Some advice from an old man equipment fixer and flipper: the longer you keep anything the easier it is to convince yourself you need to keep it.....
Yes, been there lol I wanna get it gone quickly
Can agree. The more I mess around with something, the more reasons I come up with to keep it.
@@thomas7529 But but LOOK AT IT, surely you can find a job for it?? :p
@@Wayoutthere Let's be realistic, he'll proably need any specific licence to opertae professionaly with this monster. PLus a real truc kto haul this heavy piece of equipment. And the truck licence that goes with it. That's a lots of money to spend even before you have a job.
@@tomjoad1363 Pretty sure he already has a CDL.
I just described your channel to a friend as “roadkill with heavy equipment”. Honestly I think it’s accurate at this point.
Lol right that's a good one
I resemble that remark!!! Haha thanks!
@@DieselCreek your welcome! As a heavy equipment tech it’s nice to see people still value the iron that can be fixed with wrenches.
@@deeredrummer47 the stuff they build now wouldn't last as long as the old stuff an still run. The old stuff is the solid stuff. My skid steer breaks a decent amount it's mostly electric stuff or sensors ect.. the cat 180 at work will engage the parking break while driving at least I think that's what's going on.
@@DieselCreek got your self a good size loader handy for plowing deep heavy wet snow
Hi, I'm Laurajane and I am from New Zealand.I started my apprenticeship around 1970 on this kind of equipment and generator sets. A friend told me about this channel. The more I saw the more that I liked. Great job on the Clark loader. I knew them quite well. My family owned a limestone quarrie. Worked there before I went overseas. Have a masters degree in marine engineering. Retired now. This is wonderful ❤️
Thanks for sharing!
I particularly liked that part were you said you could have got it for less than $1500 but you choose for it be a fair deal for both parties. That speaks volumes about who you are as a person 👏👏
$1500 is dirt cheap for that machine, even if it needs a couple thousand $ worth of hoses
@@thesteelrodent1796 $1500 is only a dirt cheap deal if you have the know how to get it running.
I'm an old retired heavy equipment mechanic sitting here on a saturday morning with a huge smile watching you getting that thing moving and driving. Thanks! Suggestion for more subscribers, Don't change anything!
You gotta 'pay to play' indeed, but seeing the smile on your face when you drove it up that road, I'm sure it was worth it!
Your comment was the one on the page, I was actually wondering if he got it ready and drove it and I scanned down and read your comment! Spoiler!! Lol.
Gee wiz its the post apocalyptic inventor.

Was gonna make the same comment. The world of UA-cam is definitely not to huge either 😃
Hey Mr. TPAI I'm suscribes to your channel!
It's just great!
Viel glück!
Greetings from Argentina!
So happy to see you here TPAI
never fails to impress me how tough those big machine tires are still after sitting neglected for awhile
Growing up in the 1950’s in West Texas when big farms were replacing small farms our family used big loaders like these to handle cotton burrs from gins for fertilizer. It does my heart good to see this loader come to life.
The entire time you were driving home I was thinking if I tried that it would blow about 3 lines and break down right in the middle of the road LOL
Dont forget somehow blowing a tire or shearing an axle on a totally flat surface..
Hey bud! Nice to see ya here... yes that’s exactly what I was worried about!! Not sure my dump truck could even drag that thing off the road if something happened! I was really nervous pulling the last hill but luckily it all went well! I Really “dig” your stuff man!
I was thinking I wouldn't have made it to the end of the driveway. Matt sure is great to have around...

