The fastest way to a healthy gut - 30 different plant foods in 7 days

- I am always looking for ways to improve my health. More and more science is pointing towards gut health being a big component of overall health.
Opinion is changing about how we should be consuming our plant food. Instead of the five a day fruit and veg target that has been around for years, the latest advice is all about diversity. People like scientist Dr Tim Spector believe that eating a large variety of plant foods is very important when it comes to feeding our good bacteria. A target he suggests is to try to eat at least 30 different plant foods over seven days.
So that is what I tried to do. This video follows my week of eating as I share all my meals in an attempt to hit the magic 30 different plant foods over 7 days.

Enjoyed the video. You're looking quite healthy! Though I have room for improvement, I eat fairly balanced meals. I, too, eat the same foods for breakfast. We use the same glass storage containers. Keep at it!

Hi, Peter, good to see you! Is your diet different since your cancer surgery? What would you guesstimate the gram amount of protein?
kefir is full of good bacteria. helps to absorb magnesium and magnesium is needed for the body to function correctly the reason why we need eat vegies

Fermented food cannot be from the shop jar, because it' should be buzzing with bacteria and making bubbles. Lots of recepes on here how to make home made fermented veggies, and it's easy - shop /slice, add salt and leave to ferment for three days or so. I'm an avid sauerkraut maker, it's delisious, the shop bought one is not as good, and I can alsosay - totally different..
