats our influence. even musical instruments like the shawzin was born from our influence, even the tea set and dishes with chopsticks were our influence. at the height of the empire, our culture and presence became so engrained into orokin society that we were synonymous with the coming of a new golden renaissance within the once stagnating empire, we were hailed as heroes, saviors, icons, even deities. and given time we could have even changed the empire from the inside for the better, which is why i will forever find it wasteful to have resorted to extinction instead.)
1. Ordis actually explains why you can't go outside the Shipping Lane: there's radiation , burst scanners, proximity mines, and Grineer Death Rays that will take you out if you stray outside the Shipping Lane. The Fortress was intended to be nearly impenetrable, but they had to leave an opening to get supplies in, which makes the Shipping Lane the only way in. 2. The Dax were given great strength and power, but in exchange, were genetically coded to obey the Orokin. Teshin did what he could to help you despite this, but fully expected to die as a result. As far as he was aware, he was freeing you at the cost of his life. You threw a wrench in that when you came back for him, but also gave him the chance to be free. It was only the fact that the Elder Queen held the Kuva Staff that kept him in their service; once she no longer had it, he was no longer forced to obey her. In your game, he could now kill her, but even if you let her rot, because she doesn't have the Kuva Staff, she no longer has the authority of the Orokin, and he is no longer required to obey her orders. 3. Not sure if you picked up on it, but the whole 'Continuity' and 'Yuvan' thing is basically body-snatching. The context the mission gives is that when Orokin got old and weak, they would go to the 'Yuvan Theater' to pick out a new body, then perform 'Continuity' to pour their minds into the new body. They would move from their dying body to a new, young one. The older Queen was trying to basically destroy your mind so that she could take your body for herself, not only becoming young and strong, but also gaining the powers you got when the ship you were on was lost in the Void. 4. At the end, the younger Grineer Queen is performing Continuity on the Grineer. It's showing that she is still able to pass her mind to new bodies, so she will remain a threat even though her sister is gone. 5. The mysterious message is not from Teshin. I won't say who it is from, but it is someone you've heard of before, though you haven't met them.
when watching the cutscene at the end it isnt describing the queen preforming continuity, it's about the creation of a Kuva Lich. As its talking about how a weak maggot who doesn't live long. (talking about a kuva larvling) and how they can grow stronger if they impress the queens if the queen were to "share the old blood" aka give them kuva to make them into a lich. this is also supported by the message in the inbox from the worm after about the kuva liches and how they are gonna make us "get what we deserve." Another thing to note is that this didnt exist until after update 26 "The Old Blood" the update that added the liches into the game in November 2019, which came a few days off from 3 years after the release of the war within in November of 2016. But other than number 4 great explanations!
So few people seem to click what is going on in this quest. The gist is that the reason Tenno originally couldn't control their powers is that they were fucked up by the trauma of watching their parents go mad and try to kill them when the Zariman was stuck in the void. Lots of the Tenno had to kill their own parents to survive...the option you took in the dialogue meant to went and hid and other people died because you couldn't face killing your parents. The voices you hear during the quest are echo's of your dead parents. It was your Dad that called you Kiddo. The powers Tenno have require focus and emotional balance to control (that's why the Tenno schools are all based on Japanese zen teachings). That the Tenno all came out of the void with PTSD basically made that level of control impossible so they just randomly lasered things and set stuff on fire. Margulis solved this by using Orokin tech to erase your memories, and then put you to sleep in the pods. That's what The Dream is, it's the double whammy of removing your memories and sedating you just to keep you calm so you don't explode. The Lotus did it too you again, to hide you from Hunhow and make you forget the whole destroying the Empire and causing the collapse of the human society thing...that's The Second Dream. That's why you can't remember what you are at the start of the game. They solved your trauma by erasing your memories. What Teshin is doing is showing you that there's another way to handle trauma, to face it, and accept it. The point is Teshin is helping you unlock your memories so you can face your trauma and become stronger. That's why, when you go back for your frame, you no longer need the Somatic Link. You've mastered yourself and are now more in control of your powers. That's why you can now exist outside of your frame (before you could only temporarily project from it before having to go back to sleep). You can now transfer to your frame without the sedation of The Dream that you needed before.
