- Happy Mothers day to all mothers out there.
this week the list of work that we had to do was left a little incomplete we didn't get around to planting onions, lettuce and cabbage, we also didn't clean the church but, all is well we'll get it next week.
we are happy that at least we got cleaning kitchen and raspberries out of the way two jobs that are not that pleasurable to do.
I hope you had a lovely week wishing you all the best
#Hutterite #lifestyle
I would definitely watch a long Q&A with you. I find myself wanting a more in depth" tour" of the colony too. I find this way of life inspiring and wish more of us would work together as you all do. My church is very giving, is my home. I find that the spirit is there and we love one another for sure but I can feel a kinship with your community that I can't quite explain.
I totally agree with you. A long Q&A would be amazing.
Ok thanks for letting me know I'll collect questions and film one 😊...so feel free to fire away 😊
@@gisellewaldner9406, I have binged watched your vlogs and have loved every one of them! Tonight, I thought of something you might be interested in trying. I notice you sometimes take the opportunity to answer a question or questions your viewers have previously asked during a rest break or quieter time. It might be helpful to keep a log of the video (#, name, date posted) and question you answer then when you get a repeat question you could refer them to which vlog to watch. This would get them the answer quickly and would build your viewership 👍🏼
I smiles when I say you reading “Come From Away”. I tried for years to see the play. It finally happened last weekend. Gander, o want to go there.
Thank you for stepping out and sharing your life with us. God bless you 🙏
I am so glad you enjoyed my novel, “ Come From Away”!!!! ❤️
I just ordered from Amazon. It sounds so beautiful!!
Oh my goodness, oh wow I can't believe this I'm shaking a bit writing this I'm so excited 😊..in truth I think I have read it about four times now, I just absolutely love it. Thankyou 😊
Goodness! Well, it actually follows an earlier book called “Tides of Honour” in case you are interested! 😊
@@GenevieveGrahamAuthorI haven't read that one yet, I'll have to try and get my hands on it 😊
@@GenevieveGrahamAuthor Thank you so much! I'll get both! This s so special, finding a book this way.
I am a Christian woman in my 60s and I love the dresses and white tops. Thank you for pposting . There us not much for wholesome minded folks so you and your logs are a breath of fresh air. God bless you all.
I know. I wear that style of dress/shirt, although not as long, to church. I find myself admiring hers.
Thank you for sharing your Hutterite culture. The more people know, the more they understand.
You are so welcome, I so enjoy making them 😊
Thank you for sharing so many aspects of your life. I love how God centred your lives are, and not legalistic. It looks like you have so much freedom of choice (internet, books etc) which I wrongly assumed you wouldn't have. I am so thankful you have shared so much and helped me to understand more of your culture that I knew nothing about. You are just so sweet and blessed to live in such a love and caring community. I think many of us wish we had more of that.
God Bless you Giselle. It’s like you’re my little cousin. You have such a lovely heart... and it’s written all over your face...never loose that.
Aww that's sweet it made my smile and made my day thankyou 😊
Happy Mother's Day to all the special ladies who are Mammas in your colony too, Giselle and thank you for your wishes too.💖
😊😊😊...I'll be sure to tell them
@@gisellewaldner9406 Thank you... 💖😊😊

Yes, Please do a Q & A. Maybe do a 2 part one that is only 20 min or so for each part.
Ok then 😊
I’m getting to know your routine. The screen said Tuesday and I thought “laundry day” lol
Also, thanks so much for the song at the end! So uplifting!
😊😊 also I'm happy you enjoyed the song

