I'd be curious to see what you think about the Athleta performance leggings. I've had mine for 5+ years and they are still holding up well, no rips, no pills, fit me well (not meant for curvy people, but athletic body styles). I've never tried their yoga style leggings.

I understand workout outfits are kind of fashion statement but don’t believe leggings should cost over $100 no matter how comfortable or whatever reasons.
I do cardio kickboxing, HIT, Pilates, running and I wear $13 Yogalicious leggings I find at TJ Maxx and they are lasting for 7 years.

as a lululemon girly - i don’t see people talk often about lululemon like new - but they have their own resale site where you can buy used stuff and it’s SO cheap and the stuff ive gotten literally looks brand new. i’ve gotten so much from them - i recently got two pairs of the groove nulu flare leggings for less than one pair costs normally! you can even sign up for an alert for the product/color you want in your size and it’ll alert you when it’s in stock. absolute best way to get lulu cheap !!

PLEASEEE do the OFFLINE by Aerie High Waisted Crossover Leggings!! I have 8 pairs in black and it is the only kind I wear! I wear them hiking, pilates, weight lifting, lounging, etc and they're so comfy. Also I think snatch your waist better than any other type of leggings which of course is motivating to go workout since you look cute while doing it!!! I recommend them to everyone although they definitely could be more durable now that I'm watching this video. I love your strong fun free girly vibes 🩷🩷

Personally, the only Born Primitive legging I would even consider recommending is the Eccentric. In general, I've found their quality has gone downhill a lot in that couple of years. My older stuff is much better than the stuff they sell now. The only thing I buy from them anymore is their shoes. If you want a veteran-owned, cottage type brand in the US, I recommend Wild South over BP.

I HOPE this includes Old Navy LOL! Hands down the most durable, flattering (especially in the belly area LOL), squat proof, size/height inclusive and long lasting leggings I've ever owned! And they ALWAYS make sure they have different types of matching bras and tops, which are EXTREMELY supportive. I usually wait until they go on sale, but even when not, they are still worth it compared to some of these luxury athletic brands. OLD NAVY for the win hahaha

Totally agree! I recently tried on my first pair of lululemon leggings at their store, I was not impressed. I was wearing a pair of old navy leggings that day so had a direct comparison….the lulus were more restrictive and didn’t make my legs or butt look any different than the old navy ones. So yeah, lulu is too hyped up imo.

Lululemon Fast and Free leggings, crops and shorts are by far the best running and cardio tights that can also be worn all day. They deserve massive credit. I am a long time serious runner and endurance athlete and I live in all of the fast and free series of bottoms and they are the most comfortable to wear at work, great to have a pocket to carry your phone around the workplace without hand holding it. I wear for any kind of exercise- hiking, running, weight lifting- and they're perfect. Medium compression and contouring so not the kind of leggings I would want to lounge around in. My favourite leggings: some random brand I picked up for 20EUR in a sports shop in Germany. They had a drawstring (vital for me with my belly, leggings without drawstrings never stay up), and pockets, and I wore them for everything. Running, gym, pilates, everything. After 15 years they were basically see-through and pilled into the next dimension, so I had to get rid of them, but I loved them so much. They were perfect. Nothing's ever fit so well since.

This was the best video (selfishly you're also my favorite creator)- In my honest opinion, I will say I have the alo airlift leggings and I am on the curvier side (between size 4-6, 5'2) and they were the worst leggings for running, they constantly rolled down and I felt that I had to hike them up every few seconds, but that may be due to my body shape! This is the first video of yours I've seen and it was SUPER helpful! I love how much info you packed in and that you actually worked out in all of them. A few things if you do another video like this: if you could please get light/bright colored leggings when you're buying new, that would be helpful to help me as a viewer distinguish what they look like (hard to tell with black). And if you could show a 360 of them on in bright lighting, super helpful as well. (You kinda already did that though!) I don't like leggings with a front seam so I like to be able to see if they have that. THANK YOU for talking about the lengths available. As a tall girly (5'11) I'll usually only shop if a place has at minimum 28" inseams available. Very through, much appreciated!

I feel like you did Athleta dirty in this video. My all time favorite pair of leggings are from there and they are 4 years old, looking good as new. I rock climb, run, weight lift, yoga and really everything in them. Don't get me wrong, they have some low quality lounge around the house ones, but they also have really durable ones to market to a range of people. They are also a Certified B Corp

I bought a bunch of Fabletics about 5 years ago and they are still my favorite. My friend convinced me to buy them when a German Shepherd bit her while she was on her run, and she didn’t even know she had a full on dog bite until she got home because the pants were still perfect. Her skin was torn up though, not to mention the intense bruising.