My uncle ran those for years and taught me how to operate that exact loader from the time I was five, and my cousin can do majic with one too. Thanks for the video it brought back fond memories!
Dont sell it. This is the new star on your channel. Autocar truck got over run. Great job!
That 555 with no exhaust gives me goosebumps. Im impressed with it firing off so quick. She isn't ready to die yet.
Awesome job man. Your channel and what you do is the most worthy channel to watch on UA-cam in my option. You saved that old girl and restored a new life into it rather then letting it rust into the ground 👍🏻
My hats off to him for poring the tranny fluid correctly at 4:04. Always keep the spout at the top side of the container. This allows air to get in so it doesn't glug, glug, glug and spill all over the place. Works with all liquids so remember this if you didn't know.
So true most people don't know that
No shit everybody knows that

I learned that by pouring gasoline into lawnmowers and atv-s :D

Sorry to write a second time. My dad's contracting firm had a '60s vintage Michigan 75 non-articulating loader that I just loved (rear wheel steer). It was the coolest looking machine. It was operated by a wonderful 'good old boy' with the improbable name of Stomper Skeeter. He was a cracker jack on that loader. He would drive it across town backwards as though he were driving a caddy! I loved it so much, that I'd sneak up on that Michigan loader whenever I could and start moving some dirt around. I was just a kid, so it's lucky I didn't drive it into something. I loved the sound of that Detroit Diesel two-stroke engine too. Your loader brings back great memories, even if that Cummins motor is a four-stroke one. These 175's and 275's were used often on large diameter sewer and storm water pipeline projects.
Matt, I'm just like you. I hate seeing anything scrapped if there is any chance of giving it new life. I'm just amazed though that you are able to sell stuff as quickly as you do. I guess when you are in the business, you always have something up your sleeve. I sold tools for 40 years so I knew where the deals were and who wanted what. Thanks for all you do to keep things interesting. I have watched all your videos from the oldest up to this one. I am anxious to see what happens next.
If I could give you five likes I would Matt. No five min intros, no click bait, no overly produced ten min segments etc. Great work.
When you were twisting apart the old crappy hose I said to myself " he's gonna need that for the length ".
Same and I'm a 16 Year old from Jamaica! I love these stuff!
Woooh! These two parters were really awesome, I'm excited you were able to get her running...
I'm excited to see how our society unfolds from these interesting times, lol...
Cheers to many more, Blissful moments~
Matt I can watch your shows all day long I don't care if there reruns or not I really enjoyed watching your show they are a lot of other shows that I watch and they do bring your name up every once awhile so that tells me right there that you are the man you do a great job and what you do Matt keep going brother keep going
When they start like that. Its a keeper.
Dude that was a smokin deal for both parties. It's not just anyone who would come in and get an old abandoned machine up and running again. Well done Sir!
whatever happened to it did he sell it?????
@@rsprockets7846 I don't remember for sure, he may have because is was bigger than he needed. But he had it around the farm for while.
Good video. I'm fighting cancer and just subscribed to your channel few days ago lots to catch up. Keep them coming
A truly inspirational video …. You hate to see old iron get wasted and you made a modest investment that seems to have paid off.
This is the dream of every grown man who grew up playing with tonka toys as a kid.
Perfectly said‼️ 👏 💯 🎉
Omg I had the exact same Tonka tractor when I was 5 I'm now 50
I have to agree, I rather enjoy these guys bringing these things back from the dead.
$1500 dollars?? That is INSANE! I'd love to see a series where you patch it up and paint it, If I were you I'd never sell it!
Yep 👍
It was a great deal.
Literally less than scrap iron price.
Ik I was thinking he was gonna say 20k or someware around there
Keeping this thing running will be a nightmare. Do you have enough gravel to load to make it worth it? It's only good for a couple jobs.
YAY! Great price! Please make a part three. Would love to see you powerwash it, and prime/paint it, (brakes maybe???) then USE it for some home road renovations, and THEN sell it!
I know this loader has become a subscriber magnet real quick. Don't beat yourself up too much for wanting to flip it. Bit of paint, few fixups and it could fund something that has real utility for you. 👍
I love your compassion for old dinosaur equipment restoration.
You will not sell her! You are already in love and will keep the girl :D
I think he's there too...
I was going to say pretty much exactly that, also.
Your series of programs are as exiting for me as they appear to be for you, absolutely great and that's from the UK.
Awesome job man. Your channel and what you do is the most worthy channel to watch on UA-cam in my option. You saved that old girl and restored a new life into it rather then letting it rust into the ground
When I (swiss) did a roadtrip in California and there would be a "narrow road" sign, I didn't know what difficulties to expect, but then the road would slim down to a pretty comfortable european road :)
I was actually excited with you when it drove out of that hole. I love to see old machines live again.