Great video Giselle. The weekend isn’t complete without catching up with you. Anna from Highlands of Scotland
😊💓😁 thats so sweet
I’ve never seen carrots and spaghetti squash that big before!
That do get big on the farm can't control size.
So much farm produce that could be eaten is thrown away because they don't fit the consumer's idea of perfect! I'm so glad that someone is using these products!
@@sortathesame8701 I wouldn’t have a problem eating big produce, I’ve just never seen it and I go to local Farmer’s Markets all the time.
We take everything no matter the size or if it's imperfect.....the past couple years quite a few of our produce has been huge tomatoes and peppers especially
At the carrot farms in Michigan were I was from no carrot went to waste they went to the cannery or sold as stock feed ( the broken ones) we would get a 50 pound bag of broken ones and cut them up and can them
I prefer the Q&A in this format. Like you, I get bored after a while.
I do as well. I know it's not the usual way for youtube, but I think it's better. it's more natural.
I feel ya especially since I have a bit of a tendency to talk alot 😬😁
@@gisellewaldner9406 you could time stamp the questions so that people can find them without watching the entire video. Sometimes people are presssed for time and want to zip by the babbling brooks, and coffee pours in order to learn more about you and your lifestyle. If I am short on time I just speed up and stop when I see you sitting in front of the camera. I love learning about different people, how they live their faith and their lifestyles.
Hello from ILLINOIS. I truly enjoy your vlogs. You are a delightful young lady!
Hello from Canada and thankyou 😊
I love the q&a. I would love for you to do longer ones. Blessings to you and your family.
Ok then blessings to you and yours 😊
The doorway grates you have are very effective! Imagine all that dirt and debris tracked into the building, blegh!
Yeah it would alot worse without those things
Love the singing, one of my favourite songs. Isn’t it a beautiful promise from the word of God, that nothing can separate us from His love. Have a wonderful and blessed week Giselle.
It most definitely is have a blessed week 😊
It is a joy watching your vlogs. Your smile and your laugh brightens any day.
You definitely have a talent for filming/vlogging and have a knack for knowing what will interest viewers. I'm fascinated by your community and seeing how things work. While there are definitely differences between us, there are also more similarities than one would imagine.
It’s always refreshing & entertaining to watch your video, doesn’t matter if it’s always almost the same contents.your beautiful to watch…(loved to listen to the choir singing, beautiful)
What is singing the choir from 24.10, please?
Well thankyou for that 😊...I do try to make it different but, our life is pretty much the same from one season to the next 🤭...but I'm glad you enjoy the videos 😊

Thanks for sharing your life with us.I would enjoy a Q & A video.
Ok thanks for letting me know 😊
The women are doing a lot of cleaning and chores and all the cooking. It's nice to see these kinds of activities.
One of my most favorite songs that was sung in our rural Baptist churches!!
Thank you for a great video again, and the hymns in the end just give me goosebumps, I really really enjoy singing in church, and reminds me so much of my home church in Mexico, living in Saskatchewan, have a great church here to, but the singing is not as strong yet, but we're all learning... nothing compares...
I feel like nothing beats the singing that one grew up with but, im sure it's going to be great soon 😊
Good 3M tape, both my husband and myself worked for 3M in Hutchinson, Minnesota, and retired from there.
Thank you once again, Giselle, for another informative V/log. I am looking forward to your next one in another week. I am also keeping you and yours in my prayers.🙏 Bye for now.🖐
Thankyou so much I do appreciate it 😊
More recipes please! Would love to know more about those beautiful rugs you and your mom make.
Sure I can do that 😊
Hi from southwestern Ontario!
Hi from southwest Manitoba 😊
Love all your videos. Your editing is amazing!
A suggestion:
Those white cutting boards play havoc with your knives. A wooden chopping block is so much kinder.
I really love how with the camera angles and music you take the common everyday tasks- chopping carrots and hanging laundry into something lovely!
Thank you 😊 🥰
Caput! Is hilarious 🤣 I thought it was only my mum that says that
A very common word amongst hutterites 😄
I watch your vlog every morning when I’m getting ready for work. Absolutely fascinating! I’ve never met a Hutterite before. The singing at the end is the best! God’s blessings to you!
Q&A would not be boring. Try it!
Aww that's sweet I'm glad you enjoy the videos and the singing 😊 hmm ok good to know God bless you and your family
I have learned so much from watching your vlogs! Thanks for sharing. I know it must be hard to record stuff and make videos but it is truly appreciated!
It can be since I always have to look if someone is around that doesn't want their face in the video thankyou I appreciate it 😊
I hope God bestows every blessing he has to offer upon you, your family and community Giselle. :)
Thankyou...same to you God bless you 😊
Lysine. Is a supplement that could help with cracked lips/cold sores. I know they can be annoying and painful.
Yes I agree. Take everyday as preventative
Blistex is the only thing that makes mine go away. As soon as I feel that tingle I grab it and put it on as soon as I can. Unfortunately it seems as though certain people are more prone to them. I’m one of them.
They are pretty annoying I'm game to try almost anything at this point
Regularly taking vitamin B helped me the most!
@@gisellewaldner9406 I personally use lysine with great results, important to take it regularly
Your greenhouse is absolutely amazing! Sigh!
We do love it 😊