Great job, I’ve tried a lot of these lines, not all, and would say you nailed it with the ones Ive tried across the board. Very informative and helpful for those who don’t want to spend the cash to find the right ones. My absolute faves are the Wunder Train Contour (for my girlies who struggle with the waist to butt ratio) from Lululemon and I use them for everything! The Amazon ones are a great dupe but they are so shear if you step into direct sunlight you can see almost everything haha. I want to try the Alphalete for that extra booty contour. I find Old Navy is great for tops like their Define Jacket dupe but the bottoms show every little imperfection. Thanks Keltie!

Unpopular opinion I think, but my favorite leggings are Carhartt leggings. They are RIDICULOUSLY durable! I lift in them, I run in them, and I wear them as my day to day pants. The only thing I dislike them for, is wearing them undeneath my gi when I do jiu jitsu, they are HORRIBLE for that.
They also feel so much less exposed than any other leggings I've ever tried, and while they seem so far from popular that they're almost a secret, they quickly also became the favorite of the only other girl I know to have tried them too! 🤷‍♀️

3 reasons I don’t buy leggings w/o pockets: phone, keys, headphones. I don’t want to spend $100+ on leggings and then also need a gym bag and lock for a locker. I want to walk in, work out, and leave.
That said, my 2 favorite leggings came from a thrift store, and sis cut the tag out, so I have no idea where they came from 😭
ETA: I think I found them! JCPenny Xersion. Cute print and side pockets, squat-proof, stay up, slight compression, minimal pilling, low cost.

such a shame the old navy ones never made it. i had the powersculpt leggings that is now discontinued and it was THEE best legging i had ever gotten, and on sale for $20. it was more compression while the powersoft is more naked, but i had to give it away since i lost weight and needed to size down, but by then, i couldn’t repurchase 😭
would LOVE to see a part two of this with AYBL and youngLA (since they’re a cousin to gymshark)

My alltime favorites are swedish Aim'n sportswear, I've owned pairs since they first launched that I only threw out because the old ones was out of style crazy patterns, but their ribbed collection is just gold and I wear them 4-6 times a week and have owned them for years and used them for both weightlifting and pilates. When I feel a little cheeky I go for Linn Löwes Stacci leggins and shorts

I have the Nike Go wordspaghetti leggings. You didn't mention the 3 pockets on the back! There are 3 open top-loading pockets on the back waistband, think like on a cycling jersey. They're great for my gels and asthma inhaler when running. I have the full length and 5" version for summer running. The drawstring is absolutely necessary for the high hip:waist ratio girlies, I tighten that right up

I've just started going back to gymnastics classes since I was a teenager (I'm now 38), so this video is so timely! I think for tumbling/floor you need something in the middle, but if you're doing more apparatus work, especially with chalk, then the really durable leggings win out. Pleased to have discovered girlfriend collective through your video too!

I'm almost always on a budget but the one thing I splurge on occasionally is Constantly Varied Gear (CVG). My oldest pair are coming up on 2 years old. I love that they mix some crazy prints, some not as crazy, but also solid colors. They have different cuts, offer capri and full length, 3 different inseams for short, super cute skirts that make me feel like my best self (and I am NOT a skirt girlie and haven't been for the last 40 years). Another thing I found was their Limitless dress. Holy damn, that thing is comfy. Like I wear it to bed sometimes level of comfy. My fav pair right now are the Omni Black. I haven't worked out in them but have snuck them to work a couple times. Also, size range is decent. I wear a US women's size 20 and buy the XL. They have some compression but not restrictive unless you size down. I pretty much live in these on the weekends.

Pockets are SOOOOOO important!!!!! I've stopped buying leggings without pockets 😅 however, I've noticed that quite a few brands only put one pocket which I find impractical... I'm a runner and I usually only take my phone and keys with me, which I like to keep separate so my phone doesn't get scratched...

What!!?? Hard core Athleta fan here and I've never had a pair of leggings rip or pill on me and I've tried a lot of their lines and have thick thighs that rub. They never fall or roll and I have a belly. Athleta is amazing I absolutely love their powervita fabric that the elation and saltation are made of. Their transcend are super soft and don't stay up and I do have to size down but as plus size I love that because bigger girls have options

yes! I was confused by this too. and the pronunciation? for a second I wasn't even sure she was talking about Athleta. but as someone who has run multiple distance races in salutation leggings and shorts and they still are in top condition, I was confused by that review. in fact I even have a pair of transcends that don't feel as durable but so far they have been holding up just fine.
