DC refused to give Francis a title shot when they were active at the same time. Thats why Francis didnt get a shot until Stipe took the belt back from DC but you Jones haters ignore that.
I don’t think either guy was scared of the other but I definitely believe that the UFC was manipulating the information that both were getting about each other. And for the people thinking Francis is scared, why would he be especially since Jon hasn’t been nearly as good as he was pre-suspension and Francis was in his prime but got injured.
Then why didn’t he signed the contract? He was looking for more money that’s just facts . He said he wanted more money than Jon which was never gonna happen in the ufc. If he was looking to cement his name he should have fought anyways 5m was enough .

Also he wanted to able to have his own sponsors which would have probably ended up paying him more than what he would make in the fight but the UFC wouldn’t allow it. He had legit issues that other fighter are scared to address because they need the money.

^This. People don't take into account that Jones is an unnatural heavy weight. A combination of water weight and fat. Francis is essentially a natural (super) heavy weight of pure muscle.
Technique only takes you so far outside of your weight class and strength level before those techniques begin to lose their advantages.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see Jon Jones get absolutely dominated in a fight against Francis. Not because Francis is necessarily the better fighter, but because the sheer size difference is too much for Jones. Note: Size, not height.
Jones is out of his prime though. Dude is 36. That's why I don't really care for this fight if it happens or not. I already know Francis is getting an old Jones. Not the same.

I think if Jones went into a fight against Ngannou with the idea of taking Ngannou to the ground, Jones is guaranteed to lose. I honestly think Jones would actually have a better chance at standing up against Francis, and kicking, essentially breaking Francis down at the knees.

First off, your point is silly. MMA math doesn't work like that. Jones is a better grappler than Francis, so obviously he'd beat Cyrill Gane faster with grappling. Francis beat Alistair Overeem in like a minute by KOing into oblivion... you think Jones would be able to do the same to him, or would he probably just beat him in a decision? Or what about Dominique Reyes? Jones barely managed to beat him in a super close decision (many say Reyes should've won that), yet both Jan and Jiri KO'd Reyes... but I'd bet my house that Jones would beat them both with grappling very easily...
These comparisons are meaningless... if you understood MMA you'd know there's a famous saying - styles make fights.
Secondly, Francis, who is not a grappler, had an injured knee in that fight so he was FORCED to grapple in order to win what was the last fight on his contract, so he'd become a free agent with momentum behind him... He literally couldn't take chances in that fight because he was compromised and if he lost it would've meant he'd lose the chance for the Tyson Fury fight.

Exactly. It's essentially a natural light heavy weight vs a natural super heavy weight. The difference is size (not height) and strength are going to be unlike anything Jon has ever felt in another opponent.
Jon is on record saying that when he grabbed his brother's arm, who was an NFL running back, his brother literally just out muscled him, and Jon said he had never felt strength like that. That's what an entire fight against Ngannou would be like, and Ngannou being bigger than his brother.
Jon is trying to keep his loss record at a minimum. After the Tyson Fury fight, Jon definitely doesn't want to fight Ngannou. Jon is a cherry picker.

You're insane. Francis vs Jones would be astronomically bigger than McGregor vs Khabib because both Francis and Ngannou are more well known to casuals. Ngannou now because of his recent fight with Fury. And that's the key to a big fight. Names that can bring in casuals who normally wouldn't watch either 1 of these fighters fight against a no name.
Outside of MMA fans, no one cared who Khabib was when he fought McGregor.
Jon Jones is definitely not scared of Francis. He respects his knockout power, which is why IF they would've fought? Jon's taking Francis to the mat. The fight would be over in 2.5 rounds via submission. I love Francis, His learning curve is ridiculous, his story is incredible, but he's not on Jon's Level with the grappling and wrestling. Jon isn't going to stand up with Francis, knowing that he's packing heat in them hands. If guys weren't so casual with their fandom, you'd know that Jon has beat waaaaayyy better overall SKILLED fighters who are ABSOLUTE legends compared to Francis. Held the LHW Belt for a total of 7 years, Francis was HW Champ for 10 months with 1 title defense. Jones had 13 SUCCESSFUL ONES against way better comp, Shogun, Machida, Rampage, Vitor Belfort, Cormier are legends of the SPORT, not just the UFC. Francis beat Overeem and Stipe, those are the only 2 notable wins on his record. One can argue that the redemption of knocking out Stipe after losing to decision to him at UFC 220 is the highlight of his MMA career, and in my opinion is. I respect my Cameroonian brother's confidence, but he's older than Jon, less skilled and less experienced against superior talent. If he stayed to fight Jon before he left UFC? It'd be an L. Lastly, Jon was absolutely right for wanting both men to get paid 8 figures! That is the best SUPER FIGHT for the casual combat sport fan to date! Without question!

Ngannou’s demands were met with his contract and boxing fight. The only thing Ngannou wanted was to box before fighting Jones. UFC said “no”. You fight Jones first then you get boxing matches. Reality is if Ngannou was to lose to Jones in ufc then his boxing matches and boxing paycheck would go into jeopardy. Ngannou realized if Jones takes his Heavyweight belt then he is likely to lose internet from the Boxing business.
