Also, I recently discovered a coat or two of clear coat over the base paint, but under the tape helps with a couple of things. It prevents scratching the white paint when trying to remove take with any tools and it helps prevent bleeding of the ink under the tape. Got perfect white lines the last time i did an alcohol ink cup using 2x Rustoleum clear matte

Have you heard of Unicorn Spit? If not you gotta try it! It’s kind of the same idea that can be used on a much larger scale. Not sure if it would work on cups but it’s amazing for wood or any large surface you can stain &/or paint. The colors are saturated & very beautiful & in a range of finishes (flat, glitter, shimmer)! I painted a door in my house with it & it literally looks like a painting of a door on the wall - very optical illusion-y lol but so much fun! Wish there was a way to share a photos on here... look into it whenever you have time & are looking to add color on a larger scale. Enjoying your videos!

Alot of cup makers use unicorn spit, mostly for aqua /rust patinas

Have you seen the videos with people using automotive “wrap” products? I really liked where they used it on a ceramic tile to make a coaster. They were able to achieve a 3D result. It’s an awesome product (you probably already know that LOL).

beautiful cup! wanted to give you a tip. Instead of a heat gun, you can use a can of air. You don’t have to use the straw with it unless you are trying to move the inks in a precise location.

Have you tried using a mask made from a plotted vinyl sticker yet? I wonder if that adhesive is stronger and more bleed proof idk🤷♂️
I cut some stuff out on my plotter and it seems to do pretty well, but I did saturate this with the alcohol spray - that fine line tape probably can't get too wet

Do you seal spray before epoxy, I have had a happy accident but it lightened the inks
I did not on this one. I just made sure they were really dry - I waited until the next day before applying epoxy
How about using the tape method that you did here combined with the ink and plastic wrap method?

That’s my current problem. I can’t just let a small imperfection be, after picking at it and picking at it I ruin it or leave it unfinished.
