    never the less you should always bend your knees, no matter the size of the jump. to ensure prevention of knee and back damage

    Precisions can be pretty tough. Jumping to a low or thin target can be pretty hard to land without slipping.

    watch out wen landing on your toes.....way to an easy injury. Great when you can do it every time though. Nice tutorial 5/5

    He meant 'running free' as a play on the words freerunning to run from the cops.
    But your only partially right. Parkour is pure efficiency and speed. Tricking is flips, handsprings, and the like. Freerunning is the freedom of movement, usually adding flips and such to your parkour run while maintaining the speed.

    nice video. I hate it when people are all serious when their filming.

  • @AccountofEpicness

    There are 2 main differences between parkour and free-running. Basically, parkour is all about getting from one place to another as fast, as agile as possible just by using your surroundings. Free-running is is like wasting your energy for the sake of fun. Free-running includes: Flips (all types of...), & e.t.c...
    In your case; you are refering to 'running free'. Which is a twist of both (I think). LOL.

    I don't quite agree with the arm swing description. For a jump like this where you are going down a height difference, it's proper to throw your arms forward, as Mat said. But what about a level precision, or a precision that requires a big jump? Then you need to throw the arms more up and less forward to get some extra height. Good precision, though!

  • @lonegibbon
    @lonegibbon 15 років тому

    Well then you need to put less power in and more control of your landing, really you need to land straight on your toes with your legs straightened out then as soon as your toes come into contact with the wall bend your legs, and it will help to 'stick' your landing more. Hope i helped :)

    just try to attempt it, even if you bail, you've still achieved something in diminishing the fear.

    i fractured my nose 1 1/2 months ago doing a backflip and landed too close to the wall i was flipping from, then a week later i tore a muscle in my back. i've started to get back into the swing of freerunning, but still haven't been able to do my flips since, i have to wait for my back to heal completely before i push myself as hard as i did.

  • @EdTheDragonSlayer
    @EdTheDragonSlayer 12 років тому

    To get rid of the mental block, keep your feet close together, lean forward while aiming, and remember that the precision is a two step process: the jump, and the landing. Aim, jump with all your might, THEN land
    Learned this after countless hour of shitting my pants before jumping lol