@@bigsparky8888 Yeah people throw away way too soon she is a mechanical beauty good luck great video thanks.

Nice job!! I love seeing old stuff getting back to work!!
Love your openness and honesty.. and everything else.
Man that triumphant drone shot towards the end gave me such a good feeling!! I love to see you bring this behemoth back to life!!
That loader looked so happy driving down the road again. It's nice of you to make a loader happy.
Just keep doing what you do. It’s a pleasure to watch you bring back too life a machine that others have given up on. Matt I enjoy your channel.
I have to admit that it makes me smile when I see how excited you get when you get whatever you're working on started.
$1500? You stole it! Fantastic find and great to see it alive again. Well done.
At least when you got bent over with the tire expensive you had plenty of lubricants around to make it less painful:-)
Complements of a non-mechanical nature: You Video skills are awesome! If you are self-taught, much respect to you, for your end product. Production values, close up shots, lighting, & positioning are not only admirable, but very 'warm'. I could go on and on, but your Drone skills topped it all off! Kudos to you!
Love to see this old stuff run again
Love it 300ft dip stick that cracked me up 😂
I've known people like you and all of their combined energy and enthusiasm and laser focus at crucial moments combined wouldn't equal what you demonstrate with these things you share with us. On top of that you are producing excellent, thoughtful videos. Thanks.
always nice seeing new life breathed into old machines
Wow, what a deal! So good to see her resurrected from her grave. Can't believe it fired up that quickly after all that time. Hope you get a great price for it when you're ready.

Boy have things changed.I have made and sold those hoses for less than a hundred.Great video.
I´m thinking the next step is a good steamy pressure washing, also don't sell it, as it is hella cool.
Unfortunately, hella cool doesn't pay the mortgage...

Matt, There are so many channels of people flipping houses, it's a nice change to see yours flipping heavy machinery.
yeah now the prices of heavy equipment are gonna go up, oof
Loaders' value is only 4k tops.
Just discovered your channel and love it. No stupid clothing or rediculous talk. Just normal commentary and great knowledge along with tons of interesting detail. Thank you and subscribed!
SAMO SAMO!!!!
I've got absolutely nothing to do with machines and stuff - and I still enjoy watching your videos! Part is the joy of watching someone who is good at what he's doing. But I think even more it's you being you: Honest, authentic, passionate, but still down to earth and most important: You don't give up easily! And I also like the simple way you film and edit. Greetings from Switzerland in the middle of Europe.
I know nothing about your passion (loaders). It is exhilarating to see you get this beauty to start.
The loader was a "Can't leave it there for that price" deal. Even if you never got it running and driving, it's worth that much in parts and scrap. You have the "luck of the Irish" finding these old girls at a reasonable price. Best of luck, and can't wait for more videos.
The talk at the end about not being ready to sell it; I don’t think it’s going away.
As long as you aren't hurting anybody, enjoy yourself.. I was hoping that you were going to get this old girl on the road. I hope that you have fun using her before you sell it. You are living the life..
Love seeing these old machines come back to life! I really enjoy your videos!
Its amazing how tough trees are...Hit one with a car the tree will always win. Hello from the UK.
You finished what the Old Man started. You now hold the title for the world's longest oil change. She's a mean sounding machine with a whole lotta stories to tell i bet.
It's brilliant that you never appear to be to be negative when it comes to getting life into machines that have been sitting for years, you always look at the positive side of any old lifeless machinery that has clearly not been moved for years. Big respect for bringing life to things most would just cut them up for scrap. Also I hope the artist gets some work pushed her way from the brilliant pastel picture she did, it is a great bit of artistry and she should be making money big time as she clearly has amazing skills. 👏👏
2.8 Congrats to fixing, purchasing it, and getting it back to you Farm. be safe. I love to watch.
