    Just taken delivery of my 7dct GTX+ in the Pewter olive green shade...it looks fantastic...dark green black in the shade/dark but metallic bottle green in light/sunlight...drives much better than my earlier seltos too...

      Idk man. I think you guys are nitpicking and over exaggerating a wee bit.
      His voice was audible through the entirety of the video. Was the music loud? A bit. But not loud enough to make his narration inaudible.

    Is it safer now? Kia sells a ton of cars globally as well and they need to make structurally well made cars and the old seltos wasnt according to GlobalNCAP.. Btw nice video autocar india-keep up the good work..

      No both Koreans Creta,KIA cheating Indian customers.They don't bother about safety and NCAP ratings.if you really value yours and your families life,Until unless they get 5 star rating in NCAP,stay away from these brands.

      @@elemental9039 hey I think skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun would serve you well if you want a much more driver focused alternatives-these two cars come with a 5 star global Ncap rating as well.... And you can even try the toyota Hyryder or the Suzuki Grand Vitara even though they are a bit underpowered -they do the job though-they are built on a safer platform-they haven't been crash tested by Global Ncap yet but will probably get 4 stars like the Vitara Brezza.... Either way happy shopping and happy driving mate😁😁😉😉....

    Rear collision assist feature has to be highlighted as it is a very important safety feature when parking cars in a building complex. Still doubtful from the safety point, because at 20lakhs it is crossing into Tata Harrier territory ❤

    Well! What I mostly observed is the stabilisation of the cam fixed on the window, which covers Gavin's footage inside.What a stabilised footage. Can anyone say which cam is that?

    They should have tuned the Diesel engine to churn more power, something around 130 PS would have been great. Also have the improved the structural rigidity which was unstable in previous version.Indians should demand it like western countries & Mid East even if it means little more money.

    Can you not make a video without BGM, atleast when you are narrating.

    Have they improved the structural rigidity at least this time? Please don’t get blinded by the features that Kia and Hyundai offer. They’re just to cover up their poor 3 star rating in safety.

      most likely no. they never talked about it during the launch, besides changing a platform in a facelift is unheard of, and even if they would have changed it, the cost will even higher.
      the major reason why Hyundai group favors features over better steel is to keep cost in check, there is no other reason why it would dilute the chassis quality even though they have 5 star rated Creta and Seltos globally.
      and strange this review failed to mention any point on that.

      Seltos will score 4 stars if tested again, that's because of 6 airbags & all 4 disc brakes as standard.
      Not a fan of hyundai or kia but still the base variants of creta & seltos offer good value for money.

      They reinforced the weak spots which were noted by the NCAP for having weak protection. It's mentioned in the brochure. But we have wait for the crash test to see if it translates into better NCAP ratings.

    Hi,
    I have purchased seltos HTK IMT Diesel, it was delivered 2 weeks back.
    Existing IMT Users, Anyone faced issues with crawl functionality in first gear in IMT gearbox,
    when I am stuck at traffic signals, and roads has small slopes like 5 degrees or 10 degrees, then in first gear, the crawl functionality does not work as expected, my car rolls backwards slightly and I have to manually press accelerator ASAP to avoid further rollback. On fully plain road, crawl in first gear works without rollback, but feels underpowered. But if there is very very small slope like 5 to 10 degrees , crawl does not work as expected.
    Same thing happens for reverse gear, if there is 5-10 degrees slope, car moves forward, and i have to press accelerator ASAP to avoid movement ahead.
    FYI , in my opinion this is not Hill assist issue, hill assist feature working fine on steep slopes in hilly roads, mall ramps. The car holds for 2-3 seconds and enough time to move ahead without rollback.

    Car looks fantastic. Kia's attention to detail is unmatched in the segment. The 1.5L TGDI DCT is the same one used in new Verna and is peppy and refined. Well done Kia!

    I wanted to buy slavia base model. But changed my plan and going for new seltos as Hill Hold controls are missing in slavia but is available in seltos. Is this a right decision?

      Brother no car will all features you need ..but slavia is superior in safety, spend some time with Kia owners .. service cost of Kia is same as a strong skoda car

      1) Creta sells more than Kushaq and Taigun combined 2) Wagon R sells 2-3 times more than Tiago
      3)Why Venue and Sonnet sell as much as Nexon
      4)Why Amaze sells less than Dzire
      5)Why Alcazar and Carens sell more than Safari
      6)Swift selling 2-3 times more than than Altroz

    The base variants of creta & seltos are absolute value for money, specially in diesel.
    I'm just skeptical about the crash ratings, but i think it'll be better that previous test as 6 airbags & all 4 disc brakes are now standard. Most likely will get 4 stars.
    But being a hyundai/kia it will still have build quality & body integrity of a tin can.

      I saw someone posting a pic from the car's brochure showing the adjustments they did to the chassis to make it more safe. If they did it right it should score at least 4 stars. Regardless of the result of the crash test, this car will surely sell a lot.

      @@sathyaki it is actually. If you want a fun to drive car with raw engine power & loads of torque along with decent fuel efficiency : diesel is the one for you.And getting a good tried and tested diesel under 15L is a good deal imo as diesel engines are rare now.

