I have like crazy boss ideas
Like the Godskin Emperor .
Once a former king but found love for the godskin queen and is gifted by malikeht for killing her but the emperor refused so he fled to [insert place name here] and jailed himself there so no one can find and kill him for using malikehts gifted power .
I want to see an overhaul mod do something with the pots and perfumes, cause I really want to do an actually viable perfumer build in Elden Ring that doesn't fully require a lot of grinding. An idea I had was making a perfumer npc who is trying to recover from being depraved with the help of the player, and eventually becomes a merchant that the player can use to get entirely new perfumers cookbooks/perfume recipes as well as ingredients for mostly perfumes but some for pots as well.
It’s a cool ass mod and all but isn’t illegal to locked a mod behind patreon?

Yes it is, companies have sent cease and desist orders before for the exact same things. This is cut content from another fromsoft game they have “remade.” It’s only thing to try to charge for mods you have made from scratch yourself, but to have taken content that the devs made and didn’t release and then charge for it is extremely frowned upon. The practice of a paid for mod is already a frowned upon idea regardless.

I like how you took notes from previous duo bosses from the souls games and made sure one was passive, but still made its presence known while the other is more aggressive and keeps you equally distracted without constantly making you dodgeroll your life away. Hate how Elden rings bosses don’t function well together when you have more than one on the field at the time.
Crystilian bosses functioned perfectly together, but people still complained until fromsoft nerfed them into the ground. multi bosses do not work because a large portion of the population can not multi task to save their life.
Fair. I forgot their existence only because you can perma flinch/backstab/parry them effectively without much issues. I can only think of a handful of times they would overwhelm someone only because they might just chain attacks over and over if not staggered
Because those bosses are made for you to summon, it's a mechanic that players like you refuse to use, because IMA TRUE SOULS VETERAN I don't need summons pride.
@@chito2701 Meanwhile me which his first souls like game was Code Vein: pretending not to be used to summon an NPC to help in boss fights, so Dark souls "veterans" don't bully me.
Jokes aside, yeah the first souls like game I dared to try was Code Vein, I loved the rush of killing hard bosses and survive difficult areas too much that it pushed me, to try the real deal (I have played DS 1 and 3, I have to play the 2 one of these days XD). But I agree in the stament that ER bosses aren't well balanced to summons.
If you compare Code Vein with Elden Ring (I make the comparison with Code Vein as a Dark souls like game designed with "Summons" in mind), in how the AI handles the presence of other entities in the arena, I have to say that in my opinion Bosses in Elden Ring don't react that bad to the presence of your invocation (I mean their IA doesn't brake and they can still react and attack in a competent way), but you can exploit it a lot, specially if you have a super focused and efficient build, you just need some seconds of distration to totally mop the floor with many bosses (those in tight arenas or with a lot of AOE kill your summon easily and force you to 1v1).
But in that respect I feel like in a game like Code Vein were it was much more estimated that you will have a NPC around all the time, bosses are better designed to have that in consideration (specially duo bosses), in fact there are bosses in Conde Vein which are extremely hard without your NPC companion (because they attack you without much rest) and there is a Duo boss (the only duo boss in the game) which is almost imposible, you need to be extremely buffed and built to confront the dual boss in Code Vein on your own.
But in Code Vein the only Duo boss you face is interesting and it is actually a reference to Dragon Slayer and Executioner duo in dark souls, while in Elden Ring there are some Duo bosses which are BS, like that time you have to face a Bastard sword and a perfumer in a really close arena and they don't even give you time to summon, for me that is a much worse fight than the other with the God Skin Duo (because it is openly mediocre and bad designed, they just put two enemies who are hard to kill and have a lot of AOE damage together in a tight space, just to make the player suffer for the heck of it).
Sorry for the essay, but as someone who is just interested enough and have tried From Software games but is not a blind fan, this is what I think about duo bosses and summoning in Elden Ring, in conclusion some bosses specially the God Skin duo aren't as bad as people say, but for me it is true that many bosses aren't totally well balanced for summons.
@chito2701 I mean, that's part of the issue. The fact that some bosses (duo bosses) were designed with summoning in mind, when many prefer to actually fight a boss and learn its moveset. Which is not exactly the same experience when you have a spirit summon with you.

I was honestly hoping for that tbh🥵 was the first thought I had!! Still an epic boss regardless but they deserve a second phase similar to demon prince!
The mod at first wasn't so interesting, now i have to say it is probably the coolest & most creative mods out there currently.

