Watching your videos gets me day dreaming about what I want to do on my property in the future. It also will help me know if my concrete contractor knows what he is doing and if he is doing it correctly. Thank you for that knowledge sir.
@@OdellCompleteConcrete make sure when you do decide to invest in a mini excavator. Look for excavator that can open and close your tracks. I can not express how this has saved me time and time again. We use a jcb 8018 mini. With the tracks closed completely and blade extensions closed I can squeeze through a 43” entrance
Does GREAT concrete, likes yard sales, what a man! Wow David so glad to see this awesome video it's just a joy to watch you guys work! Much appreciation always! You guys are the BEST!!!
I have some of those levels(4', 6', 8') IIRC, I purchased them from Juniors Tools(RIP) around 1990+. If you look at the level, there are two screws, one on each side of the level bubble. Those are there for re-adjusting the bubble.
Love your videos, my only comment is that it would be nice if they were videos in a series were more clearly number for binge watching, other than that love it, all the best!
Hey man. A healthy tip for ya. First. Love the tie gun. I love mine witch brings me to my next point. If your doing a big field you can tie the outsides 100% and then 50% in the field. Little fast and your not wasting so much line. But. Give it a try
Loves your work, would be mad for you to come out to Australia and come on some pours just to get a feel on how we do the same job but in such a different way! Keep up the vids can’t wait for part 2!
Your videos inspire so many ppl David keep it up you seem so humble man! One day I’d love to you use you on my property! Probably gotta save up some more I’d rather pay for quality not some Offer up fly by night. Keep it up!!! Much love from Chino Hills!
14:06 That's not siding. It looks like the cheaper version of Trex decking material which the two big box hardware/lumber stores sell. 40 bucks a stick sounds about right.
One of the tricks I use to locate drains, waste, leech or similar is to shove an electrician's metal fish tape down it and then attach a wire locator to it and trace it that way. Sure, ya gotta make sure to clean the tape really well after locating a septic line......
Ah this is one of the jobs you did a short on about a month ago or so, near the pool equipment. I forget what the short was for tho off the top of my head.
Been watching these for awhile and after questioning some of the methods on my 1000 sqft patio forms this morning the guy straight up grabbed his stuff, pulled the forms, and quit. I guess he has enough work it was easier to leave🤔😆
I love your channel but since you mentioned the gas line issue, why are you not having utilities come out and mark before you dig? We’re in AZ and call 811 to have all lines marked. No judgement - just curious. Thanks!
What are you charging per square foot on something like this ? I’m trying to figure out what some prices are like in different states. I’d be around $10 - $14 a foot on somthing like this with all the prep and trucking plus forming and pouring.
I know it's your thing, but that's just too much concrete surrounding the house for my tastes. I always enjoy your videos! Thanks! I'll be getting my whole back yard fully excavated (approx 3000 sq ft) by the end of the month in preparation for home improvements!

Odell is honestly the reason I got into concrete 👍🏾
Right on Optimus

The footprint of concrete and house is only 30%
That was the video on how to set screed pins.
Not one bit of concrete! 😂 This is gonna be epic, waiting for episode 2👍

Just curious why didn't they put down gravel and compact it before laying out the rebar?
No need in Southern CA

Why don't you use a water spear to locate things in ground, faster and much less intrusive and less physical input ?

Drummer
Where can I rent one of those Vermeer tractors the one you stand up on and what’s the name of that rebar you’re using
Pink bar from Owens Corning.
Any tool rental has something similar.
thoughts on using a good gravel bed instead of rebar ?
I think I would go with the reiforcement if I had to choose, but it really depends where you are located.
Did part 2 get uploaded?
Yes

1 to 2 weeks
Actually, I got lucky with this one and got three loads back-to-back in two days' notice
When will be uploading the puppies and finish on this job??
Watching these videos makes me realize how bad my yards are 😂😂😂
I hear that
