Dear Mr. Kipchoge, I can't wait to see what you and your Kenyan team accomplish at the Olympics this year. I started running a while ago and I realised that I liked it, so I kept on running...then I started watching you at the Rio Olympics, the 2018 Berlin Marathon, the Ineos Sub-2 project, the Tokyo Olympics (I could go on!)...I listened to you speak about how no human is limited...and I fell in love with running. I have suffered deep hardships in my life since 2020 and I can honestly say that if it weren't for you, your character, your charisma, your motivation and your nature, I wouldn't still be running today, you are a hero to me and I still tie my shoelaces every day because of you and the motivation I find in your speeches, in the determination you show on every start line and in the humbleness you show at every finish line. Thank you for all you have given me and world of running, the sport wouldn't be the same without you. (I sincerely hope that someone at @KenyanAthleticsTV will be able to pass this message on to you before you depart for Paris 2024) Good luck and godspeed Eliud Kipchoge!

I can only assume (hope?) that there was a moment of mourning/recognition for Kelvin Kiptum before this particular camera started rolling. So young, so much potential for Kenya & the wider world of running...

Thank you for putting prayers 🙏 into your consideration.
The goal is not individual of course. There are a few nations who want to take Kenya's crown as the middle and long distance king.
I pray for bronze, silver and gold for the women and men in Kenya.
3,2, and 1 in that order of importance can be won. He who takes Kenya to 3 will pull 2 and 2 will pull 1. That is the way you always do it. And that's why yours is the best nation on foot in this world.
    Bravo...what a fine team!

How did B Kosgei make this team ahead of Jepkosgei and Wanjiru. The men's team is great though Chebet would have been my choice. However Mutiso is always in the frame and never overcommits. Asking for 1,2,3 is a bit greedy but what do the officials know about racing at this level?

Because they know the next 3 months will be hell, emotionally and physically. It's not a major where if something goes wrong you cancel it and run in a few months. The stress every little pain/soreness must cause when it being an issue means missing the Olympics and maybe everyone's one chance of glory. Iv'e stressed over races that no one even knew I was signed up for because of injuries I was battling now imagine having a whole nation expecting greatness and knowing there is no room for any mistakes in the next 3 months.
