South Africa has been making and fishing with baits boats for 30 years easily. They are an absolute game changer. And can be very precise when having to fish in tight spots.
This is prabably the best newest design rc boat with gps out in the market. First time me and my brother use rc boat was actually 20 years ago. We have no remote. Just an on and off button. Attach with 2 stergon rod as a retriver and another rod to attach your line and bait. The way you control left and right is just hold onto your line and the boat turn toward tge direction you want. We will set our line 100-200ft and drop it way out for big striper fish. Fun time.
Not IGFA legal but I don't think it's cheating cause you still need to drop your baits in the right place. You just won't get the credit if you catch an IGFA record.
Hey Skipper, thanks for such an educational video that is kid-friendly. My 5-year-old daughter love watching them like the sweedish fish one. God bless you and your wife.
People in the uk have been using that method for carp on big lake's where you can see a load of lilly pads growing in the middle of the lake planted there on purpose and it gets your bait right up against them without risks like with casting when you have a 50/50 chance of casting short or too Far and i often thought about getting one for beach fishing as most of the local beaches are really slow shelving and it could be upto 250 to 300 yards before your among the fish and casting that distance presents a few challenges but one of those boats would be perfect for flounder bay as i call it. Excellent content 👌
i love swimming out in that exact spot, it's very challenging to free-swim out there but so rewarding when you come back and then look back at what you've done. Very invigorating.
A big thing down here ( NZ ) are motorised wave piercing torpedoes, taking out multi hook long lines... drops the line and returns home...leave the line out for a while, then reel the line back in, onto a large hand drum.. sometimes catch your bag limit in one set
You and Erin are awesome..We try to do the same work hard Mon to Fri and be on the Beach on the weekend with our son and Dog Faith....Keep doing what ya'll are doing...
It is cheating and not sportsman like. They should take away all of their fishing licenses, if they have any. Thought: Sharks on jeeps eating fisherman who bend the rules. NOPE.
Not cheating, Resourceful. I was a remote control hobbyist for over 40 years. I had been doing this for decades, so don't think it's a new idea. Although my homemade boat was a lot slower, and didn't have the technology of today, it got the job done!
If you could figure out how to mount the deeper sonar, it would be an awesome efficiency multiplier by being able to see bottom contour and bathymetry to better place your baits in high percent areas. Maybe even mark fish/bait! I’ve been dying to get a drone but with this boat and possibly sonar, this might be the ticket! I’m curious to see longevity because it could take fishing trips to another level!
Sonar would be awesome , I use a drone to drop bait and have that problem of not knowing the deepest parts when casting. Nonetheless it’s almost like cheating 😅😂
Just want to say I always enjoy your videos. I can tell you and your family are having a good time. The ev boat gave me an idea. That's what people looking for lake monsters need. They could zoom right up to an object in time to see what it is.😊
Check your local regs. I believe it's illegal to fish this way all along California's 840 mile coastline. But then most days the waves make your "big waves" look like teeny little rollers.
Could you release more videos with you and Erin, after you return home with the fish fileting them and cooking them and also do y'all have a cookbook with all your recipes?
Awesome video! Between Hey Skipper and WILD LIFE, they both released videos today with tiny boats for dropping the line further out. I bet tons of people saw this kind of fishing for the first time today!
what would be awesome is to have a fish finder/active depth unit on board too... be able to "see" whats below the boat. Have it send the signal to a smart phone for the visuals....
Omg u finally made a video about this boat. I watched many video about this boat. Very interested to have this boat. Eventho I know I cannot afford it hahaha. Last time I watch your surf fishing video using drone, then I bought one. The cheapest drone in the market. Yeah they cannot do the job. It is sad to be an amateur angler. I'm sure many of us can relate😅

