What a fantastic series. Props to Princess for allowing this. They must be a huge employer and positive contributor in the Plymouth area. Here's hoping for their continued success.
Absolutely loved this series Nick! What a beautiful product Princess produce. A testament to the skill, expertise & dedication of every person that works there. They should be very proud👍
Huge kudos to Ross and Princess for opening up their process. Absolutely inspiring to see the hard work, dedication and skill that goes into building these beauties. Word class.
That’s a wrap and a real win for the channel and a fabulous marketing effort from Princess. Ross is such a great ambassador and thanks to all involved.
I think this series could well be the Goat. The stats are incredible, the number of sites, acres and employees. But more than that the number sold. Amazing thanks Nick and thanks to Princess for sharing.
It now makes sense why these yachts are so expensive. I used to think yachts were a scam, considering you could get a much larger mansion or numerous properties for the same amount of money. But the scale of production, the facilities (overhead costs), the engineering, and the skills required all explain the final pricing of the product.
Exactly! You don't need seven factories and over 3,000 staff to build a house, and you don't have to put huge expensive engines, nav equipment and all the rest into it either.
@@AQUAHOLIC agreed. Having said that, properties hold their value while yachts depreciate over time. Also, it’s a money pit given the big ones require huge running costs (staffing, fuel, etc) and maintenance cost each year.
@@timotheosgodbold5841 yes but plenty who can afford them stay far away for many reasons, one of them being an extremely expensive luxury! Also, sea sickness can also be an issue for others!
@@husseinfarah6885 Oh completely! But not as much of a waste of money as having enough cash to do the things you are passionate about but dying having never spent it on doing so.
Hi Nick, thank you so much for doing that complete tour of what goes in to making a Princess Yacht. Hat's off to Ross for being so informative and passionate about what he and the vast Princess team do. I will say it again, when my numbers come up, i will be beating a path to Ross's door!
Thank you to Princess Yachts, and to everyone from senior management, designers, carpenters, metal workers, and engineers, it's so good to see the entire process of building such an amazing boat. Huge respect for everyone involved, and for allowing Nick to showcase its journey from start to finish, gives a real insight into how things are made, the time and effort and a sense of worth. I can definitely see why these cost a lot, but for the love care and attention, its money well spent. I also appreciate all the videos of these boats second-hand, as I now fully appreciate the longevity and build quality which can make these boats last a long time. I'm sure we all appreciate Nick and the team at Princess for this unprecedented access to create a video for Boat owners, Build Company employees, and, of course, us to view and re-watch on this channel!....... REALLY ENJOYED THE WHOLE PROCESS!
Nick, while all of your content is stellar, this series has been some of “the most looked forward to viewing” that I have had in a long time. I said it before, but this was just so engrossing, with both you and Ross being SO enthusiastic in your trades, it made this so special. I look forward to all of your videos and this is the reason. Have a great week, Sir!
What a fantastic series of videos. Ross did Princess proud, what a friendly knowledgeable guy who clearly loves his job. I’ve got to say although I have watched videos of a great many of the Princess yachts, they were never on my list of top boat makers but having seen this series and the level of craftsmanship they are now. Well done to everyone!
A brilliant finale to a fascinating insight to the building of the S 80, this must be the absolute icing on the cake for "Aquaholic" and this fascinating series in collaboration with Princess Yachts, nick.
What can one say that has not already been said . Simply astounding series Nick a massive thankyou to Ross and all at Princess for making it possible , I love learning stuff I wouldn't otherwise know about and you my dear Sir never fail to deliver insightful well put together nuggets of knowledge . With this series though you have outdone yourself , you have in the past mentioned Princess's attention to details in videos and this series has really brought that focus to pin sharp clarity . I have loved every single second of this series again Nick thank you ever so much for the effort you put into these videos for us to enjoy .
