In Flames has Chris Broderick from Megadeth on guitar and Liam Wilson from the Dillinger Escape Plan on bass and they are playing mostly old songs again. Maybe God does love us 😭
So glad to see Chris playing out again. been a fan since Jag Panzer and Nevermore days. Also learned Downward fall from one of his instructional vids back in the day
I got the pick clip back in the day and it was the only thing I could use in terms of a "fingerpick"..it is great. The only problem is that once get used to it, it was tricky to go back to hold a pick yourself because with the pick clip the force you use to hold the pick is minimal...BTW Chris is a Legend.
Chris is a great dude. We opened for Jag Panzer in SLC way way back. We did a cover from AT The Gates & Chris was intrigued by the steps between thrash & the Gothenburg sound. Now he’s in one of the best Swedish bands ever. Party on Wayne 🤘🤘
Want some of those pics! I tried a few, and same thing, I didn’t like it or they just got way to uncomfortable and pinched. That guitar is sick by the way!🤙
This guy has come a long way with his interview skills. He used to be excruciating to watch with interrupting and sounding like he was coked up(could have been nervous).
@asianaxeman I was just referring to his interviewing skills not his knowledge. Watch some of the early ones and you will see what I mean. Absolutely unwatchable

This kind of guitar pick has been used in brazilian music since early 20th century. Samba players and people who play a kind of music called "chorinho" use this kind of pick attached to the thumb due to bass lines played in a 7 strings acoustic guitar.
@@ILoveTheAllCreatorua-cam.com/video/mNBER2zt1eY/v-deo.htmlsi=bTpg4NknCZo6xq4i you're welcome! Check it out a sample of how this guitar pick is used in brazilian music and how it sounds. Alternate picking is not used very often. Downpicking is more usual: while the thumb plays bass lines, other fingers of the right hand is used to play the harmony.
I wonder if he regrets leaving Megadeth? He has just kind of dropped off the map in my limited world of metal. It's one thing to get fired and have to find a new gig, but to voluntarily leave that mega band is almost unimaginable to me. I suppose all that mainstream fame and fortune can get overwhelming, but that's a strong statement that you feel so passionately about your music that you just walk away. I could not have done it.
@@Chet_Philodenge Yes, I know he's doing other things, but come on, it's not Megadeth. But, maybe that's what he wanted. More focusing on his style of metal rather than the giant commercial band like Megadeth. He's just such a killer talent.

Got one of my ESP's signed by Chris when he was with Megadeth, dude is so down to earth and humble
That is awesome! 🤘
I have a Savage 120 with a ENGL XXL 4x12 with V30's. It sounds amaaaazing.
Nice! I got my savage 120mkii a few months ago. Still playing through a cheap cab though. The Engl XXL 412 is the next thing on my list

He's actually been in the band In Flames for quite awhile! Not as popular in the states but they're awesome. Based in Sweden.
I would buy some of those picks! Jeezuz, I've been looking for something like that!
that pointy Jackson looks amazing!

1:10 I do still use his pick clips, I've got 3 of them, they're great.
man they are so hard to find nowadays, I've been looking to buy one for years
I’ve been using his pick clip for years. Wish I could get a spare or buy some of his new picks.
Been looking for one of his pick holders for a years now.

I wish Chis and Jeff Loomis would do something.
Does it work with pinch harmonics?

Had a pick clip from Chris but lost the damned thing. Shit, Chris make a variety of pics and let people choose their favorite.