    Nice review... Important question - How is the seat comfort on the GT line? Is the piping pattern seat comfortable for long drives? After looking at xline seat pattern and even patterns on lower spec variants, this one (piping pattern) seems uncomfortable. Please share your inputs

    So I got the xline dct variant a week ago. It's amazing. No doubt. The paint quality.. Interiors. Features And performance..top notch. But please take my word here. ADAS is not for the city.. Or if you drive fast and bumper to bumper either in city or highway.
    I know people will say one isn't supposed to drive that way. But come on we all know with such exciting engine it's difficult to be tamed all the time, especially when you gotta be somewhere in time.
    So this happened with me on the second day of driving. I was doing 40kmph. The car ahead was probably at the same speed or a bit slower. I was a feet away from the car in front.. And all of a sudden the brakes locked up by itself and stopped the car right in the middle of the road with other cars tailing me. It could have been a mess. Luckily the one behind stopped just in time and so did the others behind him.
    So all those buying cars with ADAS level 2.. Be aware that this can happen even at higher speeds.. Causing a highway car pile wreck

      I bought GTX. Bro there is an option to disable Forward collision alone and keep other options active.
      You can disable it during city ride. This is just one feature, other 16 features are super useful. Tesla comes with ADAS 3.0 the it will be even more mess.

    Let them send their cars to Global NCAP crash test first. Anyday would prefer VW Taigun, Skoda Kushaq and upcoming Honda Elevate over this.

    I liked this car a lot. And i think this safety trumpet is over blown, both hyundai and kia have focussed a lot on safety on the latest variant, six air bags, all four disk brakes, esc rollover mitigation, hill ascest control, etc all added after that.

    Any iphone 13 pro or 14 pro is not charging with their wireless charger properly with the facelifted seltos gtx plus version. No reviewer mentioned this.

      GTX DCT if you're a more enthusiastic driver / want swifter acceleration on openings. HTX iVT if you're a more relaxed driver / don't overtake much. The iMT turbo variant is also a great offering, which gives you best of both worlds - more control and power with the clutchless manual coupled with Turbo petrol engine.

    Even though you are driving/cruising for such a long time on the highway, the avg fuel stayed at 7.*.. it should have popped up to 10+ considering you have reset and on this trip it has done less than 100 kms

    Kia and creta are city suv segments and are not meant for highways and these vehicles are typically for city use. So one who use it for highways is at peril on their heads as these types of vehicle is not meant for highways at all. Very light body vehicle built for mileage only built quality is poor in comparison to Tata and Mahindra

    GT line interior was best with all black with red stitching. This cream inserts looks so cheap and seems aftermarket seat covers. Please give this feedback to KIA.

    Seems quite a bit overpriced since there are no structural changes, doesn’t give a feeling of assurance and safety only additions are gimmicky features.

    There is no revive and recall option when the Kia Seltos splits into 2 pieces, i think this is the best machine to meet God.Because performance and comfort is feels good when the car is safe Just like a WRC car.

    Even though the video is 15 mins, I found it to be very less informative. Felt like the video was only about the engine and nothing else.
    No details provided on the host of new features, nothing on the new screen, how it works, feel and the camera quality. Could have explained a little more on the Instrument cluster, the infotainment and the media/AC controls.
    No talks regarding seat comfort, details from back seat perspective and storage accross the car including the boot space.

    What's with manufacturers providing those 18 inch tyres. Might look good but is not practical on our roads. 17 inch was already an overkill. Also these sizes are expensive too. 😢

      Is it mandatory in India to crash test a car in GNCAP facility before getting it in to production? Blame the rules not the reviewers.

      @@PeakyBlinder92 let me rephrase. I am not suggesting that reviewers need to certify the cars. But they need to talk about “how safe” is the car. If it is not rated by the agencies, mention that or mention what the rating was for the old model.

      @@Ashish-pi4fg First of all people need to understand that GNCAP is not an organization which has been recognized by any government, so is ours and it’s not mandatory in India to crash test the car by a third party before it going in to production. So a reputed firm like Auto-car could face legal challenges if they say something stupid on UA-cam just to satisfy a minority. It’s not as easy as people think it is.

    Hyundai and Kia launches a car, here comes a wave of online chapri’s teaching prospective buyers about safety and GNCAP😂. Man nothing more cringey than reading comments of these keyboard warriors. They don’t have anything substantial to say or discuss about a newly launched product. GNCAP is a fluke and you people will understand it once the BharatNCAP comes in to play

    the South Korean car giant should introduce the facelifted KIA Seltos (SP2) 4WD + 1.0 in. Lift 1.4 Biturbo I4 5-Dr C-SUV (RHD) in India . . . the facelifted India specific KIA Seltos (SP2i) 4WD + 1.0 in. Lift 1.5 CRDI I4 5-Dr C-SUV (RHD) don't offer 4WD whatsoever, not even as an option . . . only the SP2 variant is available with 4WD as option . . . speaking of urban CUVs the Haval H6 MHEV (B30) 4WD + 1.0 in. Lift 2.0 Biturbo I4 5-Dr C-SUV (RHD) is best suited for Indian market . . .

    After purchase problem; we face is that KIA/NISSAN/HONDA/TOYOTA parts aren't available in open parts market whereas Hyundai, Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki provides the same everywhere. This makes KIA etc unfriendly to customers.
