The reason why Dragapult’s Phantom Dive was able to spread 6 damage counters is because it isn’t definite damage. Damage counters are an effect of an attack. For reference, consider Sableye from Lost Origin - Manaphy doesn’t stop that because you’re placing damage counters. A relevant example is if your opponent has Mimikyu in play. Their “safeguard” ability reads that your V/Ex pokemon can’t do damage to it. However, Alolan Exeggutor ex’s Swing Sphene attack can knock out the Mimikyu. Also, if you were to power up a Mew ex and attack the Mimikyu with it, you’d be able to knock it out, as you’re copying the Mimikyu’s attack that places 7 damage counters on the Defending Pokemon. Hope this helps!
Would a singular Professor turo be a good addition to this? Im not too familar with how to build decks, but I feel like it would really help alleviate situations where your mons that you want to be in the discard end up in play due to a shitty first hand (see third game). You would have won way earlier had you been able to pick it up and get it in discard and use its attack

I would like to think so, i was really hoping they would take the bait on the Kyurem lol. What would you take out in place of the Turo?
