Yo same here, though I did just discover this channel recently from that video being recommended to me! I've also been watching a few more videos after that and I think I found another one of my favorite channels now! Just subscribed as well
Canada looks like Alaska but from another dimension. Whenever I drove across Canada to the states it trips me out lmao. This prolly doesn’t make sense if u don’t know much about AK, or the Canades.
I have no intention of ever mountain biking, but these videos are great. Just raw, minimally edited footage. a breath of fresh air from clickbaity titles and heavily edited videos. Please continue posting these!
Do they make tires almost specifically for extra slippery conditions and if so do you ride different tires during the rainy season? I imagine you could adjust your tire pressure a little but not all that much as it would change your riding style, which seemed to be the same. Excellent riding on those conditions!
Some manufacturers offer soft compound tires, although I ride the standard version. Tire availability is pretty limited right now, so you have to take what you can get for the time being. I'll usually drop 2psi in each tire during the winter.
@@ddangerousddave what’s your normal pressure in the dry? I run 40 on the front 43 on the back, and it barely rains where i live, so i never quite know how much decrease in pressure would work (i cant really do back to back tests to get the feel since wet conditions are 1/10th of the time on a rainy year)
As someone with 2 joint diseases and 3 herniated vertebrae (2 acute) I love watching these. Sometimes my hands sweat just watching him. I'd be in screaming pain by the bottom from all that jolting and vibration. Awesome vids
No part of me would ever going on an actual mountain bike ride but this is so interesting. Living in a city, I always see mountain bikes in stores and it never crosses my mind that people actually ride them in mountains. Thank you for sharing.
Nice as always Dave! I watched Dale’s vid first and wondered what all the hoopla was about on that jump you and Braden took. Thanks for slowing it down to show the death root. Way to wiggle around it!
Stumbled upon your videos by accident a week ago and I've been addicted ever since. I never even knew I was into this sort of thing but now I really want to try it. I dont think Australia has that much in the way of trails but if I ever holiday to Canada, giving it a go is definitely on my bucket list
Man, I saw many great mountain bikers but your skills are really impressive, I have to congrats to you for reaching that level. Keep enjoying with your friends, the nature, and bikes 🍻👍Saludos!!
Man that stuff at 1:33 looked like absolute death. I ride in the northeast and this time of year is a lot of wet roots, wet leaves, hidden rocks (by the leaves) but We've got nothing on that. Thanks for the video Dave.
Are you using Standard (low) or High Bitrate? If you're on low you might get less pixelation in the dark switching to High because it'll spend more time processing each frame at the cost of using more space.
Might I ask what kind of suspension setup you run? Like pretty normal sag? (25-30%), Lots or little compression, fast rebound? I'm mainly curious because your suspension is very quiet on a lot of G outs and always looks buttery smooth. Thanks!
Hey man, I'm sure it's unlikely to get a response from you, but I just stumbled across your videos and I'm blown away! I'm a car enthusiast, and i've always dreamed of being a rally driver, and I've heard that one of my favorite rally drivers has recently gotten into trail riding. It seems so awesome to me, it's as close as you can get to that kind of experience, and I wanted to ask, how did you get into doing this stuff? Also, how long did it take you to learn how to ride that good!! Awesome content man, stay safe on the trails out there!
I've never been mountain biking but it looks so much fun. It's probably too late now for me anyway but I can at least enjoy your videos. And what a beautiful forest!
Me and my brother used to ride a trail in Abbotsford, BC. Not sure if it had a name or not. But boy it was a blast didn't need a dime. Just a bike N some energy and we could have all the fun litrally in the world. Something very therapeutic about the sounds of a bike helping you get down a hill well you have tons of fun.
Another great vid of some amazing looking trails. Have to say, at least it's soaking wet and not just wet, should be a bit better surface like that. Notice that most of the trail surface is good and your tyres don't seem to get clogged up with mud, so guessing low/no clay content in it, here we have so much clay it sucks when wet, unless absolutely soaking that it's basically water. Guessing that you're running MaxxGripp compound F&R on your setups.? Have to say, vids are a lot nicer to watch now without those angry hornets, curious which hub you are running now? Know it can't be an i9, CK, Hope, guessing maybe it's an Onyx. Oh and love the call out on Dale on that tech climb, at the start of Expresso - LMAO.
We're lucky not to sticky, peanut butter-esque mud here that's for sure. I'm running MaxxTerra. Would like to try MaxxGrip, but my local shop is out of stock at the moment. For the hub, I'm actually still running the I9, but I added more grease a few weeks ago. It's probably muffled by the sound of splashing water haha.
That's interesting on the hub ands being able to quiet it down so much. I've tried in the past with the previous gen i9 hubs and you still get a set of quieter, but still angry bees. Did a search and found NSMBs Andrew Major has a set that he also managed to quiet down a lot using grease over the oil. Were yours oiled or greased initially?
Thank u very much for all that videos! I have love to ride bikes, but now my body dont allow me that anymore... I just can ride on streets in a slow tempo, not more. That videos are so wonderful for me! Thank u! Go on, have fun... also have fun for people like me and show us that wunderful view!
You can ride all year round. Occasionally the snow comes low down and into the city, and I don't ride then. Just missed two weekends last winter. Seymour is lower elevation (where these videos were shot) than Fromme.
Wish we had an app that would show speed along your route and elevation. Always thought it'd be cool to have a little elevation and speed timeline at the bottom of vids. Speed could just be by color and elevation would be a simple line going up or down.
I really like to watch the Norco crew😂 can you please recommend a rain jacket that breathing well. I'm looking for a winter jacket that vents well and are water proof.
I've been using an Endura Mt500 jacket for a few years now and actually just got their most recent version. Fits a bit slimmer than the old one and uses more durable material. They're not cheap, but between living in Vancouver and riding MTB, hiking, and generally spending time outdoors, it's been worth it.
In a perfect world, I would be into gaming, but I just don't have the time these days. Aside from occasionally playing Resident Evil or Rainbow Six on my buddy's old PS3, I can't say I do much else. The last system I owned was a Super Nintendo lol.
@@ddangerousddave It makes sense not to have time for stuff like video games. That being said though your videos do remind me of a game called Descenders which is a biking game, not made by Ubisoft. I figured that if you were still gaming you would either recommend the game or be sponsored by the developers of it, though I would also assume that you don't generally accept sponsors either, even if you were still into gaming which is totally fine
Serious question; how do you keep your massive balls from getting stuck in the spokes? Or do you have a bike-chariot especially designed to mitigate said issue? Great stuff my man, much love from Sweden!
This is simultaneously relaxing and stress-inducing to watch.

