Big thank you to all of you for the amazing support with this series :) and an extra thank you to those of you who comment / upvote recommendations for future mods & modpacks! Cant wait to start the new series asap.
Hearing you talk about how the mod actually played into the scientific processes was honestly my favorite part of the video! As for a mod to do, I think either Blood Magic or Ars Nouveau would be fun to see you play with. Since your "Surviving With" series are so tutorial based, it might be a fun change of pace for your modpack series to be a little less formal, taking on a let's play vibe.
Great walkthrough man, been rewatching these vids over and over for info in my own world and can’t thank you enough for going so in depth with building everything. 10/10 would recommend, gotta say you know your stuff haha.
Outside a few relatively minor things you didn't specifically tell us how to do (plutonium pellets, filling the hoh, or your upgraded industrial turbine specs) you gave us enough information here and there sprinkled in the episodes throughout your series to figure it out ourselves which (probably accidentally) was a better way to teach us to do things ourselves. You'd be a great teacher and not understanding anything about nuclear power going into this I feel like this mod has the ability to be a great intro or crash course in the subject. Thank you :)
A mod that will be really helpfull to make a series, I think it will be "Ars Noveau" or "Astral Sorcery". And, for Modpacks, I recomend either ''All The Mods 6" or "Valhesia 6"...
Dude this series saved my life. I have never done Mek before and I'm messing around in ATM7 trying to figure it out - I spent 3 days trying to figure it out ore processing with their provided quest chain and it broke my brain. Thank you so much for this series, I've watched 5 or 6 eps just for the ore stuff, time to go watch the rest of it.
For mod I would suggest thermal series. And a suggestion: since these are basically tutorials. Why not disable daylight cycle weather, raids, patrols and wandering traider. May even play in peaceful. At least when filming. It would cut down on distractions.
I started the Direwolf20 1.16 pack, this was great to help along side. I have watched the videos to learn and stay to listen to the music at the end. Thank you for this amazing series and I'll be sure to rewatch this series 2,147,483,647 more times to make sure I get everything right!
Honestly, the most brutal nerf I've played with regards to mekanism is where they removed the mekanism version of steel and you had to get it from other means. Yea there's other easy ways to get it, but you need so much of the stuff and nothing comes close to the rates you can generate it with in mekanism. Especially with v9 mekanism, you're looking at quite the effort considering the steel casing you need to make the fusion reactor, the thermal evaporation plant, and even just cables. Also about the fusion reactor being overpowered... The fission reactor can generate enough power to process antimatter at a near max rate if you have a big enough turbine. Yea it's nowhere near what a fusion reactor can do, but you have essentially unlimited power at that point anyway. Though granted you need some way to replenish uranium. You can kinda get away with using reprocessed fuel if you're willing to load up on nuclear waste though. As for the next mod, a playthrough of galacticraft would be cool.
Hey @rageplaysgames I've been enjoying this series. I subbed to you because of this series. One of the main reasons I subbed to you is you have a very clear voice and do an excellent breaking down ahead of time. Your gathering the resources and laying them out before we ever do the build is helpful as I and others can pause the video and come back and check our quantities for a build. I tend to play a lot of All The Mods(Currently 6) so hitting that one for a surviving with series would be pretty boss. I'm also a big fan of Minecolonies which might be a fun one to work through a surviving with or ATM focused surviving with. One thing I have yet to see is anyone trying to build custome buildings for Minecolonies outside of the devs doing example builds and in particular custom builds with mod integration. A fun surviving with concept might be minecolonies with Immersive engineering or even Mekanism integrated. Something to toy around with in the head.
In school for mechanical engineering right now. Took Thermo 1 over the summer and it is realy cool that I am seeing what I learned in my favorite game haha.