Welcome, welcome I'm happy to have you 😊. Maybe someday she will it would be nice but, I understand why she doesn't want to 😊
I very much like that you throw a few questions into your video's! It helps break the video up into interesting sections!
Ok thank you for letting me know 😊
I’m glad your phone didn’t get water damage! I held my breath!
I was afraid I was going to accidentally get water into the bag..glad I didn't 😊
Thank you for being so open to answering questions - I'm sure many of your viewers are new to learning about the Hutterite religion/culture, and I know I am grateful for your willingness to share with us "English"! I was wondering if you use public libraries at all. Regarding actual printed books, that might not work if your colony is nowhere near a library, but you could still check out e-books.
Perfect timing as usual. 😄

Hi! Can you do a sewing or sewing room chat. I'd love to see how you make a blouse, especially how to put in a button hole. I'm new to making shirts. My daughters and I love your videos 💗
the singing at the end of your vlogs always warms my heart. Do the people in the colony get to hear how beautiful they sound?
Thank you for often including the clips of singing... so beautiful and refreshing. You don't know how it encourages my heart as I live in a country where they don't sing in English and worship services are rowdy, so hearing such peaceful and harmonious music is balm to the soul.
Aww I'm happy to do it for you and to be able to offer some peace and encouragement 😊
Yes I enjoyed it very much Karen
😊😊
Did I mention that you are a very beautiful young lady. Thanks for sharing my friend.
Aww that's sweet 😊
HI Giselle, I was wondering if any of the middle aged women would ever let you interview them? I would love to hear their story too..It was great that the lady you cooked with this week was willing to be on your vlog...it would be interesting to hear her take on the chores and raising a family on the colony. Love your channel sooooo much!
Hello sweet girl! Your videos always brighten up my Saturdays. It’s nice to see the garden preparing to come to life again. If you have produce leftover from last year when you harvest what do you do with it? Why do you use snaps on your clothes? Where do you get the snaps? I really like them. Have a great week 💚
We plant our garlic late in the year and harvest in summer but that's about it we don't have anything else. As for the snaps I'll have to ask our ladies that are in charge of the fabric take care of that
For those steel "amish" clothelines that you dont put things on due to sagging you can actually get connectors that go between the top and bottom line and hold them together to prevent sagging you can get as many as you want and they can be moved anywhere you want.
While as an aussie i love seeing the hillshoist ive always wanted an amish style one so i dont have to bend or reach.
Also the hillshoist can be wound up and down so you can wind the line to waist or shoulder height pop everything on and then wind it to its highest point to dry.
Im sure you know these already but yeah figured id pop it in.
The hillshoist wires can also be tightened and it can fold closed like an umbrella when not in use to protect it or save space etc
My second youngest, Emma, has a matching dress to your brown one with pink and teal flowers 💐 Its one of my favorite ones for Emma! I just thought that was cool! Anyway, I enjoy your vlogs
That is cool 😊 thankyou im glad you enjoy the vlogs
