In this video I have explained how to cook millets in pressure cooker for beginners.
In this video I have explained 4 types of millets namely barnyard millet, little millet, foxtail millet and kodo millet.
I have used 1/3 cup millets to show as example you can use any quantity.
Water proportion must be 1 cup millet to 2 cups water
Pressure cooker must be 4 whistles upto 1 cup and must increase beyond that
    All millets recipes are under

I have been following Nees kitchen for over two years now and I have tried a lot of unconventional recipes and they turned out sensational. Of the many sessions I took from her, millets was the best as she changed the perspective towards millets being "just diet" food to tasty and easy to make dishes! Thank you for all the guidance and offline support.

Hi Mam, Clear Explanation with minute details. I was usually very skeptical in cooking millets often it used to be mushy or dry.. So I used to prepare only millets dosa and idli.
Now I tried your method millet rice came out very well.. It was very soft and fluffy till night .. Now I am cooking millets daily.
My 6 year old & 2 year old liked it.
Thank you so much. Keep up the good work❤

I have been using millet rice as a staple for more than a year. Usually if I cook via regular boiling water in open pot method, I will overcook and it may become conjee... Because I forgot with laptop work 😂... I don't know the water proportion in the cooker method and the video helped me to fix that. Have tried the recipe in induction and it turned out well. Big time saver and easy to make.. thanks @neeskitchen 👍🏼

I mean, if I eat one cup of cooked rice for lunch, will 1 cup of foxtail millet be the same in terms of volume/filling? Or, do I substitute one cup of rice with lesser or more millets for the same filling?
