Every time I watch the 2nd place clip I just think "when is he coming out?!" and then when he comes out of that beast i'm just like "holy **** that was insane! he got more time in there than i will get in all the barrels of my whole life!!!!" Jamie your an absolute legend congrats dude

Totally psyched with the break down by Jamie on the the commit, work, and finish on the wave to success. For someone that has no idea about how magical and addictive surfing is in real life it gave me a taste of the danger and excitement play by play. Great job Justin, Jackson, and the rest of the crew. I totally love watching the surfing videos show cased by Jamie, his crew, and other world class legends that hang out with him for a day of fun on the waves. These Psych sessions are so awesome. I’ve been waiting for a vlog like this from you saying you won, or the official Surfline wave of the winter video, since you got the wave you did claim w/ your fist right when you came out. I knew immediately when I saw that clip, you won. It was just a waiting game to the end of the winter. I believe that wave and the way you rode it is better than all of the waves of the winter since they started officially doing wave of the winter and the $25k check. I thought the wave in the first clip you played was going to be up there as well because it was super technical too and a bit longer of a barrel, but Hands down, the wave you did claim could have only been ridden by you. It was heavy so, so deep, so technical & So sick!!!! When I saw that wave way back when you first played it I must have hit rewind like 50 times. I just couldn’t believe how well you maintained control and came out of the barrel so so so late!! Everything about that wave and the way you rode it was off the wall psycho. My hats off to you Jamie. I honestly can’t even imagine what that wave was really like. Sickest backhand barrel riding I think I’ve ever seen!!!! I know this comment was long but their aren’t even enough words to describe how psyched your wave got me andI usually don’t use the word psyched. All winter Whenever it was barreling I’d watch that clip before I paddled to get me more psyched. BTW; “ITS WHAT DREAMS ARE MADE OF” is the exact words(word for word) me and my friends would use when we get an amazingly sick barrel. Stay well Jamie. Keep motivating us all!!!

I took 1 drop at Pipe when I was 22. I got smashed into ground beef!.
The drop was so steep it was crazy.I remember watching my feet leaving my board in slow motion, next thing I know my back is sliced up and I'm sitting on the beach shaking my head! That was the 1st and only Pipe experience in 1981!🏄🏽♂️🤙❤
