Good lessons for most drivers. I just sold a Bullitt Mustang to buy a 1954 3100 Chevy Patina pickup truck. I knew up front this may only be a grocery getter and it WILL get A/C but otherwise I will drive 55 ! LOL

I love the front end of those 55’s. Do you have any pictures.

Short and Sweet... Ha ha! I Typically would tell someone that wanted to own and run a classic car or truck... If you are not able to do your own work on the vehicles that not only are you going to need a fat sack of cash but you will need a lot of luck to not get Railroaded by Shops... Yes I'm an Honest and Talented Car Guy and do Most of not all Car related things... But it seems to be Very Hit and Miss for Non Car people to find and Keep Honest and Qualified people to take care of any Automotive Services.

I agree. If your not willing to work on them yourself, you will need a lot of money. However, most of them are not that complicated and there are more resources than ever for those that want to learn.😁

When you said the big block was getting better mpg than the small block. Is the big block higher compression or low compression?

That’s a good question. I did not build the motor but I would assume around 8 to 1. It’s just a 425 hp crate motor.
