Great stuff! Do you have a link to where you purchased the wheel from? I have a 2013 F10 with vibro and heating but I've read that you may potentially loose these functions when swapping for a new wheel. Thanks
laxstar2013 Thanks! 👍 i got mine used off ebay. You shouldnt loose any functions as long as the new wheel has the same extras as your old one.

@@Omarbrown204 the procedure doesn't, just make sure to get it off your car's local ebay. If you have an import, get it shipped from the origin country
@@THEELGAR any ideea on this : i got an F01 with 4 left buttons (lane departure and the other warnings)… it has already had a wheel change from the previous owner to the new model, but it seems my warning do not work, im thinking .. if the new wheel has no vibrations to make all that work .. could that be an issue for the errors… or dors it need coding? But im thinking the last owner would have coded it since he bought and installed it… ot it can simply not be the wheels fault for my warnings not working.. whats ur opinion on this?

F10 needs dual or 3 stage airbag ? Guy on eBay is insisting 3 stage airbag but I think he’s wrong
When I saw the air bag was different, I thought how the price of this swap just cost a nice bundle

Just fyi. You dont need to remove both terminals on the battery. Neg is enough.

only disconnect negative terminal, i have done this on my f10 BMW many times no issues no airbag error

If the old wheel didn’t have paddles then they won’t work as you will need some extra work done

For the flappy paddle...do you need to programme it?

If your old wheel already has paddles then should be the same, just a simple swap. But if youre planning to upgrade to paddles then there is wiring to do and also some programming if im right. 👍

When you started the cat, yellow small triangle orange color is on... That same is on my BMW 7...Do you know why that light is on. Someone said its just warning for some error or steering control is off....
You can check in the idrive menu. Mine was just for low screen wash. No faults because of steering wheel, everything was working perfect for me.
Have a series 530i 05 got an f series steering wheel. Did the swap but the buttons don't work. Any suggestions?
For that to work you would definitely need extra work done

Not much you can do. Hide the car if you can. Put some markings on things in case it goes and it ends up on eBay that way u might have a chance of getting it back and finding the thief’s. other than that make sure you’re insured

JD Ultima Yes, most F series wheels are very similar. And the f10 is the same as mine which is f07 👍