Bro it's alright, no one expects you to be an expert in everything. I'm here for your honest commentary on the mod and mistakes are okay to make! Obviously blowing up your base wouldn't be good, but in your modpack it might be more fun to see some of the mistakes
I just finished watching this letsplay series and I thini u did an amazing job, the episodes about mutliblocks and QIO system was quite clear and enough enlightening. Thanks for the gameplay like tutorial. Have nice days!
bro, if it wasn't for you i wouldn't know how to do all the stuff in mekanism now i do chernobyls all around minecraft but seriously thank you for making this series i know its old but it really helped me a lot
I loved this playthrough, helped me so much to understand this immens modpack. So thanks for that :D. I'm personally playing on Valhelsia 3 modpack, it's amazing and has all the good stuff. I highly recommend it and I'd love to see how you combine all the machinery of the different mods into one beautiful base
I wholly agree that the fact that power is essentially a by-product of the fission reactors is messed up. As for the QIO system - the biggest beef I have with it is that by the time you can even get started in it, you will have *long since* wanted a bulk storage system. Modpack wise... I think FTB Interactions would be a neat one to see for a long-run playthrough.
This was such a great series! Youve done a great job at explaining all the mechanics of mekanism and making it superinteresting to keep watching. Thank you! As for an idea for the next mod survival series: industrial foregoing or applied energistics 2! For a modpack: enigmatica 2: expert. For a less focused modpack: mc eternal or valhelsia 2 or 3!
Elemental Craft or Applied Energistics 2 would be great and as for a mod pack All the Mods 6 has a ton to play around with. Loved the series and can't wait for the next one.
I think a betweenlands play through would be interesting. It’d be a bit of a departure from your normal surviving with series, being a more adventure focused mod, but it also has plenty of interesting mechanics to play with. Because of the nature of the mod, a modpack focused around it could be cool too, though I think it might be best on its own.
I watched this series and you did a good job explaining each part of the mod very well. On this video you talked about the Nerfing of Mekanism the pack I currently playing does not have the Generator part of the Mod in the pack at all. the Mod pack is called Techopolis 2 and it is for Minecraft 1.19.2
I know I'm a bit late to this series, but I've gotten to the fusion reactor now and it would have been nice if you had given the sizes for the turbine you made for it. But I do super appreciate the series as a whole, I kept coming back to make sure I did so many different things right. Thanks!
Mekanism is one of the most fun mods to play with. I have Industrial foregoing and some other standalone mods install alongside. It makes everything that much more fun. Everything is automated and you can even combine some mekanism machines with industrial forgoing and other machines to create something even more useful. I think you should combine bunch of cool mods together and start a full series with it, including grinding and all and do vanilla stuff like killing the ender dragon. It would be fun to watch.
As an example : Industrial foregoing has a machine call Material Stone Factory that creates Cobblestone by putting in 2 buckets of Water and Lava and providing it with power, then it can also crush Cobblestone to produce Gravel. Put an Enriching Factory next to it and convert Gravel into Flint then attach a Crushing Factory next to it and turn Flint into Gunpowder. Now you have automated production of Gunpowder. It's really fun to mess around and find new ways to combine all these mods and create something new.
Love to see sevtech:ages modpack play tru i just started this modpack my self. And unlock tree that's in there is very nice. But makes you go tru most mods. Sinds things are locked. Its tech and magic mixed.
You could do a ting where you play with a few mods. Like nuclear craft + draconic evolutions. Maybe add refind storage and Environmental Tech. This is becose nuclear craft generates a lot of power but doesnt use mutch. Draconic uses a lot but doesnt have good producion. Environmental tech is so you have resorce colection.
As ive watched these videos ive realized how many times you had to go back for something and realized i had to go back 15+ times to my basement because i forgot my mechanical pipes when i was making a fission reactor
For a mod pack series I’d personally love to see you and your take on the new 1.16 DireWolf20 pack as you have more creative ideas for progression through packs and I’d love to see what you’d make of it! As for a stand alone mod I’m on the fence as there’re so many but a closer in depth look at the Thermal Series for 1.16 would be nice! Long time watcher first time commenter. Love your stuff man!
Valhelsia 3 is kinda awesome! Contains "industrial" mods like mekanism and immersive engineering and also a lot of magic mods like astral sorcery, blood magic and botania!
Mod pack suggestion! Enigmatica 2! Great mod pack which uses a lot of automation and your play through’s are always so informative would be so useful, thanks for helping me out so much
FTB University would be a cool choice for a modpack, its a big modpack that walks you through alot of different magic and tech mods. For a surviving with series i would love to see blood magic or astral sorcery cuz i personally think magic mods are less intuitive then tech mods, making them harder to understand.