46:52 Torid is actually broken, but people would not understand you if see you using it until you shred 10k lvl with it. Definitely good mr, gotta roll ofc
Very important: the choices you can make are NOT good vs evil. It’s sol (the sun) vs lua (the moon). Think of it as things like passion, righteous fury, and fire vs peace, apathy, and quiet
Remember what Hunhow said to Lotus: _"They will call you riven."_ _"Those Orokin who would carve weapons from our bones."_ The sentients adapt and now you can adapt their power to your weapons.
Orokin were masters at genetic manipulations and Dax were genetically altered to have great power, but were spliced with loyalty gene to never go against Orokin. Grineer also were once slaves to Orokin - race of clones designed to be common foot soldiers and work force, but after Orokin fell and their cloning technologies were gone to time, Grineer started to fell to DNA degradation. They are clones of clones of clones, constatly in race with decay, held together by crude augmentations. Which makes Grineer Queen situation as ironic as it gets - Great Orokin, stuck in a costant race against decay, changing bodies from one rotting corpse to another, untill you comes up.
Doesn't make sense though. Presumably she could take any one's body, don't think there's any thing in the lore that suggests otherwise. Yeah she would definitely want the tenno, but before then she coulda took any one. Dunno why she wants only Grineer before that.
@@Solvernia its also very likely that to avoid being tracked for trafficking, the queens would have likely relied on grineer "offspring" as their hosts for over a thousand years, which is why they look as bad as the rest of the grineer do. they couldn't just snatch kids off the streets because not only would it become a very public incident, it would also expose the fact that the queens are more than just myth, since who else would need children other than orokin survivors.
@@Solvernia it's a command ship that still requires outside help. Presumably there are still plenty of ships going to and from it like any other base. So yeah nah don't think that's why
@@tonysmith9905 Yeah Grineer have countless ships going all over the place, it's nothing special. I don't think you're getting if they are kidnapping people that is going to attract attention. People will be hiring Corpus, Tenno, or any independent whoever to find out where their people are going
The end song of The War Within is called "Your Decisions Make You," and it is my second most listened to song in the entire Warframe series. Keith Power is incredible. I can't believe you got a Torid riven NOW of all times. It's not very useful now, but in a later quest you'll be able to access a system that can make a Torid a VERY strong weapon. Hang onto that and look out for the *Angels.*
It's really nice to watch someone actually understand what's going on (more or less). I know he's getting help from chat but often at key story points Mactics will ask exactly the question it's leading you to, unprompted. Watching a new player make the right connections and start asking questions more experienced Tenno already know the answers to is super fun.
This was insane to play along with. Really interesting and am happy i can see the war within reaction as well. My riven activation kinda sucks so i hope to learn how to get more
The fact that your first riven mod is from the Torid it’s and incredible good luck. You got a riven for one of the best weapons in the game in the late game, or you can sell it for plat because it’s pretty expensive. Good video.
so want to point out the wheel doesn't show good and evil but more represents yin and yang. ideally their should always be balance. in the case of your first choice holding out hope well positive could lead to your death. but cruelly killing the other people well evil would ensure your survival. their is no right answer just pick what feels the most right to you
Having this on my second monitor and randomly hearing the dropped line "yo my operator's lips are looking juicy" is WILD brother...but agreed (after unpausing the video after you said that) I thought we was talking about lotus shit lol
Riven Mod name consists of the Weapon it meant for + the positive stats on the riven itself. So in case you feeling extra challenged you can take guessing game of riven positive stat before even checking the mod description by the names.