Such awe. From part 1, through to the end of part 4, it is simply awesome. Done yourself proud, Nick. These are your crowning glories for showing off the princess. My question is now reversed.....how do they make a princess so cheaply, after witnessing what goes into making them?. And the miles of wires are still blowing my mind. All credit to you and Ross and The Princess Company.
Please more of these style videos from the boatyards. I understand of your relationship with Princess. With your "fair-play" channel, I would like to think that you now have clout to pursue my request 😊. Just a stupendous attempt at entertainment and education. Bravo, Sir... Bravo!
Nick, it’s been a real adventure to see all the many different things that happen to create a boat. The man showing you around was very knowledgeable and had a great understanding of all things. I wonder if Princess have their own marina, they certainly have a few of them ready. I can’t wait for the sea trial video.I might not necessarily speak for other viewers but I’m fairly certain they have enjoyed the videos too. Hopefully you might get a Princess boat at some point in the near future. I wonder what’s next? Maybe we will have to wait and see.
Just amazing , the level of detail , nice to see Ross has the ocd and straightens the upper helm steering wheel , still think I prefer the Y class version , not keen on the X , but I am sure plenty will differ , thanks for the tour , look forward to the full Aquaholic tour and sea trial
I’ve got so much enjoyment from watching this series Nick. It’s wonderful to see that we still have ingenuity, skill and talent in this country. I can’t wait to see you on a sea trial with this boat.
What an amazing adventure this series has been. When talking about cost, especially as compared to luxury real estate, so many fixate on the added cost of boat specific equipment, engines and electronics. Granted, these are very expensive, but really, it's the huge amount of labor that goes into handmaking so much of the luxurious fittings and touches that make these stand out. Oh, and this adventure is NOT over until we get a full Aquaholics tour, the sea trial offered would be a bonus. Thanks for this entire series, Nick.
Excellent set of videos, Ross is so knowledgeable but also humble of what he and the Princess team have produced, he is a credit to the Company and what a great Company for the area.
Excellent series Nick. Nothing like the pressure of a deadline for concentrating the mind!! Amazed that they managed to finish off in 3 days after the extended test. Kudos to Princess for seeing the benefit of investing so much time with Aquaholic, and creating a worthy, in-depth and educational insight.
By far and away the best yachting journey of videos I've ever had the pleasure of watching. Brilliantly presented, hugely fascinating and hugely interesting... enhanced in no small way by Ross, an immensely knowledgeable guide and a walking Encyclopedia of Yachting. Its fantastic to know British craftsmanship is still very much alive and kicking. Thank you so much Nick. A very easy 11 out of 10.
Nick, I doubt you could have had a better host for this in depth tour and demonstration of how to build a luxury super yacht, and we could not have had a better host than you, to bring it all to us, well done Sir. Fantastic series, and loved every minute of it. What impresses me the most about the way these are built though, I work on finishing large expensive houses, and on every boat you show us, with all the different materials coming together, we never see even one inch of mastic/sealant. That in itself is testament to how well designed and built they are. Thanks again for bringing us this special,. Best Wishes.
Ross was a fantastic host, I was amazed with his in depth knowledge with the whole construction process and the completed product. And Nick, as always, your videos are second to none. An amazing 4 part series, and I look forward to Part 5 when you are taken out on a sea trial of a Princess Yacht.
The subject question has been answered. It was fascinating to see how quality, functionality and aesthetics are molded together to create a masterpiece yacht.
The Princess yachts are beautiful and show that modern maritime design can also be tasteful. I do find the ever-increasing glass surfaces worrying, which are absolutely not suitable for heavy storms at sea. But then again, most of these yachts do not sail in the Cape Horn area. It is great to see the passion and enthusiasm of Director Ross Gill, almost palpable during his presentation of these beautiful ships. A very nice video series Nick, and unfortunately it is almost time to bring Smuggler's blues out of the water and into winter storage. My Jetskis have already had a winter service and the boat will be out of the water in mid-October. And then this winter I will play golf instead of sailing. Until the next.