Rage, great playthrough. I'd say don't worry about the early game solar (maybe could've just used the small solar panels? I dunno), as you've covered the wind generator in your v9 playthrough. My only beef with wind is that they're a bit noisy and you can't really muffle them, so I just build a big ugly tower and slap the wind generator on top (bonus: moar power). Obviously something I'd never do in multiplayer unless I'm far enough away from other players, or I'll look for a nice mountain to stick the wind turbines onto. Maybe the only thing I'd improve upon the ethylene is just more stuff to do with all the substrate/plastic that it generates. I mean, sure, I could make a ton of plastic blocks through auto crafting... I prefer the biogas in IC2 as there's much less byproduct and it's crazy simple to set up a big chain of generators with pipes. QIO will be well worth it once it gets the crafting grid, no doubt. I've heard people (Twitch streamers) trash talk the ore processing system, less because you can work up to 5x ores, but because "you throw down one machine and it does everything", i.e. the factory upgrades. I guess compared to mods like IC2 or Thermal, not only having the ore processed so quickly and also quintupled might feel overpowered, but it is a lot of fun as you say. One thing I've done in creative is set up several crystallizers so I'm not bottlenecked. As far as accuracy, I'm told that in terms of mechanical engineering, few mods have met the "mathematical accuracy including friction and air resistance" bar of RotaryCraft, which is why I don't play it (that, and it's still on 1.7 or 1.8). If I want to deal with super-realistic mechanical machines, I'll probably risk my fingers on an actual machine while I'm at it. But that's not why I play games.
I just unlocked jetpack and i feel like an alien. When i unlock Mekasuit armor i am going to build myself a flying UFO somewhere high in the skies. Transmitting power from the ground to my craft to make it useful.
It would be fun if you did surviving with draconic evolution, but you make more advanced things then last time, you could do it in FTB dire wolf 20 1.12.2
deuterium + Tritium+ 17.5 M.e.v = Helium and an extra proton and a big burst of energy where have I heard that before lol. I like that an attempt was made to teach actual nuclear fusion. would be nice if they added a thorium liquid salt reactor as an option.
One issue with that vanilla melon farm is the performance hit on the system. I prefer to farm manually with wheat and carrots in a larger area outside. I spent some time building an identical system to yours then wanted to improve it. So I spent time watching the mod authors video explaining how it works and found a "my opinion" better design. I don't believe the fission reactor needs nerfed. It takes a lot more work to get together vs other reactors. Especially Extreme Reactors. I was tempted to drop the Fission and go to what I'm used to using but decided to stick with it and figure the ins and outs of the design and it's limitations. This fits my opinion on Mekanism as a whole. Yes you can get some really ridiculous stuff but it takes a lot of time building up the foundation to get there and that's where I believe is the balancing of it.
Looks like you don't have a series on Pneumaticcraft. It has a lot of interesting mechanics around the air pressure as power system and I think it is pretty science based like mekanism. May have enough for a full surviving with series or for sure worth checking out in a pack. On storage mods AE2 and RS make it a little too easy. I'd like to see what you do with McJty mods -- Mainly rftools control (auto crafting) + rftools storage + XNET. I like to turn off the wireless ability of the rftools storage scanner, so you have to connect rftools storage I/O with XNET. XNET with mechanism is great (with another mod to allow xnet to move gas). Obviously other great mods are Create and Botania, so basically a pack that has all your surviving with x combined. Direwolf 20 for 1.16.4 is a decent pack with all that -- kind of has everything in it and to me too much overlap/clutter. I play a personal pack that is like direwolf but trimmed to let the core content mods shine. Like I removed all the mods that add flight, so mechanism jetpack is basically the only early option. Remove the dedicated pipe/transport mods to use mekanism and xnet. Remove ender storage as my personal preference is to reduce options for wireless transport of anything, so logistics solutions have a chance to shine.
After watching the v9 series it was a little comical to watch another player who is so used to EnderIO and AE that he had the insane resources to throw together a chain of Mekanism ore processing machines, never really bothered to upgrade them, then abandoned them because "what's the point??". The comments were predictably "Y U NO upgrade???"
