- I think we are in for an interesting summer if more things like that happen when Jolene and I have work to do together but, having fun with the work that we have to do is also important anyways thats how I feel, if you love what you do and have fun then it doesn't really feel like work at all.

Your community's standards of cleanliness are impressive. Seriously, I used to feel a slight sense of accomplishment after cleaning my house, then I watched this video and saw ceilings being mopped. I might as well give up. LOL.
I use a lightweight microfiber mop to dust the walls and ceilings and get the ceiling fans. Also works for shower walls with less bending.
Agreed! I thought I was a clean freak..... I've got a ton to learn from her videos! 💛🥰

I don't find the cleaning (or anything else in your videos) repetitive. I love to watch you and your Sisters work at whatever you're doing! It's inspiring, and encourages me to get up and do things, in spite of intense arthritis pain in my knees, hips, wrists, and hands. Please don't stop including all these tasks in your videos.

Oh gosh sorry to see your in confined restrictions again.. here in the UK we have almost come out of all lockdown, I think Monday in door hospitality resumes as does most things I think, your woods & river look so beautiful! Dearest Giselle, thank you for your video. It was good to hear the Predigt auch Deutsch...it reminds me of my childhood. I grew up in a family of German Lutheran immigrants who believed it was very important to raise the next generation in both our heritage, language and faith. I love how authentically you share your life on the colony. Please thank all your community members who are in your videos, it is lovely to see their happy faces! And the singing is such a joy for my soul as we cannot gather with our church families these days. I was wondering if you could also add some German/Plautdeitsch singing occasionally. Vielen Dank!

oh yes I love baking with almond milk I feel like it adds an extra something to desserts especially... I do so miss my younger days and on of our ladies told me this week that its no trick being older then I am (basically saying I'm still so young) but, times are defiantly different but I guess the times are always changing thats all part of life. yeah the irrigation has to be moved daily and its fairly big so when its going it covers a lot of garden which is handy..flowers do make everything beautiful :)

I have some medical issues that limit my energy, so my home isn't as clean as I'd like. I get a lot of satisfaction from watching you spring clean. I love that you do it as a community. It seems like so much more fun.

Being able to do it together does make it more fun although we have been doing it so much lately its getting to be a bit old 🤭😅
I too have medical issues, a degenerative bone disease, and I try to take just ten minutes out of every hour to clean something or just put things on n there place. Since I started doing this, I think my house is looking so much cleaner! It is amazing how much you can get done in ten minutes!

While other countries and/states are reinstating protocols, our state lifted them. My daughter, nephew and I are immune compromised. Although we have been vaccinated, there's still a lingering doubt. I hope your allergies are getting better. My daughter has histiminosis. It comes with a variety of symptoms. Although she takes an allergy medication every day, it doesn't stop all of her symptoms. oh yes those rows are quite something and then we always have more then we need just in case there is another colony that needs something so I guess being able to help out is a good thing :) I do take allergy pills which make it a lot better but, I feel they don't last as long as it should. ahh the pool no not yet the nights are still too cold to fill it up hopefully soon :)

oh wow mask free I wish we could do that already but, hopefully soon..the best thing about that is its just restrictions are back but, we are not in a full lockdown, we are still able to purchase the non essential items. I'm glad you enjoy the videos :)
I especially liked your choice of finishing song/hymn this week. I grew up with that song, ("Take It To The Lord In Prayer") in the Bentley, Baptist church. A quick fix for your flip flop, is to either clamp a paper clip to the piece that goes through the shoe( between the toes) on the bottom, or a large Bobby pin, I have found it stays if you clap it with needle nose pliers...... it's cheap and no one knows ....... just an idea.

it starts getting dark around 8:45-9 so fairly late and the perfect time to plant as its not too hot

Thank you for sharing your life and also thank the other colony members who share their lives along with you. I love the singing, it is one of the highlights for me. I was/am suprised at the eclectic collection of books you have on your bookshelves. If I had thought about the types of books you read I would have assumed they would be religious and non fiction books i.e. beekeeping, gardening etc. Do you have a favourite author or genre of books? If so I would be interested in knowing who and what.

I took my grandsons to an amusement park yesterday and they loved the roller coaster. They are only 3 and 4 yrs. old but they are fearless!! My daughter and son-in-law rode with them. I won't do it.

I hope that you, your family, and your community are safe from the pandemic. I heard on CBC news today that COVID numbers in Manitoba are currently the highest in the country. You guys seem very self-sufficient, so hopefully nothing gets into your ranks. (Funny to call them ranks, but Hutterites seem like such organized workers that I think that treating them like a force - for good - works.) :-)

I have been thinking of trying non-dairy milk/creamer but had trouble working out what to try i.e almond milk, rice milk etc. Thank you Kathryn and Giselle for talking about Oat Milk, next time I shop I will buy some, if Kroger stocks it that is. :)

Nice compost! I'm glad you do have some time for yourself. God rested too. Wish you could have sent that beautiful rain to the south to us. We are 40-50% short of moisture thus far in 2021. I planted flower pots and planters this week. May I ask, what classes are you taking and what degree are you working towards?
currently I'm not taking classes, I want to do just about everything and that doesn't quite work..hopefully you'll get rain soon its been so dry here when we do get rain its not even half an inch.