well both of them are from bloodborne, they are cut content which had most of their animations already semi present, so its not like they didnt do work with them, but its not like they made them from scratch either
basically saying, they are only as good as they are, because they were already semi-made by from soft
@@draw2death421 a lot of what you say, is pure speculation, the fact that there are fire related stuff still remaining in bloodborne, means that they are not just random stuff that was added because it was made
there is no indication at all, that "There used to be an area in bloodborne that was suposed to house things like Keeper of the Old Lords, Watchdog of the Old Lords, Beast Possesed soul, Fire Heretic and these 2 demons"
the fact that they are in the chalices, and they do fit (since thats why they put them there) means there really is little reason to think they were meant to be in a different area
as far as i am aware (and i think i am very aware) there is nothing connected to "this area" you are referencing, it is basically spreading misinformation as fact for no real reason
@@draw2death421 Okay so, do not worry i truly understand everything you said and your point of view, however, there are key missing points you are apparently not having in mind.
The things you are missing, are mostly the pthumerians, most notably the pthumerian elder who uses fire basically the most, not to mention his teleport which is very unique, being tied to nothing but the tapping of his cane, no one else in any other from soft game teleports like that (like having no special direct effect, for example queen yharnam with blood).
Pthumerians in general, are much more than people make them out to be, they are superhuman as the game says, very likely from the fact that they are in many ways tied to Great Ones.
Manipulating fire for that reason has to do with blood, making it even more apparent with Lady Maria (which makes sense since she is from cainhurst, who are pthumerians who came to the surface).
The keeper and the watchdog has it in their name who they are connected to, the old lords. Now, who they were, is not given to us, for one reason or another. I think it would be fitting to mention here that there is basically only evidence supporting the fact that bloodborne is in the same universe as demon's souls, even without cut content. (won't get into it now, but there is a lot)
I did not say they were not connected, what i said was the fact that there was no indication of an area that was tied to the fire related enemies.
What you are missing here, is an entirely different game, namely dark souls 3 which was developed at the same time as bloodborne Their development was very tied together, making it so that some ideas from bloodborne get used in dark souls 3. So what i said, the fact that there is no cut bloodborne area that would have had these fire enemies is still very true, not only because there literally is no cut content related to it, but because the ideas they did have for fire areas, were used in dark souls 3.
My understanding of how things fit together, is that early bloodborne was a pretty messy sequence of events, which made it so at some point, they just had to make things fit differently later (as seen in the project beast trailer, things were moved around a LOT). That is not to say, that there never could have been any plans for a fire area in bloodborne, because sure at some point, but to say that there are is no clear evidence of there being one, since there is no cut content connected to it, but again, that is likely to be because it was used in dark souls 3 or just deleted entirely.
And to close off i would recommend diving deep into the bloodborne-wiki (specifically only that one), because it is the single best wiki for any game ever, and it has more written about bloodborne than you could imagine.
If there aren’t any other plans you guys should do a Godskin trio but they only have 1 HP or so. Just something funny with that fight.

I love this concept of the Helphen, I hope we can explore it in the DLC and speak to characters we lost along the way in the base game. You guys also did an exceptional job at creating all the elements of the boss fight and balancing the duo, excited for what's to come

While it looks very neato, I strongly feel that you should make the health drain move more intuitive because why would the player assume that the pillar of light, which harms them, protects them from the health drain?

I hope you guys try to tune up or overhaul the easy bosses in the caves and dungeons. Having these sorts of bosses is rad, but having the slog along the way isn't.
Can both their Heads be turned into masks you can wear?
Idk if thats possible, but you could maybe tap into the whole Rememberance system for that... or just give their Set to Enia after defeating them.

The mod looks amazing. My only complaint is about the attack where they try to drain the player's soul.
Firstly, I don't know how much time they spend in the air but having the bosses out of the player's reach for a long time might damage the flow of the fight.
Secondly, to prevent that attack, the player needs to stand in the middle of the tree. The issue is, the player is going to avoid the tree because it drains the player's health whenever they walk through it. So how are they going to know that they're supposed to stand in the middle of the tree whenever the bosses do that attack?
I think a better counter to that attack would be standing behind the tree to cause the bosses to attack the tree(which is their own source of power), therefore causing them to lose health and get knocked down.
In my oppinion this way, the flow of the fight won't be broken and the player will still feel like they're progressing the fight instead of just waiting for the bosses to get somewhere they can reach.

Communicating to the player "don't stand here!" but then requiring them to stand in that exact spot a bit later seems contradictory
Yeah the way we tried to convey the switch was: whenever you're in the hp drain areas you have a visual effect applied on you that makes you become semi-transparent. The idea was players will notice that being inside the tree usually does that, but then when doing the attack they'll notice they get the effect when outside the tree so they'll think to swap. Eye of the storm type of deal I guess. It was a bit of a concern in designing this but we also didn't want to blind the player with vfx on the ground to show that the only safe spot was the middle. Idk if we did a good enough job but since this video shows the solution I guess the mystery is already a bit spoiled anyway :/

Convergence is free and far superior. The Dark Souls 3 Convergence mod is one of my top five all time mods, and now Elden Ring Convergence is out in Alpha, and it is already a WHOLE NEW GAME..
Far more ambitious than this, and they took the "each class starts in different areas", Right from turn.
Except convergence adds like 20 new weapons with INSANE new weapons arts, dozens of new spells, making each damage type (bleed, shock, ice, etc). Have a larger array of spells.
And you get those spells 3-5 at a time by following your" path".
Which is basically a series of bosses that reward you with the spells in your class. Starting with an easy boss for several novice spells, and so on, until you finally acquire the best spells for your build.
Try it.
I'll give this a whirl, because I love ER and it's probably still an incredible mod.

Man, you guys got a lot of hate from the convergence fans, but idk if this costs money. Your mods are absolutely game changing. I havent played any of them yet but by the time i make the transition there is goong tk be a nice grip of content. You guys are almost into paid dlc realm with all these bosses and weapons and locations.

Honestly just looking at them I can tell they they need more work, they don't have anything that seems immediately threatening to the player and they're very slow at least make the skinnier one faster and more aggressive cuz they don't really play off each other very well. They should be a bit more crazy for what they're supposed to be