Now you can get the Kuva Karak. The innate element is determined by the Warframe that kills the potential Kuva Litch. Also here is a tip for the Chains of Harrow and the Sacrifice quests. Slot in Specters they will serve as a distraction for enemies in those quests when they are deployed.
Ok, so IMPORTANT: That Torid riven in itself is rather trash, but the fact that it's a riven for Torid is insane as you can reroll it to get better stats. Torid is the most powerful weapon after you unlock the INCARNON adapters, but this mechanic is pretty endgame and will require for you to unlock the STEEL PATH. To do so you will have to 100% the map and finish both Zariman and and Duviri questlines. In short, you got an op endgame mod that you won't be able to use to its full potential until MUCH later in the game.
torid is the most powerful weapon or very high up there for MOB CLEARING specifically, against single target or adaptable enemies like archons there are better options.
"How rude!" I love The Worm Queen. She cracks me up, and the delivery of that line alone...it's also how I feel seeing this guy pull a Torid riven for his first riven ever...wtf? Dude has a whole stable worth of horse shoes up his rear, I swear! There is some small solace knowing he's got a fair bit to go before he can use it, though, the jerk! ;)
They really have to go back and buff up teshin a bit in that final fight. It's kind of a vibe killer when you 3 shot him and then he proceeds to deliver the first through third phase dialogue all while you've already downed him.
As much as I abhor the gambling addiction slot machines (riven mods) that were introduced with this update, hearing the song This is what you are swelling when using transference for the first time outside of your somatic pod was, for lack of a better term, peak. That song is permanently playing in my orbiter now and forever.

That's a very useful summary
46:52 Torid is actually broken, but people would not understand you if see you using it until you shred 10k lvl with it. Definitely good mr, gotta roll ofc
Very important: the choices you can make are NOT good vs evil. It’s sol (the sun) vs lua (the moon). Think of it as things like passion, righteous fury, and fire vs peace, apathy, and quiet
Just casually pulling up a Torid riven just like that! That’s insane use it for good!
No way bro releases his The War Within vid ON MY BIRTHDAY BRO. Much love Mac, ty for the gift 😭😭😭
Happy Birthday!
Happy birthday !
Happy birthday 🎉
Happy birthdayy!🥳🥳
Happy birthday🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Remember what Hunhow said to Lotus:
_"They will call you riven."_
_"Those Orokin who would carve weapons from our bones."_
The sentients adapt and now you can adapt their power to your weapons.
@@tonysmith9905the convenience factor plus the fact that the base is supposed to be turbo secret so trafficking people to it might draw attention
"Now you fight on two fronts, my child. The war with out, and the war within."
Bro opens his first riven and got one for the torid
The end song of The War Within is called "Your Decisions Make You," and it is my second most listened to song in the entire Warframe series. Keith Power is incredible. I remember playing this when it first dropped and being so completely floored by it. So glad to have you join the Warframe community, Mactics!
I was so sad when I didn't saw he posted another bid, but the wait will be worth it, I love watching people discover this amazing game, I have almost 5 years playing it and it's been a blast every time, and I get to recreate those moments watching you play
15:27 "Im not playing warframe right now! I'm playing operator" is 100% accurate and hilarious
This is so beautiful watching these quests all over again. Honestly knowing what I know now these quests are just so awesome how they continued this story. Absolutely love this content man. Keep it up!
The light and dark choices are more about your morality and outlook on the world, NOT good and evil
The balance of passion and logic, neither good nor evil, far more nuanced and interesting I'd say
"Tenno... Tenno... I've been trying to reach you about your car's extended warranty..."
No fucking SHOT this man rolled a torid riven on his first try wtf
Watching someone play this for the first time especially after all the changes is so fun because I played this when it first came out like 2016 I think
I was so confused by this quest when I first played it, but it's so good. The whole story, the twist, the cool new unlocks. It doesn't have a punchy reveal like other quests, but it's still one of the best in the game.
You Beheld the Truth, and now you are Beholden by the Horror. A Dark "Something-Else-Entirely" has noticed you... (Looking forward to your Chains of Harrow video!)