Just realised i found your playthrough and channel, 2 days after this series is done. started playing with mekanism a week ago, and wanted to see what the mod offers, and to be honest, i am a little dissapointed (in the mod), it has a ton of awesome things, but i feel like there is so much power production, but i feel like there is too much for what takes power, but it might just be me. is there any mods that anyone could recommend, that could go alongside mekanism? anyway, love the series, and i hope to see alot of new interesting vids from you in my notifications. keep up the good work my man
Could you potentially synchronize qio with refined storage to have crafting? Like in refined storage you can use chess space as storage space, so I’m wondering if it’s the same thing with qio
From what ive done ive practically never needed the fusion reactor since i always need plutonium and its usually worth to just make more reactor systems for energy
Big thank you to all of you for the amazing support with this series :) and an extra thank you to those of you who comment / upvote recommendations for future mods & modpacks! Cant wait to start the new series asap.
Keep rocking!
I have been watching your channel and very much enjoy it thanks for the great content man.
Ps: You should get into the astral sorcery mod.
Loved this series and play tektopia its a cool mod
You have a really nice energy to your videos man, it's medium chill and not overstated/exaggerated. Please keep being authentic.
😻
Rage: "We have absolutely squeezed this mod dry"
Precision Sawmill: Do I mean nothing to you? 😂
Yeah charcoal into coal conversion is cool
Would love to see a Valhelsia 3 playthrough!
all the mods 6 is a big pack that would last a while
almost a year later and I still hope he does this
Surviving with mana and artifice or surviving with astral sorcery, both updated to current patch :)
Should do them together since Astral Sorcery is quite short
Hearing you talk about how the mod actually played into the scientific processes was honestly my favorite part of the video! ALL THE MODS 6 that's perfect for you
Industrial foregoing or all the mods 6

Fusion reactor is very cheap and easy to assemble for the power that it outputs!
Id love a Blood Magic or Astral Sorcery series as for mod pack most the good ones are already here

FTB interactions is an insanely good modpack that I’m currently playing right now!
@Daniel Gleason that’s true, but it’s more of a reason for him to explain it to those who don’t know.
Hey @rageplaysgames I've been enjoying this series. I subbed to you because of this series. Blood magic?
I'd love to see how you handle magic mods
Dang never expected to actually make it to the end of this series. But amazing job! Thanks for walkthrough
In school for mechanical engineering right now. Took Thermo 1 over the summer and it is realy cool that I am seeing what I learned in my favorite game haha.

recently started a server with mekanism and a nubch of other mods, my first modded minecraft experience, your videos helped immensely
Surviving with Powah or ElmentalCraft, may be a short series, but I think it would be really fun
I just finished watching this letsplay series and I thini u did an amazing job, the episodes about mutliblocks and QIO system was quite clear and enough enlightening. Thanks for the gameplay like tutorial. Have nice days!
For a mod I think astral scorsery would be a good mod to cover
Astral would be incredible. It's such a confusing mod.
Came here to say the same.
Agreeeeee😅
We got it boys
Thanks for the great series. Played with this mod a lot but got more done than ever with your vids. Thanks
Amazing Series! You deserve more attention.
Thank you so much for recording this series,it was fun and helpful.🙏
btw I think astral sorcery will be a nice idea for the next series.
bro, if it wasn't for you i wouldn't know how to do all the stuff in mekanism now i do chernobyls all around minecraft but seriously thank you for making this series i know its old but it really helped me a lot
This series has sparked my love for mekanism again, THANK YOU for the amazing series!!!!
Well, I did it! I finished your series following your footsteps, it took a few months but it’s finished.
A Surviving with All The Mods 6 would be awesome, dude
I barely comment in youtube vids but your mekanism series is what made fall in love with mekanism. You've ruined other mods for me. Thank you! :)
I loved this playthrough, helped me so much to understand this immens modpack. So thanks for that :D. I'm personally playing on Valhelsia 3 modpack, it's amazing and has all the good stuff.
Your videos have been so helpful, especially for mekanism which doesn’t have an ingame guide
Elemental Craft or Applied Energistics 2 would be great and as for a mod pack All the Mods 6 has a ton to play around with. Loved the series and can't wait for the next one.
I think a betweenlands play through would be interesting. It’d be a bit of a departure from your normal surviving with series, being a more adventure focused mod, but it also has plenty of interesting mechanics to play with. surviving with - Roots
a druid-themed magic mod
modpack - Heavens of Sorcery
a skyblock pack focusing around various magic mods.
honestry, Seeing you play a modpack would be awsome! now or old one dont matter. I always enjoy your content!
