Tbh the solo (at least in the full version) is really well put in the sense that it's MEANT to sound like a horse shoving his dick in a Labrador and a hamster at the same time. It's pure chaos and it's extremely effective (the song, not the orgy)

I've always noticed that where the audio on the right guitar would drop for a split second. It would always bug me. I'm guessing it was recorded okay as I think they'd have had him do another take. My guess is maybe something happened during the mixing or something. But I don't get how they let something like that out as it's a big flaw that can be easily heard in the mix.
Feedback with amp and 2 different reverbs: long and very long. To take a better effect you can add 3’th reverb and send to it second long reverb. With good mix it’s sound insane.
this is what modern metal bands will never understand - listen to how natural this sounds, how all the imperfections are left in. because in the end that human factor makes all the difference and that's why this is a classic and most modern metal albums are artificial, sterile trash.
Listen to seasons in the abyss. Far less sloppy. Also, the song variation actually exists on that album. On this album, every song sounds like exactly the same. Easily their best.

I've been trying to play this and without the other instruments I finally realize how much fucking distortion there is.
They add a EQ after the preamps. Most Eq's are wired before the preamp tubes. Kerry uses the JCM's cranked live and lots of overdrive