Warframe: Come for the varied and fantastic action-packed mission game play, stay for the incredible WTF story moments.
yo i remember watching skillups reaction to this years ago. I'm happy to see new players experiencing these story missions.
i suggested warframe in an aztecross's video but people in his comment section hated that idea for some reason😅
i hope to see more videos like this soon :D
The fact your gauss looks like savitar is actually amazing
Blud i feel like homelander having a mental breakdown seeing you get torid on YOUR FIRST RIVEN!
Can't wait to see the reaction for The Sacrifice. That one blew my mind when I first did it.
babe, wake up Mactics uploaded
(but seriously)
i love your content, seeing you play through all the content i loved and enjoyed for the first time?
its like reliving the best time ive ever had gaming and i think lots can relate to this too
what im saying is
never stop doing this!
we love you ❤
I enjoyed watching you play this quest. It has been years since I have. Still so much I not done in this game yet. Great vid!
DE really gave this man one of the 5 best rivens in the game as a "tutorial" riven
4:04 I remembered a meme..
Her: "My lips are dry.. I need some water"
Him: "Does it hurt when you walk?"
Proably not the best place to type this but I joined your community cuz of a random post about those cards you made (effin beautiful) and i stayed for the great destiny builds and your chill attitude and now seeing you branch into a game i've been playing for well over 5 years, and enjoying it so much makes me happy! I hope you continue to find love in warframe, i'm so happy you found another amazing community! keep up the good work, enjoy the story missions!
also if you do read this, who is your favorite frame so far?
Man I love the Kuva aesthetic. It's gorgeous.
My riven activation kinda sucks so i hope to learn how to get more
It'll forever be funny that, when you disarm those honor guards of their honorable melee weapon... they just pull out a fuckin' glock.
26:29 I can wait for how he'd react to one specific thing in duviri.
Mactics YOUR VEIWERS HAVE RETURNED AND WE HAVE COME TO GET THE WAR WITHIN MAAAAAAACTICS DROP ANOTHER VIDEO AND MY LIFE IS YOURS
This man Teshin loves standing on hills.
The fact that your first riven mod is from the Torid it’s and incredible good luck. You got a riven for one of the best weapons in the game in the late game, or you can sell it for plat because it’s pretty expensive.
Good video.
I can't wait to see what you picked to do for the "fortress." (No spoilers people!)
There's only one real answer
so want to point out the wheel doesn't show good and evil but more represents yin and yang. ideally their should always be balance. in the case of your first choice holding out hope well positive could lead to your death. but cruelly killing the other people well evil would ensure your survival. their is no right answer just pick what feels the most right to you
I CANNOT BELIEVE IT
first riven a torid riven?
and im here rotting with tenet spirex? fuck my life
This is one of the most anticipated quests to watch, welcome to tutorial 2.0
Getting a torid riven on your first riven opening is just nuts man the realization he has when he gets to incarnon adapters is gonna be wild
OH MY FUCKING GOD THERES NO WAY HE GOT A TORID RIVEN FOR HIS FIRST RIVEN IM SEETHING RIGHT NOW
I literally 100 riven mods, and I've never gotten one for torrid. my dude is blessed.
Good to see you Matics
Literally grinding for base gauss and staying so hyped i can't sleep
Having this on my second monitor and randomly hearing the dropped line "yo my operator's lips are looking juicy" is WILD brother...but agreed
(after unpausing the video after you said that) I thought we was talking about lotus shit lol
Nidus makes the war within feel like watching a universe form. GET HIM!