I've watched this whole series but haven't commented until now. What an epic, detailed overview of what it takes to build these yachts. The yacht looks incredible, and it's all thanks to the people who I imagine could never afford to buy one but obviously take great pride in what they do. They deserve recognition, and I think your video helped to do that. Great content as always, Nick
What a treat to see the inner workings of such an amazing company, with a finished product that can compete with the world's best. Ross was superb in showing us the elements of the build and I can only wish Princess the best for a continuing success story.
Nick this series of videos is one of the best you have done. Ross was brilliant showing you and us around. I hope you get he opportunity to do more of these for us.
From the inception on the engineer screen to the final product delivered, so many hands has worked to make this "work of art" a reality. The final price is in the quality of the products but also in the numbers of work hours and in the dreams in brings with her. Thanks Nick, and kudos to all at Princess Yachts.
That was AMAZING to see this one from the very start to the end was EPIC MASSIVE THANKS to you nick for taking us along and if you could pass on a MASSIVE THANKS to Ross for allowing us to come along with you can't believe the transformation it's absolutely beautiful yacht again THANKS Nick ps you let us down that one surely deserved a Big Mirror wave 👋 👋 lol looking forward to the full tour
What a fantastic series ! Complelty engrossing to see these amazing machines come together and to see the detail and craftsmanship involved. Thanks for doing this Nick !!
What a fantastic series, each one has been an eye opener. All of the top quality crafts people working to make the new owners dreams come true and through Nick we have had the privilege of following that journey from start to finish. A big thank you to all at Princess for letting us all see all of this, thank you all. Next job is Nick getting one of them and following his journey (Well I can dream).
Kudos to the marketing team at Princess for (presumably) helping make this series possible. It’s one thing to think you have an idea of what goes into a vessel like this but quite another to see it. And of course thanks to you, Nick, for taking us on this journey. Bravo.
Fantastic Thank you ✨ I’d be interested to see / learn about the pre delivery “naming” of the yacht’s, is it like changing a car log book with a private registration number, Customary renaming ceremony - blessing all that sail in her? 🤔
What an incredible series Nick! Thank you to Princess for allowing us to see behind the curtain. It’s often so easy to overlook the sheer amount of detail, design, engineering, skill and project management that goes into these incredible machines. Superb!
Hi Nick, A huge thank you, to you and Ross and dedicated artisan workers of Princess Yachts for the wonderful journey from part 1 to part 4. I can't wait for the Aquaholic Tour of the Yacht. I hope you do a segment of the sea trials also.
There should be some kind of UA-cam award (BAFTA style) for the interest, information, education, quality and exclusivity of this series. Well done Nick and thank you to Ross and Princess.
That mini series was amazing Nick. Thank you. Ross, thank you to you too. So good to see a salesperson with so much knowledge, pride and sheer joy in what he and his team build on a daily basis. Truly wonderful.
Nick, this series has been absolutely brilliant to watch. I thought The Big Adventure was superb and then you go and up the game! Many thanks for all the effort put in to its creation. Also, like many others have said, Ross was superb and a credit to Princess.
Nick, this series was the tops. Id love to see if we could have similar tours with other companies that make smaller boats. Please tell Ross thank you from the entire aquaholics community. He was spot on and perfect on the tour. I hope we see him in passing again in a video down the road.
Fantastic insight. Ross was an amazing and knowledgable ambassador for Princess. I was blown away by the attention to detail and quality. One small thought: were I in the position to buy a Princess 80, I'd probably think I was the dog's danglies. Seeing a production line with eight of them rolling off at the rate of one a week would make me feel a lot less special.
What an excellent series, Nick. As a boat geek I really appreciate the behind the scenes that goes into these vessels. And to Ross, his level of knowledge on such a large operation is impressive and made the series perfect. I’ll be sure to start watching all videos 3x to help with project Smugglers Blues III 😎
That was a seriously good tour through the whole process, Big thanks to you and Ross, he explained every step of the process so well. It's just remarkable what goes into building these boats, mind boggling stuff.
