Good on Francis for not just letting the casual narrative be allowed to fly. Always odd to hear a former simultaneous Ufc featherweight and lightweight champion, get labelled 'one dimensional'
He is also a great kicker with some nice Taekwondo, Karate and Kickboxing kicks, what is Shannon talking about. OMG :D
Conor actually impressed ne alot with his ground game in the khabib fight, he did alot better than almost everyone else, just bc khabib is exceptionally good doesn't mean conor is bad
Most of khabibs success happened after the knockdown too, people are stupid to judge conors grappling off one fight and we know most do

Good on Francis for setting the record straight with this casual, because if he actually watched fights he would see the variety of attacks Connor uses from punches elbows kicks and he has a great ground game if he didn’t he wouldn’t have stuffed most of khabib takedowns or got up from Chad menses takedowns or have been able to take Max Holloway down multiple times and hold him down 😂😂
Shannon's wrong about Connor. Hes not 1 dimensional. He has good jiu jitsu. He just cant wrestle and it saps his cardio. Shannon needs to watch early connor.
Conor has great wrestling defense. The only person to ever take Conor down and hold him there was Khabib. He fought Eddie Alvarez and Chad Mendez, who are both great wrestlers, and neither one could keep him down.

@haezeushawkins436 Shay has probably only watched 2 Conor fights in his life. Floyd and Khabib ones. He came to the conclusion that all Conor can do is punch, based on the limited amount of research he did. If I told Shannon that all Jerry Rice could do is catch a go route, he would call me a casual too.

one thing ngannou metion about is very interesting - fighthing IQ, instead of vigorious training and that's what you need to be a champ.
I think Ronda was great at her time but the women’s sport was so new and moved so fast ! She also got away from grappling. Mcgregor is the real deal. Albeit he hasn’t shown this but I still think if conor can focus he can still have good fights. Does he win a title who knows but I want to just see him back in there.

People seem to forget this. Then won 154 belt. Imagine khabib jumling uo 2 weight divisions, fair olay to conor. He never ever turns down a fight.

Compare Conor to the other “elite” lightweights. Dustin, Olivera, Islam, even Michael chandler. Conor is definitely one dimensional. He’s a striker with only 1 sub under his belt.

If you can impose your game on another fighter, chances are , you are gonna win the fight.

The key is not allow your opponent to get their way.
Fury cannot impose his will on Ngannou because Ngannou is stronger and can take his punch and disrupt his timing with south paw stances and didn't fall for his feints.
But Fury is clearly the better boxer. But it's irrelevant if he can't impose his game on Ngannou. That's why Fury resorted to doing MMA in a boxing match LOL
