6. They do. hull break. Fragmentation. If you're talking specifically permanent armour damage, thats a limitation of the game engine and the damage models. Not much can be done short of a massive game overhaul.

Missile terminology:
Fox 1: Radar guided
Fox 2: Heatseeking
Fox 3: Radar and heatseeking
The term “Fox” is not used for how many missiles you have fired.
Adam Long fox 1 is brevity for semi-active radar homing like aim-7’s and S530’s. Fox 3 is for active radar homing, missiles that can go pitbull and can guide themself to the target without an aircraft painting the target, like the aim-120.

My friend is an Apache pilot and this was his reaction to the video:
here’s the similarities and differences i’ve found in the video. So basically what he’s using in the beginning is what we call the TSE (target state estimator) essentially it calculates a few different variables for you like winds, bullet drop, movement of target, range etc. and makes it so you don’t have to lead your targets as long as you are getting a steady laser on target prior/during firing. This however only works for the 30mm Cannon when its linked to your TADS (target aquisition device, I think idk we just call it TADS), and it does not work if you link the 30mm to your helmet (basically you can slave the gun to your line of sight so if you look right or left or up or down the gun looks that way too since its on a gyro and you can shoot at what you are looking at). The TSE however doesn’t work for the rockets like in this simulator. Also I have never seen air to air rockets like he’s shooting. I understand that apaches can use stinger missiles but have never seen it (as we have had air superiority since its been in use). Also one other thing was that the standoff ranges for hellfire is max 8KM, so you can engage targets effectively out to that range, but this guy wasn’t using hellfire so makes sense why he was closer to his targets. But in regards to the look of the bird its dead on and the type of ammo we use for the 30mm HEDP is right on and the fact that it can penetrate 2.5 inches of armor at 2000m roughly.

@@steinblitz1506 No offense but you're probably not doing it right. As shown in this video, a quick squeeze with the 30mm will kill any SPAA very quickly. Hide behind something, pop up, squeeze, and go back into cover. Hide close to the cover so the missile has no chance of pulling hard enough to get you.

US attackers are sooo easy. You kill 5 light pillboxes and almost guaranteed top 3 on your team. You kill 10 or more and you're most likely first on your team

I also noticed an "extinguisher" key binding in the plane controls section a quite few weeks ago (full realistic controls/manual engine controls), hoping that planes that historically had something similar (like the B-17 or the TB-3) built in, now can put out engine fire, but no luck so far finding a plane where that button has any effect...
It’s like watching the actual Apache videos and just seeing them hold the sights on a group of people then all of a sudden a dust cloud starts popping up😂

@@emilgirginov9848 Well afaik, Germany only has one KV-2 (Kv-II 754(r)). Russia has KV-2 1939, KV-2 1940 (rare event vehicle) and KV-2 with a 107mm instead of a 152mm. So in total there are only 4, 1 in Germany, 3 in Russia.
@@SAUBER_KH7 I know how many kv tanks there are in game. The german one does count. You cant make a KV lineup with one KV. And the kv2 with 107 mm also does not count because its HE shell is useless (except for anti-air and armored cars). Only the KV2 1939 and 1940 have a good HE shell so that makes 2 tanks and i dont think you can call this a lineup. And by the way he already has a video playing both of these tanks and has played them on streams too.

The apache cannon round is DU, which has both an armor piercing effect and incendiary effect (it's pyrophoric I think, igniting when it is pulverized into a powder or dust, like when it hits armor). That is what they are supposed to be anyway.

I have never actually been able to get into War Thunder. It takes wayyy to long to get good vehicles.
A Little Tip, Play the Americans or The Russians.. It helps a lot. Trust me, I Love my British vehicles(I am Polish so there is zero bias involved) , but i still've got to admit that if you are a new and therefore a unexperianced player it is best for you to play as the Yankees or Ivans as your starting nations so you won't get to frustrated.
Yeah. They advertise these helos and top tier vehicles, so people come for that, and then realize they have to grind through 100 years of warfare to get there. Huge turn off. I started many years ago so I just sort of get the newer stuff as they come out, but starting fresh you're boned.

I know it’s a bit late but the 30mm M789 HEDP shell has a HEAT component in the rear of the shell (explosive filler with copper jet) with fragmentation components and fuse in the mid to front of the shell.

I've seen the Dutch Air Force Apache demo team fly a few times, the maneuvers these things are capable of is AMAZING. I'm also training for infantry, so in the future I'll probably be guarded by these guys providing CAS. Let's just say I'm very confident in their ability to provide said CAS.