I know I'm a bit late to this series, but I've gotten to the fusion reactor now and it would have been nice if you had given the sizes for the turbine you made for it.
But I do super appreciate the series as a whole, I kept coming back to make sure I did so many different things right. Thanks!
you should DEFINITELY try surviving with pneumaticcraft!
I think nature's aura would be a nice candidate
Mekanism is one of the most fun mods to play with. I have Industrial foregoing and some other standalone mods install alongside. It makes everything that much more fun. Everything is automated and you can even combine some mekanism machines with industrial forgoing and other machines to create something even more useful.

It's really fun to mess around and find new ways to combine all these mods and create something new.
Create v0.3 is pretty cool and has a ton of really cool stuff. A nice modpack with both Create and Mekanism is Brass
Love to see sevtech:ages modpack play tru i just started this modpack my self. And unlock tree that's in there is very nice. But makes you go tru most mods. Sinds things are locked. Its tech and magic mixed.
I would love surviving with Powah or Create 0.3
Loved all eps, keep up the awesome work
Loved this series, excited to see the next one

My personal fav is FTB Revelations, would be great to see that :)
I'd love to see you play Manufactio, merging Minecraft with Factorio.
the human eye can only read "sleep deprivation 2" off of that
if its something like gregtech and factorio
I agree!
For a mod maybe Blood Magic.
For a modpack I think Valhelsia 3 is very cool. Could build a city with Minecolonies
As ive watched these videos ive realized how many times you had to go back for something
and realized i had to go back 15+ times to my basement because i forgot my mechanical pipes when i was making a fission reactor
Also, for Minecraft 1.12.2, I really recomend Enigmática 2 Expert. It is really Big and dificult
Awesome series, i love them!
Mod pack suggestion! Enigmatica 2! Great mod pack which uses a lot of automation and your play through’s are always so informative would be so useful, thanks for helping me out so much
TNP limitless 3 is a current 1.16.4 questing mod pack. It's kitchen sink, but the quests give you some guidance.
FTB University would be a cool choice for a modpack, its a big modpack that walks you through alot of different magic and tech mods. For a surviving with series i would love to see blood magic or astral sorcery cuz i personally think magic mods are less intuitive then tech mods, making them harder to understand.
i learned a lot from this series thx love your vids
Astral sorcery is a good one, and for modpack enigmatica 2 expert is pretty good

I agree, ATM 6 is a great pack to try.
A Mana and artifice play through would be nice to see.
it would be so cool to see a survinging with create serese as it such a cool mod that would work well on its own
You are so underrated
Hey, Rage. I’ve been having fun with the 1.16 pack, All the Mods 6.
Since watching the hermit pack 1.10 i have been craving another modpack!
Nuclear craft would be cool to see. Honestly any complex mod. It’s hard to find good videos on the more in depth mods out there.
If the QIO system improvements come in later editions of v10 then it would be cool to do a revisit to this world to showcase that stuff.
Mekanism is my favorite mod. I haven’t played v10 yet.
Valhelsia 3 would be a cool modpack to see. Also maybe a magic mod like Blood Magic Or Botania! :D
Enigmatica 6 would be nice to see, think you would enjoy it too
All the mods 6 or new Direwolf20 Pack as both are 1.16+
I would love to see surviving with nuclear craft
deuterium + Tritium+ 17.5 M.e.v = Helium and an extra proton and a big burst of energy where have I heard that before lol.
Honestly, the Chroma Technology is one of the most complete modpack and is really fun, have a lot of quests so why not ?
Omnifactory, gregtech has some really cool systems which are even more advanced than mekanism ones
ive been using this as a guide for mekanism, and not to toot my own horn, but I've only had TWO fission reactors blow up 😏
Looks like you don't have a series on Pneumaticcraft.
I would like to see any 1.16.4 pack or a project ozone 3 Kappa mode.
How about Levitated modpack ? Love to watch that
I'm surprised you never made the teleporter system. But yeah looks good :)
You made this video on my birthday haha
Direwolf20 mod back from feed the beast is great.
please, Gregtech would be nearly a life saver !
Should check out ATM 8 and look at Mekanism. There are changes to be looked at.
All the mods 6 and all themods6 to the sky ...enigmatica 6
Seaopolis ....sky bees go goo gooo
