Hello! I made a song that sounds like Skillet and Tobymac got blended in a smoothie together. I hope y'all like it because this is a little different from some of my other stuff.
I want to address the fact that even though I am a Christian, I will not be free sinful thoughts and behavior until I get my new body. I try to get it right, but sometimes I fall short. I mess up. Sometimes I want to be down right nasty and mean, even though I know it is displeasing to God and that I am hurting other people. I am thankful I have people in my life to hold me accountable. I am thankful for the Bible, which directs me to act how Christ would have me to act. I'm thankful for the Holy Spirit, who tells me when I'm going off in the ditch.
I want to be a person who loves because God loves me. He chose me. He said "I want you because I love you. I want you to love others in the way that I love you." I want to be that person. I may not always get it right because of my painfully human condition, but I seek to anyways because mercy through Jesus is extended to me when I do not deserve it.