Don't worry to much about your choices being evil or good, just pick the option you like/vibe with the most :)
bro, with completing this quest, u just unleashed something else....something thats been waiting for us tennos
cant wait to see your first lich hunt
“This reminds of GoW” i LITERALLY thought the same thing, peak in Jotunheim. Wild😂
Can't wait for the sacrifice
Same exact reaction when I had to walk up that mountain. lol
WE BEATING THE STAR CHAT W THIS ONE
i cannot wait to see you play the chains of harrow, best quest in the game, its a central point to the whole warframe story
Riven Mod name consists of the Weapon it meant for + the positive stats on the riven itself. So in case you feeling extra challenged you can take guessing game of riven positive stat before even checking the mod description by the names.
I'm always so sad that there's only one episode daily, I could watch this for hours, I'll try to catch the nest stream
Dude just got a torid riven straight out the pat..
Actually needed this cuz I wasn't paying too much attention
Bro got torid as his first riven. Absolute cinema
I can't believe I slept on this game for so long. When I first played it after a Destiny burnout, this game blew my mind.
Mactic first half of this mission “WHERES MY CHEESE!!”
"I got that dog in me"
6:32 - "Not for long"
Now you can get the Kuva Karak. The innate element is determined by the Warframe that kills the potential Kuva Litch. Also here is a tip for the Chains of Harrow and the Sacrifice quests. Slot in Specters they will serve as a distraction for enemies in those quests when they are deployed.
damn, i forgot how great quests in warframe
Ok, so IMPORTANT: That Torid riven in itself is rather trash, but the fact that it's a riven for Torid is insane as you can reroll it to get better stats. Torid is the most powerful weapon after you unlock the INCARNON adapters, but this mechanic is pretty endgame and will require for you to unlock the STEEL PATH. To do so you will have to 100% the map and finish both Zariman and and Duviri questlines.
In short, you got an op endgame mod that you won't be able to use to its full potential until MUCH later in the game.
He can always sell it for big plats tho
torid is the most powerful weapon or very high up there for MOB CLEARING specifically, against single target or adaptable enemies like archons there are better options.
i screamed oh my god so loud when he pulled that torid riven holy shit
insane that he gets a torid riven for his first ever riven mod opening.
I can't wait to see him play the Whisper In The Walls quest.
Welcome to the tenno, warframe combo club, and have fun with the kuva farm for rivens
His first fucking riven mod is a torid are you kidding me. My man hit the fucking jackpot without even trying
It’s almost an hour I’m READYYYYY
"How rude!" I love The Worm Queen. She cracks me up, and the delivery of that line alone...it's also how I feel seeing this guy pull a Torid riven for his first riven ever...wtf? Dude has a whole stable worth of horse shoes up his rear, I swear! There is some small solace knowing he's got a fair bit to go before he can use it, though, the jerk! ;)
MACC this aboutta be lit
dude right before he got the riven revealed i was thinking "imagine he gets a torid riven" then i was like HOLY FUCK HE DID
Bro his progress went up faster than my mood on a payday 😭
Oh, wow. I didn't know they added that last scene with the Kuva Larvling.
I actually physically gasped at the Torid Riven
cant wait for you to play the new war
I’ve been up since 5 am waiting for this
bro pulled Torid Riben. like THE FIRST RIVEN MOD HE EVER OPENED..
CRAZY, and congrats !
im so jealous fuckkk
They really have to go back and buff up teshin a bit in that final fight. It's kind of a vibe killer when you 3 shot him and then he proceeds to deliver the first through third phase dialogue all while you've already downed him.
Bro got the torid for his first riven which literally is the strongest gun in the entire game right now. Insane luck.
Oh wow. I just realized the queen is missing her right arm. Good attention to details.
HIS FIRST RIVEN IS ON TORID, IM GONNA GO COMMIT UNALIVE
Insane how you get a Torid riven as your First Ever lmao!
As much as I abhor the gambling addiction slot machines (riven mods) that were introduced with this update, hearing the song This is what you are swelling when using transference for the first time outside of your somatic pod was, for lack of a better term, peak. That song is permanently playing in my orbiter now and forever.
I cant wait for the chains of harrow quest, mactic is going to shit his pants😂
The chains of Harrow a.k.a. Warframe horror game mode.