This series has been absolutely brilliant. Well done Nick, well done! And by the way, Ross is an absolute beast! What a knowledgeable, interesting and entertaining guy. And there is no doubt he is an engineer at heart. He's the guy you want to work with to build your yacht and then go have a pint.
What a fantastic journey you have taken us on, absolutely brilliant, this will be hard to beat. We'll done Nick and Ross, looking forward to the seatrial.
If Princess has a Gold list of staff to retain at all costs, Ross really must be very near the top of that list for sure. Well done Nick, cracking series. 👍
What an outstanding series and thank you Ross for having Nick film this journey. The inside Princess Yachts tour really showed their attention to detail. The only thing left is the sea trial. Thank you Nick!
Nick, Ross, and the entire Princess team, thank you so much for the in-depth documentary on how yachts are built. It's been absolutely fascinating. Thank You!
Absolutely fantastic stuff Nick. What a beautiful boat and what a brilliant and professional company Princess are. Really have enjoyed following these episodes. Credit to Ross as well. He is a credit to the company. Cannot wait to see you do a full tour of this boat in the future. Love your channel Nick. Thank you for allowing us all to be able to see such stunning boats through your channel. Aquaholic is the best. 👍
I absolutely loved this series, and unlike you Nick I am not an incredibly successful social media star... but... I would love the title of this series to be something more positive "What makes a Princess Yacht so special (and so expensive)". I am amazed at the access you have been provided and the incredible knowledge of the products and process that goes into making a very special and beautiful yacht. We can only dream...
This has been an education to watch. I drive an hgv and deliver marine glass into most of the places you've just visited. I've often wondered how they get to the the finished boat from what we take in and this is the answer. Although one day I'd like to get a guided tour lol keep up the good work all at Princess and Aquaholic
What an incredible journey we have been taken on. This whole series has just been fantastic. I appreciate the yachts now far more than I did. A huge thank you to you Nick and Ross for showing us this yacht from its beginning to its final look. This is one series I won't forget in hurry that's for sure. Thank you again
She is a beaut. Having worked with a company that designed the Home Planet exhibit at the Millennium Dome, I understand the work that goes into these fibre glass yachts. I also understand the electrical work and mechanic, but it is still a wonder sometimes how you get from the drawing board (showing my age) to the finished article. A great set of videos Nick and hats off to Princess for letting us in to see what a great British company can do.
Reading through the comments says it all really. This is above and beyond what `I'd normally expect, an excellent series of videos. Worthy of a documentary award!!
Big thank you to Ross and yourself for these awesome from start to finish run through of the amazing amount of work and facilities that go into building these great boats . Kudos to the marketing team at Princess for (presumably) helping make this series possible. It’s one thing to think you have an idea of what goes into a vessel like this but quite another to see it. And of course thanks to you, Nick, for taking us on this journey. Bravo.
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
Fantastic Thank you ✨
I’d be interested to see / learn about the pre delivery “naming” of the yacht’s, is it like changing a car log book with a private registration number, Customary renaming ceremony - blessing all that sail in her? 🤔
🌟 Nick, this is why I'm privileged to be a #patreon and a long-term fan of your work. #brilliantpod
Much appreciated! 😃
What an incredible series Nick! Thank you to Princess for allowing us to see behind the curtain. It’s often so easy to overlook the sheer amount of detail, design, engineering, skill and project management that goes into these incredible machines. Superb!
Our pleasure!
Hi Nick,
A huge thank you, to you and Ross and dedicated artisan workers of Princess Yachts for the wonderful journey from part 1 to part 4. I can't wait for the Aquaholic Tour of the Yacht. I hope you do a segment of the sea trials also.
Our pleasure!
There should be some kind of UA-cam award (BAFTA style) for the interest, information, education, quality and exclusivity of this series. Well done Nick and thank you to Ross and Princess.
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
Outstanding series. Thank you so much Nick and Princess Yachts for giving us all this insight.