Carp and catfish fisherman in uk and, Europe have been using them for a decade. They come with bait hoppers, gps, fish finder, sonar, led, lights. Not for me, but yes they have massive advantages. Getting into islands, under trees and, holes what would be impossible to cast to.
It’s fun to have those drones. I however, would put another GoPro on the bottom of the boat and let my kids explore the beach while I catch dinner for them. I wonder how long do those batteries last? I need to know if you went out of range, will the drone know to return to base? Thanks guys for a very entertaining video. Those bikes are awesome too.
The boat could take minutes to go out a couple hundred yards. How about a fish finder with a similar bait drop mechanism that attaches to a drone. Surveying/drop cycles would be quicker by air and bait dropped only where the finder shows hits. Drones already have the same gps homing.
We used to tie ballons to lifesavers that attached to leader to float out baits and we would cast what we could and allow balloon to carry bait out until lifesaver melted and released fishing line dropping our bait much further then we could cast, that still works today and my solution costs a $1 for lifesavers and a small piece of light line plus cost of one small balloon and this solution requires you buy a RC boat and charge it to do about the same thing and then you have to hope you aren't 20ft on a pier where you cant really drop your boat to use it at all, so yours is a Surf Only Option
I was watching these guys fishing for yellowtail off Huntington Pier using a quad drone and mackerel looking lurers. They caught 7 big Bonita's and one 20lb Yellowtail...
It's no more cheating than the bass guys with their forward and side facing sonar! In fact, it's not nearly as much! While the boat is pretty cool, I think flying drones are much faster and more efficient at running out bait! You can also get a great view!
wow that was so much fun to watch! Great camera work, and loved all the different species. Might I suggest bells on your rod, so you don't miss those bites?
No not at all, some of Us cannot (for many reasons) make long casts from the beach any more!! Can You put a Hummingbird Wi-Fi transducer on Your RC Cruiser? That would be cool!!! Happy Fishing and Tight Lines always
i got one of those boats but not for the oceans but inland and i got the same set up this year with the bike and the tow behind i can wait for the thaw and the season to start
Awesome! If you found this helpful you gotta check out my website, I custom make a ton of gear to help you with your next fishing trip! www.heyskipperfishing.com 😄

In my place (Réunion island, Indian Ocean) we use to go fishing with flying drones. They do the same stuff but travel quicker. And: they an go out for 3-5 km, if your fishing gear holds that much line.....
Like the old saying goes... if you ain't cheating... you ain't trying :) Curious how you transport it? Do you use a big case? Big bag? How are you moving it around?
Saltwater and electronics always tough. Who has used for 10 or more trips in salt? How is the build quality? I would use for 10 or 12 hours per trip. How many trips you think before you have to replace entire boat?
I freeze my bait over night inside PVC and shoot it out a potatoe launcher with a solar powered motorized winch ... clearly shooting over a mile out 😁.. big fish
Very cool! Sometimes it's just nice to be out there chilling and just fishing in peace. But then there are times I wana catch some dam fish and make a good feast and this is bad ass!

Is it cheating? IDK I need you to let me borrow it for a couple of days. Really check it out and I'll tell you what I think.
Rotf
I prefer using an aerial drone to fly out and drop the bait. It’s quite a lot quicker.
This boat is fine too.
@@mtkoslowski what!!! That's sick awesome 😎😎💯
only when you bring a bag of fish from your local shop lol

I did this few years back bank fishing from the Missisippi river. They all laughed til I was the only one who caught fish that day.

There channel is honestly one of the best, most wholesome fishing channels I’ve found.
That’s awesome that your 5 year old is into fishing.

Love this. Cheaper than a drone. You won't need to use a really long rod either.

@@chefgiovanni No different than using fish finders on boats. Not cheating in any way. Smart way to fish and save time.
@chefgiovanni it would help older younger people or with disabilities to be able to cast out and fish

Nice. I always say, you can’t argue with results.
Like I said before cat fish fishermen have been doing this for years so they can get past the buoys at the dam

Drop the link for the boat. 😮
I wish the bait slot had 3-4 inserts for separate baits. And there were 3-4 drop release pins for separate lines.
Imagine the mess with the lines

You might want to think about a neck lanyard for that remote. Also it will be interesting to see how the electronics hold up to the saltwater.
in some states yes it is illegal only if the line is tied to the rc boat,, but since it drops the line its fine.
Looks like u need some sort of small foldable table to set your things down on near the rods.
Awsome! 2 fun hobbies at the same time
the name for the boat is DROPPER!!!
Needs a fish finder added
Good idea. It would only be good in places that's not heavily fished though because all the boaters are gonna be pissed off snagging your line.
I live on the Gulf of Mexico and fish quite often but I started watching your video and could not stop!!! I thoroughly enjoyed watching your video
What brand of rc boat are you using it was not listed. It looks fun
