Catching The Infamous "Hogfish"

The legal size for a hogfish here is 18 inches to the fork, this one was 19 so we did end up keeping it.

What did you use for bait

This was in the summer, but I used a king prawn head I think, you can pick them up at most marketplaces. If you wanna save money you can catch small mudcrabs by flipping rocks, they tend to stay on the hook better and are usually my go to bait for hogs.