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
been waiting for this the whole week :)
Hope you enjoyed it!
Much awaited, Nick! I think this is a fabulous testament to the immense skills of all involved.
Ross is brilliant, he really knows the boats and process. It's amazing what they do, a week previous it looked like it would never be ready. Love it
Amazing series of videos. Well done Nick.
I'm glad that you enjoyed them 🙂
Great, bonus sea trial to look forward to. It was one of those series that I didn’t really want to end.
Nice to hear 🙂
A really amazing series off videos. I’ll never own one, but the craftsmanship and organisation of the manufacturing process are hugely impressive.
Absolutely loved this series Nick and Ross imo deserves a pay rise❤
That mini series was amazing Nick. Thank you. Ross, thank you to you too. So good to see a salesperson with so much knowledge, pride and sheer joy in what he and his team build on a daily basis. Truly wonderful.
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
When Ross says that he is very proud of the boats and of the people who build them it is very evidently so. Great boat and great video mate.
I'm glad that you enjoyed it 🙂
Nick, this series has been absolutely brilliant to watch. I thought The Big Adventure was superb and then you go and up the game! Many thanks for all the effort put in to its creation. Also, like many others have said, Ross was superb and a credit to Princess.
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
Thank you Nick and Ross! A fabulous and insightful series! Looking forwards to the full Acquaholic tour!
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
4:59 Nick straightens out the wheel......made me smile!
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
That was a seriously good tour through the whole process, Big thanks to you and Ross, he explained every step of the process so well. It's just remarkable what goes into building these boats, mind boggling stuff.
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
I'm glad that you enjoyed it 🙂
What an outstanding series and thank you Ross for having Nick film this journey. The inside Princess Yachts tour really showed their attention to detail. The only thing left is the sea trial. Thank you Nick!
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
Nick, Ross, and the entire Princess team, thank you so much for the in-depth documentary on how yachts are built. It's been absolutely fascinating. Thank You!
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
Thank you!!
I'm glad that you enjoyed it 🙂
Well done Nick excellent video and looks like a top quality product and British I can’t decide between The S the X Thanks
Thank you!
I like the S as it can go under Most bridges while still having all the space.
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
Had to laugh when your OCD kicked in when you got to the helm, not once but twice 😂🤣You know what I’m talking about Nick .
Can not wait for the sea trail
I'm glad that you enjoyed them 🙂
@@AQUAHOLIC
Can not wait for the video in the sea trial
Please tell for not just me but all your subscribers that Ross is such an informative person and a great employee for the brand ,
Fantastic series of video's. Well done Nick and Princess.
Glad you like them!
14:38 Seeing the water through the window at the bottom of the stairs is a nice perspective.
This has been a fantastic series and I personally have learned a great deal. Many thanks to Princess and of course Nick for the wonderful footage. 🍷
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
Absolutely brilliant series, Thank you Ross and Nick for bringing us the series on the build of a Princess, top class craftsman👏
Thank you for four fantastic videos and congratulations to Ross he did an excellent job in going through every process, cant believe he knows every part for every boat they make. Hope he gets a big bonus for his part in this epic journey.
I'm glad that you enjoyed them 🙂
Huge thanks to Ross and Princess. Loved the series and nice to see the exceptional hard work of everyone in the factory. Can't believe he spent four weeks showing you around 😆 Look forward to sea trial.
I'm glad that you enjoyed them 🙂
Absolutely gorgeous boat, and a fantastic insight into the making of a yacht. Huge praise to everyone at princess yachts, they really do build a beautiful yacht. And of course well done Nick for another brilliant video 👏👏👏👏👏
You're very kind 🙂
Amazing series Nick. Really interesting on how these beautiful yachts are designed and built. Ross is an encyclopaedia of knowledge , he is a credit to Princess, and comes across as really genuine man who loves his profession. As always tho Nick, you’ve gone beyond any other YT channel, amazing work, well done Nick.
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