Exactly!!!
I know exactly what you mean
Yes. Something very relaxing about the sounds the bike and the mountains create together for me.
ddangerous ddave is now dangerous dave after the “Severed D” trail
This is a solid joke and more people need to see it.
that’s perfect😂
He actually did it what the fuck
Dude I think this comment pushed him to do it. He... he severed his D...
What a legend lmao
You know a course is rough when even the bike is screaming in agony...
Playing in the mud-grown up version.
That’s literally just mudding
Every time he laughs, I can't help but picture Ralph in the back of the bus giggling and saying "I'm in danger!"

This is too stressful to watch!
Incredible riding, truly.
Hope your channel keeps growing and you can afford to hit the Arizona deserts one day and Utah. Get a mix of scenery gathered up.
I would love to hit both those places one day! I've seen footage of some incredible trails out there.
I watched Dale's vid. U are the best wet rider ever. Your POV doesn't do u justice. Sick ride Dave🤙
Thank you!!
It would be cool to have a speedometer so I could see how fast you go during certain parts. :)
Love it, man, stay safe out there!! I'll be showing this to my friends definitely!
Love every single one of your rides. Honestly, I have no idea where you get the confidence & experience to be able to do this.

I love the way the trees look at 4:24 and onward; so atmospheric

Can't be the only one binge watching his videos now lol. Relaxing but nerve-wracking!
Sooooo slippery, but masterfully handled! Man, what a ride!!!👍👍👍
I love how this guy is always so giddy when riding these trails
Funny, rode all those trails today. And yes it was wet. Much better than summer dust. Such a blast. Good tires and Cushcore help.
Saw one of your videos as a random recommended one yesterday and I’ve not been able to stop watching since. This is amazing! Well done!

Absolute rush thru a beautiful landscape! What a scream!
Hi Dave, I already asked Dale this, but what Jacket are you wearing here? Looks comfy and I need some winter gear haha
I believe they run Endura MT500. I have one of them too and its the most waterproof piece of clothing I own!

Nice Dave! Nice trail, gonna be my first proper Autumn/ Winter trails this year, gonna be fun!
Another awesome video Dave! Mountain biking in Canada (probably Vancouver) is definitely on my bucket list
A worthy item to add for sure! Between Vancouver, Squamish and Whistler, you can make an excellent trip out of it.
Watching these rainy, slippery videos gives me the exact same sensation as when I accidentally misstep down the stairs.
oh man tnt and neds is insane in wet, love those trail in summer time hehe
Ned's should be renamed to "A River Runs Through It" in the winter
@@ddangerousddave ohh really man???
Cool to see your lines vs Dale's lines.
I love conditions like this, we rarely get them in Brisbane Australia.

I'm not sure why I hadn't subscribed till now. Hope you had a good season!
Such an amazing looking place
Great footage, what a trail - Is that a chest-mounted cam?
I mount the camera to my chin bar. Being mounted to your head offers much better stabilization and gives you a nice angle too.
Do you change any of your setup for the wet season ? Ie less psi in the tires etc
Great video
How do you maneuver rocks going at that high rate of speed? Mesmerizing!
So much chunk! Good ride/vid!
